Chapter 36 Fu Linghe's car accident

Chapter 36 Fu Linghe's car accident

The elevator reached the first floor and the door slowly opened.

The couple instantly switched back to the loving couple's appearance, as if they were not the ones who had the conflict in the elevator just now!

But only God and the earth know what happened just now, and they both know it!

Fu Linghe had already asked the driver to park the car in front of the company, and the two of them got into the car as soon as they got out.

It was a rare opportunity for him to be alone with Yun Zheng, so how could he bear to let the driver drive!

Fu Linghe personally opened the passenger door for Yun Zheng, and considerately placed his hand above the door to prevent her from hitting her head.

After Yun Zheng sat down, he quickly walked around to the driver's seat.

He sat down and threw his finely crafted suit jacket casually on the back seat.

Then, his slender fingers nimbly unbuttoned the cuffs of his snow-white shirt, his movements somewhat nonchalant and lazily.

The cuffs were folded up to the elbows little by little, revealing the cold white skin. Beneath the skin, the sexy blue veins bulged slightly, exuding an unintentional seductiveness.

After doing all this, he pulled the seat belt and buckled it, then turned his gaze to Yun Zheng's delicate little face, "Zheng Zheng, sit tight, we're leaving."

Yun Zheng watched the man's actions and swallowed unconsciously.

To be honest, Yun Zheng felt that she was quite cheap. Whenever they were alone, even if she could help but keep her eyes from falling on him, her peripheral vision would still look towards him uncontrollably.

She nodded slightly, without showing any emotion on her face, and just responded lightly, "Well, let's go!"

Fu Linghe started the car slowly and drove attentively without saying a word.

Yun Zheng didn't know which restaurant Fu Linghe was going to take her to, but she was also very glad that he didn't ask her what she wanted to eat or which restaurant she wanted to go to.

Because Yun Zheng herself doesn't know what she wants to eat!

Fu Linghe did not take the initiative to talk to Yun Zheng, and Yun Zheng didn't know what to say to him. She just sat there quietly, looking down at her fair and delicate little hands.

Yun Zheng didn't know if it was because Fu Linghe didn't chat with her, but she felt the car was unusually stuffy, so she reached out and lowered the window on her side to the lowest point.

The breeze from the car window blew in, ruffling her long hair and also ruffling Fu Linghe's hair.

Yun Zheng turned her head to look at the man beside her, her eyes inadvertently lingering on the scar next to his hairline on the right side of his forehead, and her heart couldn't help but move slightly.

How could a man who pursues perfection like Fu Linghe allow himself to have scars?

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something but stopping herself, and in the end she didn't know whether she should ask him or not.

The main reason was that Yun Zheng herself had no idea how to start.

Yun Zheng stared at him for a long time, and finally couldn't help but call him, "Fu Linghe..."

Fu Linghe turned the steering wheel with one hand, looking at the road ahead nonchalantly, with a hint of doubt in his deep voice, "Hmm"

After hearing the man's response, Yun Zheng didn't know how to organize her words.

I clearly just wanted to ask him how he got the injury on his head, but I didn't know how to start the conversation.

"What's wrong? Zheng Zheng." Fu Linghe put his hands on the steering wheel, and there was a hint of imperceptible nervousness in his tone.

We happened to be at an intersection and the red light had just come on.

The car came to a steady stop. Fu Linghe turned to look at Yun Zheng, his eyes full of worry. "You feel uncomfortable, are you carsick?"

Yun Zheng met the man's nervous gaze, and an inexplicable emotion flashed through her heart. She shook her head gently, "No."

The countdown for the red light has not yet ended, and Fu Linghe's eyes have never left Yun Zheng.

But the worry in his eyes gradually turned into a touch of tenderness, "What's the matter? Is there something on your mind? You can tell me if it's convenient."

Yun Zheng bit her lip and hesitated for a moment before lowering her voice and asking, "How did you get this scar?"

She tilted her head and raised her finger to point at the right corner of her forehead, which was about the same location as Fu Linghe's scar.

Fu Linghe was slightly startled, a complex emotion flashed in his eyes, and he was in a trance for a moment, as if he was lost in long-lost memories.

"If you don't want to say it, you don't have to." Yun Zheng observed the man's emotions and spoke carefully.

Fu Linghe shook his head slightly, a faint wry smile on his face, "It's nothing inconvenient to talk about. It was left over from the car accident when I was in my second year of high school."

His voice was calm, but Yun Zheng keenly caught the flash of pain in his eyes.

"Car accident?" Yun Zheng's heart suddenly tightened, and she subconsciously reached out her hand, wanting to touch the scar.

This was a subconscious action. After Yun Zheng reacted, her hand immediately stopped in mid-air. Her heart felt like it was being twisted by an invisible big hand, and she even had difficulty breathing.

"Is the injury serious?" Her voice trembled slightly, and her eyes were full of worry when she looked at him.

Fu Linghe held her hand that was hanging in the air, gently pulled it down and placed it on his leg.

"The wound on his head was quite deep. When he was taken to the hospital, his entire face was covered in blood. He stayed in the hospital for a long time and was given a grade 1 hospitalization."

His tone was flat, as if he was telling a story that had nothing to do with him, but Yun Zheng could feel the waves in his heart.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up your sad story." Yun Zheng looked up at the man, her tone full of apology.

She couldn't even imagine the young man who was full of vigor and vitality suffering in the hospital bed.

Light and shadow intertwined, mottled and colorful. Fine light poured through the gaps, outlining interlaced lines of light and dark on his face.

The eyes, which were originally as deep as the night, were now dyed into attractive amber by the light. They were so deep as if hiding endless secrets, yet so bright that they were fascinating.

It added a touch of captivating beauty to his already handsome face, making it impossible to take your eyes off him.

Fu Linghe shook his head slightly, a relieved smile curling up at the corner of his lips. "It's all in the past. And I believe everything is arranged for the best. There's nothing wrong with being held back a grade. At least I didn't have to work so hard during the year I was recuperating."

His eyes revealed a hint of relief and tenderness, because although the car accident brought pain, it also became a turning point in his life.

If he hadn't had the car accident, he wouldn't have met her, or even fallen in love with her...

"But I remember that you were a recommended student of our school and had already received the school's admission letter. Why didn't you go to college directly, but instead stayed a grade and continued to study from the second year of high school? Isn't this just a waste of time?" Yun Zheng looked at the man with some confusion.
