Chapter 367 Hypnosis Success

Chapter 367 Hypnosis Success

Cheng Yu couldn't help but hiss in pain, and three red marks immediately appeared on the back of his hand.

He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his gaze behind the lenses calm and controlled. "Mrs. Fu, I'm Cheng Yushen, Mr. Fu's hypnotist."

Yun Zheng's finger was still hovering above the dial button of the mobile phone, and she looked up suddenly when she heard the words.

She saw the neatly arranged instruments in the metal box, and her pupils suddenly constricted. "Hypnotist?"

Cheng Yushen nodded gently, "Yes, Mr. Fu's first hypnosis was not very effective, so let me perform a second hypnosis treatment on it."

Yun Zheng's voice was trembling. "When did he... ever undergo hypnosis treatment without my knowledge?"

Her voice was very soft, as if she was talking to herself.

Cheng Yushen didn't hide anything and said truthfully, "Mr. Fu's last hypnosis session was two days ago."

Two days ago? Wasn't that the day she and Mo Shi'an returned to the Mo family?

Yun Zheng suddenly understood why the clingy Fu Linghe would persuade her to go back to the old house with Mo Shian to rest, and why he was so weak when he video-called her.

It turned out that it was not that he did not sleep well, but that he had just finished hypnosis.

"Then why is he unconscious?" Yun Zheng looked at the lifeless man lying on the bed in the dim light at the head of the bed, her tone anxious.

The sunlight outside the window was blocked by the heavy curtains, with only a line of golden light leaking out at the edge.

Cheng Yushen's white coat shone coldly in the dim light.

He closed the medicine box with a soft click. "This is normal after a deep hypnosis."

He glanced at his watch. "I'll be awake in ten minutes."

"Ten minutes?" Yun Zheng's nails almost dug into her palms.

She rushed to the bedside and found that Fu Linghe's eyelashes were trembling slightly and fine beads of sweat had already seeped out of his forehead.

He unconsciously gripped the bed sheet into wrinkles, his knuckles turning white from the force.

"Yes, ten minutes at most." Cheng Yushen said as he packed his things.

Time passed minute by minute, Yun Zheng stared at Fu Linghe's pale face, her heart beating faster and faster.

She bit her lip, her voice trembling, "He doesn't look well at all now. Are you sure he's really okay?"

Cheng Yushen's expression was calm, and his tone was professional and distant. "A brief coma after hypnosis treatment is normal. Mrs. Fu doesn't need to..."

"No need for what?" Yun Zheng interrupted him abruptly, her eyes red. "He looks so pale and his breathing is so light. How can you expect me to believe this is just 'normal'?!"

She looked down at her phone, her fingers hovering over the dial button, her knuckles white from the effort.

"I can't wait even a minute." Yun Zheng took a deep breath and was about to press 120 with her fingertips.

"Zheng Zheng." A low and hoarse voice suddenly sounded in the quiet room.

Yun Zheng's fingers suddenly stopped, and her heart seemed to be clenched tightly.

She slowly turned her head and looked at the person on the bed in disbelief.

Fu Linghe's eyes were half open, his silver hair was scattered messily in front of his forehead, his lips were still a little pale, but his eyes were clear.

He looked at her, the corners of his lips slightly raised, his voice low and gentle, "I'm back."

When Yun Zheng heard his voice, her breathing stopped and tears welled up almost instantly.

The next second, the man reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling hard, and she fell into his arms.

Fu Linghe's arms tightened suddenly, with such force that Yun Zheng almost couldn't breathe.

He clasped the back of her head with his hands and pressed her tightly against his chest, as if he wanted to rub this soft body into his bones and blood.

"I remember now, I remember everything." The scent of cedar on his body mixed with the faint smell of disinfectant forcefully invaded her senses.

When Yun Zheng heard this, she was completely stunned. She had no idea what to do next and just snuggled in his arms.

"Zheng Zheng, I'm sorry. I missed the engagement party."

"I promised to go see the aurora with you, but I didn't get to see it and I made you so worried. I'm sorry."

When Yun Zheng heard him say this, she knew that her Fu Linghe had really returned.

Because these memories are impossible for 17-year-old Fu Linghe to have.

"Fu Linghe, you bastard..." Her voice choked, her fingers clutching his shirt, her knuckles turning white, "Do you know how scared I am?"

Fu Linghe let her beat him, but he tightened his arms and hugged her tighter.

His chin rested on the top of her hair, his breathing was heavy, and his voice was hoarse, "I know, I know everything."

Yun Zheng's fists gradually lost their strength, and in the end she just grabbed his collar, rested her forehead on his shoulder, and cried silently.

Fu Linghe placed his palm on the back of her neck, his fingertips gently caressing her delicate skin, as if soothing a frightened little animal.

He turned his head, put his lips next to her ear, and said in a voice so soft it sounded like a sigh: "Zheng Zheng, I'm sorry."

"You scared me to death!" Her voice choked, her fingers tightly clutched his shirt, tears falling uncontrollably.

Fu Linghe chuckled, gently stroked the back of her head with his hand, and pressed her against his chest.

His heartbeat was steady and strong, and could be heard through the thin fabric.

"I'm fine." He lowered his head, put his lips to her ear, his voice hoarse but gentle, "I just took a nap."

Yun Zheng sniffed and looked up at him, "You call this 'taking a nap'? Do you know that you just..."

Before she could finish her words, Fu Linghe suddenly lowered his head and kissed her lips.

The kiss was light, yet filled with irresistible tenderness.

Yun Zheng was stunned for a moment, then closed her eyes, her fingers unconsciously clutching his collar.

Cheng Yushen stood aside, pushed his glasses, and coughed lightly, "It seems that Mr. Fu has recovered well."

Yun Zheng suddenly came back to her senses. With her cheeks burning, she pushed Fu Linghe away and glared at him. Then she turned to look at Cheng Yushen, her tone still tinged with doubt, "Is he really okay?"

Cheng Yushen smiled slightly, "My memory has been fully restored. I just need to rest well from now on."

Fu Linghe leaned against the headboard, his fingers still entangled in Yun Zheng's hair. He raised his eyes lazily and looked at Cheng Yushen, "Thank you."

Cheng Yushen nodded and picked up the medicine box. "Then I'll be leaving first. I'll contact you if you need anything."

The door closed gently, and they were the only two people left in the room.

Yun Zheng stared at Fu Linghe and suddenly reached out to pinch his face. "Fu Linghe, you'd better explain to me clearly what hypnosis is. Why are you hiding it from me?"

Fu Linghe chuckled, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her back into his arms. He rested his chin on the top of her head and said in a low voice, "Because I want to remember everything about you."

Yun Zheng was startled and her heart skipped a beat.

He tightened his arms, his voice so soft it sounded like a sigh, "Now, I remember everything."

Yun Zheng's fingers were still on Fu Linghe's cheek, and the warmth there made her sure that this was not an illusion.

Her tears fell uncontrollably, hitting the back of his hand like hot pebbles.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to hypnotize me?" Her voice was so choked up that she could barely form a complete sentence. "Do you know how worried I would be if I woke up and couldn't find you?"

Fu Linghe's thumb gently wiped the corner of her eye, wiping away the tears that kept flowing.

He moved very gently, as if he was afraid of breaking something precious.

"I know," the man's voice was low and hoarse. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have worried you by not telling you."

The sunlight outside the window shines through the gaps in the thick curtains, casting a soft golden light.

The room was very quiet, with only Yun Zheng's suppressed sobs and Fu Linghe's steady breathing.

"Didn't we already agree that whether or not your memory can be restored depends on fate? Why did you keep the hypnosis treatment a secret from me?" Her fingers unconsciously clutched the front of his shirt, her knuckles turning white from the force.

Fu Linghe did not answer immediately.

He tilted his head back slightly, his silver hair spreading on the pillow, gleaming faintly in the dim light.

His Adam's apple rolled up and down, as if he was organizing his words.

"After the first hypnosis session, I had a lot of fragmented memories of you in my mind."

He spoke slowly, his voice filled with hypnotic fatigue. "I have your face in my memory. I know I should love you, but... it's not complete."

His brow furrowed. "All those important moments we've shared, they're like being obscured by fog."

Yun Zheng's heart seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand.

"So you decided to do it again?" Her voice rose an octave. "Do you know how dangerous deep hypnosis can be? Doctor Cheng said you might..."

"I'll lose all my memories." Fu Linghe continued calmly, "I know the risks."

"Then you still..."

"Because I have to remember everything about you." He suddenly interrupted her, his voice more resolute than ever before.

Those eyes, as calm as a lake, were now burning with a fire that Yun Zheng had never seen before.

"I have to remember our engagement party, why I missed it, and everything between us."

Yun Zheng's breathing stopped for a moment, and she just stared at him blankly.

Fu Linghe took her hand and placed it on his chest, his tone firm, "You are the most important person to me, but I have lost the part of my memory that has you in it. What's the difference between that and losing all my memories?"

"I can afford the risk of losing all my memories. Even if there's only a 0.001% chance of recovering my memories of you, I'll try."

"You..." Yun Zheng listened to his heartbeat and calmed down, but her voice was still trembling. "Do you really remember everything?"

Fu Linghe's lips curled up in a gentle arc.

He reached out and brushed away a strand of hair from her cheek, his fingertips gently tracing her outline.

"Everything. From the time you pulled me out of the leaking car to the time we got our marriage certificate..."

His voice suddenly became hoarse. "The proposal at the annual meeting, and the engagement party we didn't even have time to hold, I remember it all."

Yun Zheng's tears welled up again.

When Fu Linghe's fingertips touched the hot teardrop, his heart felt like it was being tightened by a thin thread.

He held Yun Zheng's face and gently wiped her wet eyelashes with his thumb.

"Don't cry." His voice was hoarse and he wiped the red corners of her eyes with his fingertips.

The more he wiped away the tears, the more they flowed down his wrists into his cuffs, leaving dark marks on his black shirt.

Yun Zheng's tears fell into his palm one by one like pearls with a broken string.

Fu Linghe suddenly leaned over and kissed away the tears hanging on her chin.

The warm lips moved along the tear marks and finally stopped on her trembling eyelids.
