Chapter 370 As soon as Fu Duidui opened his mouth, everyone fell silent!
The brother and sister sat in the back seat, chatting idly.
He didn't notice at all that someone in the passenger seat had a completely dark face.
Fortunately, the Mo family’s private hospital was not far from the old house, and they arrived there quickly.
The car slowly drove into the carved gate of the Mo family's old house, and the sycamore trees on both sides cast mottled shadows in the setting sun.
Yun Zheng looked through the car window and saw that the door of the old house was already full of people.
This is comparable to the enthronement of an ancient emperor!
Old Man Mo stood at the front with a cane, his old eyes full of anticipation.
Behind him were uncles, aunts and uncles from the Mo family's side branches, as well as a bunch of young faces, all of whom Yun Zheng had never seen before.
The servants were dressed in uniform and stood neatly on both sides of the red carpet.
As soon as the car door opened, a uniform voice came, "Welcome home, Miss!"
Yun Zheng's fingertips curled slightly, and she subconsciously looked at Fu Linghe in the co-pilot seat.
The man had already pushed the door and got out of the car, his silver hair blown by the evening breeze and his jawline was extremely tense.
He walked around to the back seat and reached out to lead her out of the car, his palms placed on the back of her waist, his strength not allowing her to be rejected.
"Let's go." He lowered his head and whispered in her ear. His voice was low, but it carried a hint of suppressed irritation. "I'm here."
Old Master Mo came up to her with a smile, his eyes full of love, "Zheng Zheng, I, an old man, have finally had you back!"
The old man's gaze lingered for a moment on Fu Linghe's hand holding Yun Zheng, then he turned to the crowd as if nothing had happened, "Don't stand there, let's go inside and talk!"
The red carpet stretched from the car door all the way to the main house entrance. Yun Zheng could feel the scrutiny from all directions with every step she took.
Fu Linghe's arms were tightly wrapped around her waist, and his fingertips unconsciously stroked the fabric on the side of her skirt, like some kind of silent declaration.
"Is this the daughter that Shen Feng just found? She's so pretty!"
An auntie wearing a Chanel-style suit came over with a smile, but her eyes were fixed on Fu Linghe. "Is this your husband? He is indeed a handsome man..."
Fu Linghe didn't even look at her and walked forward with Yun Zheng.
"Oh my, the young couple has such a good relationship!" Another cousin-in-law with permed hair covered her mouth and laughed, "Zheng Zheng's dress is a new model from D, right? It looks really nice."
Fu Linghe suddenly stopped.
"My wife looks good in anything she wears." He glanced sideways at the man, his dark eyes as cold as ice. "I don't need your comments."
The lively atmosphere froze in an instant.
Yun Zheng quietly pinched his arm, turned around and gave everyone an apologetic smile, "He's in a bad mood today, please don't mind."
Mo Shian came from behind and smoothed things over at the right moment, "Come in, dinner is ready."
The crystal chandelier in the main house's hall illuminates the entire space.
The long table was filled with exquisite meals, and the servants were busy pouring wine.
Fu Linghe pulled out a chair for Yun Zheng to sit down, and then he sat down next to her, his arms naturally resting on the back of her chair, forming a possessive encirclement.
"Zheng Zheng, try this." Mo Shi'an handed over a plate of crab meat and lion's head across the table. "I think it's pretty good."
Just as Yun Zheng was about to reach out, Fu Linghe had already intercepted the plate.
"She's had a bad stomach lately." He said expressionlessly, but gently cut the lion's head into small pieces before pushing them in front of Yun Zheng. "Eat less, it's greasy."
Old Master Mo took in everything from his seat, raised his glass with a smile, and said, "Today is a good day! Zhizhi is out of the hospital, Zhengzheng is home, and our family is finally reunited!"
Everyone raised their glasses.
Yun Zheng took a sip of red wine and noticed out of the corner of her eye that Fu Linghe's glass was barely moving.
She quietly held his hand under the table and gently scratched his palm with her fingertips.
Just like a owner stroking an angry cat's fur.
Fu Linghe clasped her fingers with his backhand, and the force of their intertwined fingers was a bit heavy, but he still picked up the wine glass and took a sip.
"Zheng Zheng," a distant cousin asked with a smile, "You're still young, why are you getting married so early? How did you and your husband meet?"
The table suddenly became quiet and everyone pricked up their ears.
Fu Linghe's thumb suddenly rolled heavily over Yun Zheng's knuckles. She shrank in pain, but he held her tighter.
"We..." She just opened her mouth when Fu Linghe interrupted her coldly.
"She got drunk and broke into my private room." A dangerous smile appeared on his lips. "And then..."
"Fu Linghe!" Yun Zheng's ears turned red instantly, and she stepped on him hard under the table.
The man chuckled and leaned close to her ear, saying in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Why, Mrs. Fu, do you dare to do it but not take responsibility for it?"
Their interaction caused several young women to cover their mouths and laugh.
Mo Shi'an put down his knife and fork, and the sound of metal clashing was particularly crisp. "Zheng Zheng, the kitchen has prepared almond tofu. It's your favorite flavor. Do you want to try it?"
Fu Linghe's eyes turned cold, and he suddenly raised his hand to call the maid: "Please change a tiramisu for my wife."
He turned to Yun Zheng, his voice deliberately soft, "Didn't you say you wanted to eat last night?"
Yun Zheng blinked. She didn't remember saying this at all.
But seeing Fu Linghe's slightly narrowed eyes, he nodded obediently, "Well, let's eat tiramisu."
Mo Shian's expression froze for a moment.
Dinner continued in this delicate atmosphere. Whenever someone tried to talk to Yun Zheng, Fu Linghe would interrupt without a word.
He would either help her pick up food, or lean close to whisper, or even reach out to wipe the non-existent sauce from the corner of her mouth, rubbing his fingertips across her lips in an ambiguous way, causing Yun Zheng to almost drop her fork on the ground.
"I'm going to the bathroom." She finally couldn't stand the weird atmosphere and got up and left.
The wall lamp in the corridor stretched the shadows very long. Yun Zheng had just closed the door when she heard footsteps behind her.
Before she could turn around, she was pressed against the wall.
Fu Linghe's silver hair hung down, shining coldly in the dim light.
He placed one hand on her ear and pinched her chin with the other. "Are you hiding from me?"
"I didn't..." Yun Zheng was surrounded by his scorching breath, and her heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably. "What's wrong with you today? Did I make you angry?"
"What do you think?" Fu Linghe asked with a sneer, rubbing his thumb heavily across her lower lip.
Yun Zheng shook her head blankly, "Probably... no?"
Fu Linghe's face darkened and he didn't say anything.
Yun Zheng knew that he must be angry, but she didn't know what he was angry about, so she didn't know how to coax him.
She looked at the man's gloomy face and asked tentatively, "Are you still angry about me asking you to sit in the passenger seat?"
Fu Linghe stared into her eyes and still didn't say anything.
She took it as his consent.
Yun Zheng held his face helplessly. "My brother and I were just chatting about family matters. He asked me about your recent hypnosis treatment."
"What did he ask me about?" Fu Linghe turned his head and snorted coldly, "You spent twenty minutes just talking about this?"
"What else?" Yun Zheng angrily punched his chest. "Fu Linghe, could you please stop being so childish!"
The man suddenly lowered his head and bit her earlobe. He only let go after hearing her gasp of pain. "Am I childish?"
His lips slid down along the neckline, leaving a noticeable red mark on the collarbone. "Yun Zheng, I don't like Mo Shi'an. I have hostility towards him, even if he is your brother!"
"What are you doing?" Mo Shian's voice suddenly came from the end of the corridor.
Fu Linghe didn't even look up, instead hugging Yun Zheng tighter. "Young Master Mo wants to watch this marital affair?"
Yun Zheng hurriedly pushed him away and straightened her messy collar. "Don't listen to him. We're just taking a stroll."
Mo Shi'an's gaze lingered on the tip of her red ear for a moment, and he finally said lightly, "Grandpa asked everyone to go to the tea room to eat fruit."
When I returned to the living room, several aunts were talking to Ning Zhi.
Seeing Yun Zheng coming in, he immediately waved enthusiastically, "Zheng Zheng, come here! We were just talking about your brother's childhood."
Fu Linghe followed her closely, like a silver wolf guarding its territory.
"You don't know how clingy your brother was when he was a child," said a cousin with a smile.
Fu Linghe's fingertips suddenly dug into Yun Zheng's waist, and she almost jumped up.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice terribly soft. "My wife isn't particularly interested in what you're discussing."
Yun Zheng pinched his thigh hard at an angle where no one could see.
The post-dinner chat continued until nine in the evening.
Old Master Mo stood up with the help of his cane. "It's getting late. Let's all go back and rest. Zheng Zheng and Ling He can stay here tonight too. We've prepared everything at home..."
Fu Linghe stood up and refused, "No need, let's go home. My wife can't sleep in an unfamiliar environment."
"It's so late..." Ning Zhi looked at her daughter reluctantly, trying to keep her.
"Mom, it's okay." Yun Zheng patted her mother's hand soothingly. "I'll come see you again tomorrow."
On the return trip, Fu Linghe drove without saying a word.
Yun Zheng secretly glanced at him several times. The man's angular profile flickered under the street light, and his thin lips were pursed into a straight line.
"Fu Linghe..." she called softly.
No response.
Yun Zheng bit her lip, suddenly unbuckled her seat belt, and leaned towards the driver's seat.
"What are you doing!" Fu Linghe held her down, "I'm driving!"
"Who told you to ignore me?" Yun Zheng took the opportunity to grab his arm and rubbed her cheek against it, "Don't be angry..."
Fu Linghe's Adam's apple rolled, and his voice remained cold and hard. "Sit down."
Yun Zheng reluctantly returned to her seat, but quietly placed her hand on his thigh.
Feeling his muscles tense instantly, she smiled triumphantly, "Mr. Fu, your heartbeat is so fast."
The car braked suddenly and stopped at the side of the road. Fu Linghe unbuckled his seatbelt, his silver hair glinting coldly in the moonlight.
He turned around and pinched Yun Zheng's chin. "Playing with fire?"
Yun Zheng blinked her big, innocent eyes and said, "I just wanted to appease my husband."
Fu Linghe's eyes darkened suddenly, and he leaned forward and kissed her. This kiss was like punishment, almost taking her breath away.
It was not until Yun Zheng pushed him softly that the man reluctantly let go.
"I'll deal with you when I get home." He said hoarsely, resting his forehead against hers.
After getting back on the road, Yun Zheng fastened her seat belt obediently, but the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.
Her hand was held by Fu Linghe, with their fingers interlocked and placed on her leg.
The man controlled the steering wheel steadily with one hand.
As the night deepens, neon lights flicker outside the car window.
Yun Zheng looked at Fu Linghe's perfect profile and suddenly felt.
This jealous silver-haired man is quite cute when he acts childish.
