Chapter 387: Like a young couple in love~
After taking the photos, Cen Lian'an kindly let the young couple see them. Fu Linghe returned the phone to Cen Lian and gently combed Yun Zheng's hair with his fingertips.
"You guys chat, I'm going to the study to deal with some documents." He lowered his head and kissed Yun Zheng's forehead, his voice soft, "Call me anytime if you need anything."
Yun Zheng nodded and watched his figure disappear around the corner of the spiral staircase.
The sunlight shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows onto his back, outlining a warm golden edge.
"Tsk tsk tsk." Cen Lian shook his toes and looked at Yun Zheng with a mischievous look on his face.
"Look at your eyes, they're almost threadbare, like a young couple in love. If you hadn't said it, who would have known that you two even have a child?"
Yun Zheng looked away, her cheeks slightly hot. She reached out and patted her arm. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Cen Li'an suddenly leaned closer and lowered his voice, "Honestly, judging from your Mr. Fu's attitude... has he recovered his memory?"
Her eyes gleamed with gossip. "Didn't Jiang Chenyu say that Fu Linghe's memory remained at the age of 18 after the plane crash?"
Yun Zheng's fingers unconsciously stroked the edge of the teacup, and the scented tea in the cup was no longer steaming.
She nodded slightly. "Yes, he had hypnosis treatment."
"What?" Cen Lian sat up suddenly, his teacup making a crisp clinking sound on the coffee table. "Is he crazy? I heard that if hypnosis treatment goes wrong, you may lose all your memory!"
Her voice rose slightly in shock, then quickly dropped again, "Fu Linghe wouldn't be unaware of the risks..."
Yun Zheng lowered her eyelashes, and her long eyelashes cast a small shadow under her eyes.
She remembered Fu Linghe's pale face after the hypnosis treatment that day, but he still gave her a soothing smile.
"He knows." Yun Zheng's voice was soft, as if she was afraid to disturb a precious memory. "But he said he couldn't stand any gap in his life involving me."
Cen Li'an took a deep breath, and her eyes softened. "Oh my God... How much does your husband love you?"
She held Yun Zheng's hand. "No wonder he looked after you like he was guarding some rare treasure."
The corners of Yun Zheng's mouth rose unconsciously, and a gentle gleam appeared in her eyes.
The sunlight outside the window shone right on her, giving her a soft golden glow.
"Oh right," Cen Lian suddenly remembered something, and his expression became a little hesitant, "How are you and the Mo family... now?"
She carefully observed Yun Zheng's expression. "They...are you going to acknowledge them?"
Yun Zheng's smile froze slightly.
She turned her head to look out the window. The snow in the garden sparkled in the sunlight, like broken diamonds scattered on the ground.
"We've finally recognized each other," she whispered, her fingers unconsciously caressing her belly. "They've been really good to me... and they've been a great help in finding Fu Linghe this time. I'm very grateful to them."
Cen Lian frowned slightly, "But the Fu family and the Mo family..."
"I know." Yun Zheng interrupted her, turning back with a determined look in her eyes. "But they promised not to disturb my life, and I believe Fu Linghe can handle the relationship between the two families."
Cen Li'an hesitated to speak, and finally just sighed, "As long as you feel happy."
She paused, then suddenly raised her eyebrows. "Don't just talk about me. What's going on between you and Jiang Chenyu?"
When Jiang Chenyu was mentioned, Cen Lian'an's face instantly turned red, like clouds dyed red by the setting sun.
She hurriedly picked up the teacup to cover it up, "That's...that's it."
A cunning glint flashed in Yun Zheng's eyes, and she deliberately dragged out her tone, "That—what kind of thing is that?"
"Oh, it's just..." Cen Lian hesitated, twisting his fingers together, "Occasionally have a meal together, watch a movie or something..."
Just as Yun Zheng was about to continue asking questions, a crisp cell phone ring saved the embarrassed Cen Lian.
She grabbed the phone as if she had been granted amnesty, and her eyes lit up when she saw the caller ID.
"Hello?" She answered the phone, her voice unconsciously softening. "Now? I'm at Tanxiyuan...Okay, I'll be right there."
After hanging up the phone, Cen Lian quickly stood up, the blush on his face still not completely fading. "Jiang Chenyu said there's a new dessert shop that's opened, and asked if I wanted to go try it together."
She grabbed her bag that was on the sofa, "Um...I'll be leaving first?"
Yun Zheng smiled and shook her head, "Go ahead, you're a man who values women over friends."
Cen Li'an made a face, leaned over and hugged Yun Zheng, "I'll come see you again when I have time."
She took a step back and suddenly became serious. "You must take good care of yourself. If you feel unwell, tell Fu Linghe immediately. Got it?"
"I know, housekeeper." Yun Zheng pinched her face, "Go quickly, don't keep anyone waiting anxiously."
After seeing Cen Lian off, the villa suddenly became quiet.
Yun Zheng stood in the middle of the living room, the sunlight shining on her through the floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching her shadow very long.
Wu Ma was preparing lunch in the kitchen, and there was a slight sound of pots and pans colliding.
Yun Zheng looked up at the second floor and saw the study door was closed.
She hesitated for a moment and tiptoed up the stairs.
The carpet beneath her feet absorbed the sound of her footsteps, making her feel like a light cat.
She stopped in front of the study door and raised her hand to knock, but was afraid of disturbing him while he was working.
Just as she was hesitating, Fu Linghe's deep voice came from inside the door, "Come in."
Yun Zheng pushed open the door, and was greeted by the faint scent of sandalwood and paper.
The study is very large, with an entire wall covered in bookshelves filled with various hardcover books.
The other wall is a floor-to-ceiling window, and sunlight shines in through the gauze curtains, casting a soft filter on the entire room.
Fu Linghe sat behind a large solid wood desk with several documents spread out in front of him.
He was wearing a simple white shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing his well-defined forearms.
The sunlight shone from behind him, outlining his perfect profile, and even his eyelashes were dyed golden.
"Why don't you continue chatting with Miss Cen?" He put down his pen and reached out to Yun Zheng.
Yun Zheng walked over, was pulled into his arms, and sat on his lap.
She reached out and smoothed his slightly furrowed brow. "She went on a date with Jiang Chenyu."
She leaned against his chest and could hear his steady and strong heartbeat. "What are you busy with?"
Fu Linghe rubbed his chin against the top of her head. "Look at the quarterly report."
He tangled his fingers in her hair. "Did you enjoy chatting?"
"Yeah." Yun Zheng nodded, then suddenly remembered something and looked up at him. "An An asked me if you had recovered your memory."
Fu Linghe paused for a moment, then chuckled, "She's quite perceptive."
"She said..." Yun Zheng bit her lower lip, "Hypnosis therapy is very dangerous."
Fu Linghe was silent for a moment and held her face in his hands.
The sunlight shone from behind him, giving him a golden edge, but making Yun Zheng unable to see the emotions in his eyes.
"Worth it." He finally said only these two words, then lowered his head and kissed her lips.
The kiss was gentle and long, with the warmth of sunshine and the scent of sandalwood.
Yun Zheng closed her eyes, feeling his breath and heartbeat, as if they were the only two people left in the world.
After the kiss, Fu Linghe didn't let her go. Instead, he rested his forehead against hers and asked in a low voice, "Are you hungry? Aunt Wu should be ready for lunch soon."
Yun Zheng shook her head, "I'm not hungry."
Yun Zheng rubbed against his arms like a lazy cat.
Fu Linghe chuckled softly, and his slender fingers gently combed her long hair. The sunlight filtered through the hair, casting tiny shadows on his palm.
"Would you like to see a movie?" His voice was filled with fondness. "There's a new art film that came out recently. I heard it's very healing."
Yun Zheng's eyes lit up, and when she looked up, the tip of her nose accidentally brushed against his chin. "When did you start paying attention to art films?"
Fu Linghe pinched the tip of her small nose and said, "Ever since I knew I was going to be a father."
He picked up the tablet on the table. "The doctor said pregnant women need to stay cheerful."
Yun Zheng chuckled, "Is President Fu secretly reading a lot of pregnancy guides now?"
"That's not all." He swiped the screen seriously, "There's also 'Must-Read for Expectant Fathers' and 'Pregnancy Nutrition Handbook'..."
Before he could finish his words, Yun Zheng covered his mouth with her hand while laughing.
"Stop, stop, stop, Master Fu." Her eyes were filled with laughter. "You're putting so much pressure on me."
Fu Linghe grabbed her hand and kissed it softly on the lips, "Then let's change the subject."
He suddenly remembered something, "Oh, I've already reserved a whole day for my first prenatal checkup next week."
Yun Zheng blinked. "No need to be so exaggerated, right? The doctor said it's still early pregnancy."
"It's different." Fu Linghe said seriously, "It's the first time I heard the baby's heartbeat."
His voice softened unconsciously. "The doctor said it sounded like a train."
Yun Zheng felt warm in her heart and was about to say something when she suddenly felt slightly nauseous.
She subconsciously covered her mouth, and Fu Linghe immediately supported her nervously, "Are you vomiting again?"
"It's okay..." Yun Zheng took a deep breath, "I just suddenly felt a little nauseous."
Fu Linghe immediately stood up and poured a glass of warm water, then took out the lemon slices he had prepared from the drawer. "It will feel better if you hold it in your mouth."
Yun Zheng took the cup of water and looked at his nervous expression, feeling warm in her heart. "When did you prepare these?"
"I've been preparing it since your morning sickness started." Fu Linghe patted her back gently. "I asked the doctor, and he said it's okay to drink some lemon water during the early stages of pregnancy."
The sunlight quietly shifted, giving the two people hugging each other a warm golden edge.
Wu Ma knocked gently on the door, "Sir, Madam, lunch is ready."
On the dining table, Wu Ma specially prepared light dishes.
Fu Linghe carefully helped her fill a small bowl of clear soup and added a few slices of vegetables. "Drink slowly, be careful of the heat."
Yun Zheng scooped a spoonful and suddenly frowned. "It seems... too oily."
Fu Linghe immediately took it and tasted it, "I'll ask Aunt Wu to make it again."
"No need." Yun Zheng held him back, "I just suddenly lost my appetite."
She was a little embarrassed, "Can you... help me get some fruit?"
A smile flashed in Fu Linghe's eyes. He stood up and brought a plate of sliced apples from the kitchen. "I just bought them this morning. They're very fresh."
After lunch, the two of them stayed in the audio-visual room to watch a movie.
Yun Zheng leaned on Fu Linghe's shoulder, and her eyelids gradually became heavy.
In a daze, she felt someone gently laying her down and carefully covering her with a thin blanket.
"Go to sleep." Fu Linghe's deep voice seemed to come from far away. "I'm here with you."
Half asleep and half awake, Yun Zheng felt a warm hand gently stroking her hair, as if soothing a precious dream.
When she woke up again, the sun was setting outside the window.
There was only a warm yellow wall lamp on in the audio-visual room. Fu Linghe was reading documents by the light. When he saw her wake up, he immediately put down his work.
"Are you awake?" He leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?"
Yun Zheng shook her head and put her arms around his neck. "You haven't rested yet?"
Fu Linghe helped her up and said, "Seeing you were sleeping soundly, I wanted to stay with you."
He smoothed her sleep-disheveled hair. "Would you like to go for a walk in the garden? The doctor said a bit of walking would be good for you."
The garden is quiet and beautiful in the twilight, and the roses that have just been watered are sparkling in the setting sun.
Fu Linghe carefully supported Yun Zheng as she walked on the cobblestone path, reminding her to watch her step from time to time.
"Fu Linghe." Yun Zheng suddenly stopped and looked up at him. "Are you happy now?"
Fu Linghe was slightly startled, then lowered his head and rested his forehead against hers. "It's happier than I imagined when I was eighteen."
The setting sun painted a golden edge on his deep outline, "especially..."
His hand gently covered her belly, "After knowing the existence of these two little lives."
Yun Zheng smiled and leaned into his arms. "The doctor said it's only the size of a small bean now."
"That is also the most precious little bean in the world." Fu Linghe hugged her from behind, and the two of them looked at the setting sun in the distance.
