Chapter 400 The cutest dad-to-be in the world

Yun Zheng gently pinched Fu Linghe's injured finger and took out iodine and a Band-Aid from the medicine box.

The sunlight filtered through the gauze curtains, casting tiny spots of light between his bony fingers.

"Does it hurt?" She carefully dipped a cotton swab in iodine and gently applied it to the cut.

Fu Linghe shook his head, but his eyes were always fixed on her drooping eyelashes.

Her eyelashes shone with a light brown luster in the sunlight, and trembled gently with her breathing, like two small fans.

"Don't do that again." Yun Zheng tore off the Band-Aid wrapper and gently placed it on his wound. "As the president of the Fu Group, you injured yourself making almond cookies. If that gets out, it's going to be a scandal."

Fu Linghe chuckled, suddenly grabbed her wrist with his backhand and pulled her into his arms.

Yun Zheng was caught off guard and fell onto his lap. Her nose hit his solid chest and she smelled a faint scent of cedar and a hint of caramel sweetness.

"Mrs. Fu is right." His voice came from above his head, with a clear smile, "I promise I won't do it again next time."

Yun Zheng looked up and glared at him, but was met with a pair of eyes full of tenderness.

The sunlight shone from behind him, giving his features a golden edge, and even his eyelashes turned into transparent gold.

"You..." She was about to speak when Fu Linghe suddenly tightened his arms and held her tightly in his arms.

His chin rested on the top of her head, his breath ruffling her hair.

"Zheng Zheng." He called her in a low and gentle voice.

"Hmm?" Yun Zheng leaned against his chest and could clearly hear his strong heartbeat.

Fu Linghe was silent for a while, his fingers unconsciously stroking the star bell on her wrist.

"We haven't taken wedding photos yet." he said suddenly.

Yun Zheng was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing: "We've been married for half a year, and you're only remembering it now?"

"We haven't had the wedding yet." Fu Linghe continued, his voice serious. "I want to wait until you have given birth and recovered before having the wedding. Is that okay?"

Yun Zheng looked up at him and found that his brows were slightly furrowed, and his eyes were focused and gentle.

She reached out and smoothed the wrinkles between his brows. "Why are you so serious? It's not like we have to have a wedding."

Fu Linghe grabbed her hand and gently kissed her fingertips. "I want to give you the best. Now that you're pregnant with two children, I'm afraid the wedding will be too tiring."

"Mr. Fu," Yun Zheng said with a deliberately stern face, "Have you forgotten that I stood in high heels for half an hour on the day of our engagement party?"

Fu Linghe immediately showed an annoyed expression, "I should have insisted that you wear flat shoes that day."

Yun Zheng couldn't help laughing and pinched his cheek. "Okay, I was just kidding. The wedding can be held anytime, anyway..."

She paused, her cheeks flushed slightly, "Anyway, I'm already your Mrs. Fu."

Fu Linghe's eyes softened instantly. He lowered his head and pecked her on the lips. "But I still want to give you a perfect wedding."

"Then..." Yun Zheng rolled her eyes, "I want to wear two wedding dresses at the wedding, one with a tutu skirt and one with a mermaid skirt."

"good."

"I'm going to cover the entire venue with real flowers."

"good."

"I want..." Yun Zheng suddenly thought of something and smiled slyly, "I want you to make me a wedding cake yourself."

Fu Linghe's expression froze for a moment, then he smiled helplessly, "Mrs. Fu, are you trying to test my cooking skills?"

"What? Mr. Fu doesn't dare to accept the challenge?" Yun Zheng raised her eyebrows provocatively.

Fu Linghe suddenly turned over and pressed her down on the couch, his hands on either side of her, looking down at her condescendingly, "Provocation doesn't work on me."

He lowered his head and gently bit the tip of her nose. "But for Mrs. Fu, I can continue to study with Master Yang for another three months."

Yun Zheng giggled and dodged, and the bell on her wrist made a crisp sound.

Fu Linghe suddenly stopped and gently placed his palm on her slightly pregnant belly.

"Don't make a fuss, be careful not to crush the baby." His voice was incredibly gentle.

Yun Zheng calmed down, and the sunlight shone through the gauze curtains, casting mottled shadows on them.

She reached out and touched Fu Linghe's cheek, tracing his outline with her fingertips.

"Actually," she said softly, "it doesn't really matter whether we have a wedding or not. We're perfect the way we are now."

Fu Linghe grabbed her hand and kissed it. "But I want the whole world to know that Yun Zheng is my, Fu Linghe's, wife."

"The whole world has known this for a long time," Yun Zheng said with a smile. "Mr. Fu's announcement at the annual meeting was trending on the internet for three days."

Fu Linghe's ears flushed slightly, and he rarely showed an embarrassed expression: "I drank a little too much that day to build up my courage."

"Oh?" Yun Zheng deliberately stretched out her words, "Then 'I, Fu Linghe, only love Yun Zheng in this life' was also drunken nonsense?"

"This is true." Fu Linghe immediately said seriously, his eyes so serious that Yun Zheng's heart beat faster.

The sun gradually sets in the west, and the room is filled with warm tranquility.

Fu Linghe lay on his side, holding Yun Zheng in his arms, combing her long hair with his fingers from time to time.

"Wedding photos," he suddenly said. "I want to wait until you have the baby and have recovered before taking them."

Yun Zheng looked up at him and said, "Any time is fine."

Fu Linghe's fingertips gently stroked her abdomen, his eyes incredibly gentle. "I want to record every important moment of yours."

Yun Zheng moved her feet slightly and accidentally pulled her ankle, causing her to hiss in pain.

Fu Linghe immediately sat up nervously: "What's wrong? Your feet hurt again?"

"It's okay," Yun Zheng waved her hands, "I just stood for too long yesterday..."

Fu Linghe pulled her ankle without hesitation and began to massage it gently. His technique was very professional, and his strength was just right.

"Did you learn this from the doctor?" Yun Zheng squinted her eyes comfortably.

"Yeah." Fu Linghe said without even looking up, "I also learned maternity massage and postpartum care."

Yun Zheng's heart warmed, and she suddenly remembered something. "Oh, by the way, you said you were going to the hospital to get the report this morning. What else did you do?"

Fu Linghe paused for a moment, then said nonchalantly, "By the way, I asked about pregnancy nutrition and exercise plans."

"What else?"

"I have made an appointment for a 4D color Doppler ultrasound next month."

"What else?"

Fu Linghe finally looked up and looked at her helplessly, "I also went to the maternity and baby store to buy some things."

Yun Zheng's eyes lit up, "What is it?"

Fu Linghe's ears turned red again. "Just... some necessities."

Yun Zheng persisted, "What exactly is it?"

Fu Linghe sighed, pulled his phone from his pocket, opened the photo album, and handed it to her. The photo showed a pile of pink and blue baby supplies.

"You bought so much?" Yun Zheng flipped through the photos in surprise. "This is enough for ten babies."

Fu Linghe coughed lightly, "The salesperson said twins consume more..."

Yun Zheng suddenly noticed a touch of pink in the corner of the photo. "What is this?" She enlarged the picture and found that it was a small princess dress.

Fu Linghe's eyes wandered, "I just... thought it was cute..."

A warm feeling welled up in Yun Zheng's heart. She put down her phone, leaned over and hugged Fu Linghe's neck: "Mr. Fu, you are really..."

Fu Linghe took advantage of the situation and put his arm around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. "What is it really?"

"You are the cutest expectant father in the world." Yun Zheng whispered in his ear.

Fu Linghe chuckled, his warm breath on her neck. "Then Mrs. Fu is the most beautiful expectant mother in the world."

The afterglow of the setting sun poured in through the window, stretching the figures of the two people hugging each other.
