Chapter 436 All the roses in the garden are not as beautiful as my rose!
Fu Linghe was already awake when the early morning sunlight streamed into the bedroom through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
He lay on his side, his eyes lingering on Yun Zheng's sleeping profile.
Her eyelashes cast tiny shadows in the morning light, and her breathing was even and soft.
He stood up carefully, not wanting to disturb her sweet dream.
At this moment, Yun Zheng turned over and her arm unconsciously reached towards him.
"What time is it?" she asked vaguely, her voice still tinged with sleep.
"It's just past seven." Fu Linghe leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Sleep a little longer. We'll set off to see the sea of flowers at nine."
Yun Zheng shook her head and struggled to sit up. "I don't want to sleep anymore. I want to get ready."
She rubbed her eyes, stretched, and looked out the window at the clear blue sky. "What a nice day today."
Fu Linghe couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at her sleepy yet forced appearance.
He reached out and brushed the hair away from her cheek. "Go wash up first. I'll ask someone to prepare breakfast."
When Yun Zheng came out of the bathroom, Fu Linghe was already dressed and was on the balcony making phone calls to arrange the itinerary.
He turned around and saw her, his eyes lit up. Yun Zheng was wearing a light pink chiffon dress, the hem of which fluttered gently as she walked.
"Beautiful." He hung up the phone, walked over to her, and gently stroked her collarbone with his fingers. "This dress suits you very well."
A faint blush appeared on Yun Zheng's face. "I prepared it specially for today."
"She turned around,"How is it?"
"Perfect." Fu Linghe took her hand, "But there's still one thing missing."
He pulled a small box from his pocket, revealing a pair of delicate pearl hairpins. "They go perfectly with your outfit today."
Yun Zheng took it with surprise, "When did you prepare so many things?"
"A secret." Fu Linghe winked mysteriously and helped her pin the hairpin to her ear. "My Zheng Zheng deserves the best."
Breakfast is a local fruit platter and freshly baked croissants, served with freshly squeezed orange juice.
Yun Zheng sipped the juice and watched Fu Linghe skillfully operate the professional camera, checking the lens and settings.
"When did you learn photography?" she asked curiously.
Yun Zheng knew that Fu Linghe could take pictures, but looking at his movements today, it was obvious that he had learned it, and he was a little too professional.
Fu Linghe looked up, a smile on his lips. "Since the day I decided to bring you to Xingyue Island."
He adjusted the aperture. "I hired three teachers and took twenty classes."
Yun Zheng felt warm in her heart.
He was always like this, taking her every wish to heart and even learning new skills to do so.
She reached out and placed her hand on the back of his. "Mr. Fu is so thoughtful. How can I repay him?"
Fu Linghe held her fingers in his backhand, brought them to his lips and kissed them softly, "Mrs. Fu, just be my model today."
After breakfast, they took the villa’s special car to the island’s famous sea of red roses.
Along the way, Fu Linghe patiently introduced the shooting plan to Yun Zheng.
"The morning light is soft, perfect for portraits," he said, pointing to the sample images on the camera screen. "I'll find some unique angles. You just need to relax and be yourself. If I don't capture such a beautiful model, then my skills as a photographer are terrible."
Yun Zheng nodded, but her heart beat faster involuntarily.
The car stopped at the entrance of the sea of flowers. The scent of roses that hit Yun Zheng's face made her forget her nervousness in an instant.
Before my eyes was an endless sea of red. Thousands of roses swayed in the breeze, and sunlight filtered through the petals, casting mottled shadows on the ground.
"It's so beautiful!" She couldn't count how many times she had exclaimed this since arriving on the island.
Fu Linghe stood behind her, his hands gently resting on her shoulders. "Not as beautiful as you."
He whispered in her ear, his warm breath caressing her earlobe, "Are you ready, my Miss Rose?"
Yun Zheng took a deep breath and nodded.
Fu Linghe took her hand and led her into the depths of the sea of flowers.
"Let's take the photo here first." Fu Linghe looked around and chose a spot with the best lighting. "Stand next to that bunch of flowers. Yes, that's it."
Yun Zheng stood up as he instructed, her fingers twisted together unconsciously.
Fu Linghe looked at her through the viewfinder and gently instructed her, "Relax, let your shoulders drop naturally... Yes, now turn slightly to the side and push your hair aside..."
His voice was low and gentle, like a soothing medicine, gradually calming Yun Zheng's tension.
She began to naturally strike various poses, sometimes lowering her head to smell the roses, sometimes looking up to feel the sunshine, her skirt and hair fluttering gently in the breeze.
Fu Linghe's camera faithfully records every moment.
He sometimes squatted, sometimes stood up, and even lay on the ground to find a unique angle.
Sweat trickled down his temples, but he was completely oblivious, completely focused on the image in the viewfinder.
"Great, Zheng Zheng." He pressed the shutter, capturing the moment when Yun Zheng turned around and smiled. "That's it, keep this expression."
Yun Zheng was amused by his focused look. "Is Photographer Fu so serious?"
"Of course." Fu Linghe adjusted the camera parameters. "My model is so beautiful, how can I be careless?"
He walked closer to her, reached out and plucked a half-opened rose, gently tucked it behind her ear, and said, "Take a few more pictures from this angle."
The close contact made Yun Zheng's heart beat faster.
Fu Linghe's light woody scent mixed with the scent of roses lingered at the tip of her nose.
He took a few steps back, and aimed the camera at her, but his eyes were more fiery than ever.
"Mrs. Fu," he pressed the shutter, his voice hoarse, "Do you know how attractive you are right now?"
Yun Zheng's face turned red instantly. She subconsciously raised her hand to cover her hot cheeks, but Fu Linghe caught this cute action in time.
"Perfect!" he said excitedly, examining the photo he had just taken. "I have to get this one developed and hang it in our bedroom."
The shooting lasted nearly two hours. Fu Linghe changed three lenses and took hundreds of photos.
Although Yun Zheng was wearing flat shoes, she felt a little tired from constantly walking among the flowers.
"Take a break." Fu Linghe keenly sensed her tiredness, put away the camera, and took her to an open meadow in the middle of the sea of flowers.
To Yun Zheng's surprise, a picnic mat had been laid out and an exquisite lunch basket was placed there.
"When did you arrange this?" she asked in surprise.
Fu Linghe smiled mysteriously, "When you change clothes."
He opened the food basket and took out Yun Zheng's favorite macarons and iced champagne. "Replenish some energy."
The young couple was eating snacks on the grass surrounded by roses.
While pouring champagne for Yun Zheng, Fu Linghe looked through the photos he had just taken and expressed admiration from time to time.
"The lighting in this picture is so well handled." He pointed to a photo on the screen showing Yun Zheng in profile, her head bent down to smell a flower. "Your eyelashes look like butterfly wings in the sunlight."
Yun Zheng leaned over to take a look and was also amazed by the effect of the photo.
Fu Linghe does have a talent for photography. He captured not only her appearance, but also her natural charm.
"I want to send a few pictures to my mother," she said, pulling out her cell phone.
Fu Linghe held her hand, "Wait, there's something better."
He blinked mysteriously and said, "When we get back to the villa this afternoon, I'll help you pick out a few and edit them before posting them."
After finishing the snacks, Fu Linghe took Yun Zheng to another place and took a few more photos.
This time, he let Yun Zheng lie on the grass covered with rose petals, with her skirt spread out and her long hair like a waterfall.
He stood on a high place and took the bird's-eye view, capturing her figure and the endless sea of flowers in the camera.
"Turn your head a little more, yes, look at me..."
Fu Linghe's voice came from above. Yun Zheng obediently adjusted her posture, but couldn't help laughing the moment he pressed the shutter.
"What's wrong?" Fu Linghe asked curiously.
"Your expression just now was too serious," Yun Zheng said with a smile, "like you were in a commercial movie."
Fu Linghe put down his camera and rushed to her side in a feigned anger, "How dare you laugh at your photographer?"
He leaned over and gently bit her earlobe as punishment, causing Yun Zheng to tremble slightly.
While we were playing, the sun was already overhead and hot air was rising from the ground.
Fu Linghe looked at the time, reached out to wipe the fine sweat from his forehead, and helped Yun Zheng tidy up her messy dress and hair.
"It's time to go back. You should take a rest and don't get a heat stroke."
On the way back in the car, Yun Zheng leaned on Fu Linghe's shoulder, looked through the photos in his camera, and exclaimed from time to time.
Fu Linghe put one arm around her shoulders and slid the screen with the other hand to make it easier for her to see.
"This one..." He pointed to a photo taken against the light, but found that Yun Zheng had fallen asleep on his shoulder.
He gently adjusted her position to make her sleep more comfortably, his eyes softly gazing at her tired but contented sleeping face.
After returning to the villa, Fu Linghe carefully picked up the sleeping Yun Zheng and placed her on the big bed in the master bedroom.
He gently took off her shoes, covered her with a thin blanket, then sat by the bed and looked at her quietly for a while.
After confirming that Yun Zheng was asleep, Fu Linghe took out his laptop and began to screen and edit the photos.
He concentrated on adjusting the tone and lighting of each photo, and from time to time he looked up at Yun Zheng who was sleeping peacefully on the bed, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously rose.
Two hours later, Fu Linghe selected nine photos from hundreds of photos, made some minor modifications, and imported them into his mobile phone.
He secretly kissed Yun Zheng's forehead, then walked to the balcony and posted the photo on Weibo.
"All the roses in the garden are not as beautiful and dazzling as my rose @云筝" he added the text, and then looked at the notification of successful posting with satisfaction.
Returning to the bedroom, Fu Linghe found that Yun Zheng had turned over but was still sleeping soundly.
He gently opened the wardrobe and began to choose the dress she would wear in the evening.
This was the crimson velvet dress he had secretly prepared, which matched her rose theme for the day.
After choosing the clothes, Fu Linghe checked the dinner arrangements and evening surprises.
After everything was ready, he returned to the bed, leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on Yun Zheng's lips.
"Sleep, my darling," he murmured softly.
