Chapter 437 Prepared a Surprise for Me
Yun Zheng slowly woke up from her sleep. The sun was already setting in the west, casting long golden shadows in the room.
She stretched, her fingertips touched the cold screen of her mobile phone, and she subconsciously picked it up to check the time.
4:20 pm.
She slept for nearly two hours.
The lock screen shows that there are more than a dozen new message reminders on Weibo.
Yun Zheng rubbed her eyes, unlocked her phone and clicked on it, only to find that they were all messages @ her.
The first one was a Weibo post by Fu Linghe three hours ago: "A garden full of roses is not as beautiful as my rose @云筝"
The accompanying picture is a nine-grid photo, all taken in the rose garden this morning.
Yun Zheng opened her eyes wide and watched the pictures flash by. There was a close-up of her profile as she bent down to sniff a rose, a moment when her skirt fluttered among the flowers, and a full-body shot of her lying on the petals.
Each photo has an exquisite composition and perfect handling of light and shadow, perfectly presenting her most moving side.
"This idiot, he took so long to take pictures and didn't even take a good rest." Yun Zheng murmured softly, her fingertips trembling slightly as they hovered over the screen.
She knew that Fu Linghe was always serious about his work, but she didn't expect that he would learn photography specifically just to take pictures of her, and he would edit the photos so carefully.
The comment section has exploded:
"Ahhh, Mr. Fu is such a great photographer! The composition and lighting are like those of a professional photographer!"
"Sister Yun Zheng is so beautiful! With this figure and temperament, how can she look like someone who has given birth?"
"+1 for the person above. This person's waist is thinner than mine, a single woman. I'm so jealous."
"Mr. Fu's wife has stars in her eyes"
"God-like love! Please, Mr. Fu, give me a photography tutorial and a tutorial on how to pamper your wife!"
"Am I the only one who noticed Mr. Fu's reflection in the last photo? He was gazing at his wife lovingly the entire time!"
Yun Zheng was amused by these comments and laughed out loud. Especially after seeing the comment about Fu Linghe's reflection, she went back to take a closer look at the photo.
Sure enough, in the last photo with reflective surface, you can vaguely see Fu Linghe concentrating on taking the photo.
Just as she was immersed in the comments section, the bedroom door was gently pushed open.
Fu Linghe walked in carrying an exquisite tray with freshly cut fruits, sandwiches and a cup of steaming floral tea.
"Awake?" His voice was as gentle as the breeze through a rose garden. He walked to the bed and put down the tray. "You looked so sound asleep, I didn't have the heart to wake you."
Yun Zheng turned her phone screen towards him, her eyes sparkling. "Mr. Fu, when did you post that on Weibo?"
Fu Linghe's lips curled up into a smug smile. He sat on the edge of the bed, took the phone and glanced at it. "Not long after you fell asleep."
He swiped his finger across the screen, stopping at the photo of Yun Zheng lying on flower petals. "This one is my favorite."
"The comments are all praising your photography skills." Yun Zheng poked his arm. "Some people even want you to release a photography tutorial."
Fu Linghe chuckled, put his phone aside, and handed her the flower tea. "Have some tea first, then have something to eat."
He watched her sip softly, "Have you rested well?"
Yun Zheng nodded, and the warm floral tea slid down her throat, relieving her thirst after her nap.
"Yeah, I slept well." She put down the teacup and suddenly remembered something, "Oh, by the way, you said on Weibo that I was your rose..."
"What? Don't you like this metaphor?" Fu Linghe raised his eyebrows.
"No..." Yun Zheng's face flushed, "It's just... a little corny."
Fu Linghe suddenly leaned forward, his nose almost touching hers. "Mrs. Fu," he said in a low voice, "I have something even more disgusting to say."
After that, he quickly stole a kiss on her lips, then casually picked up a sandwich and handed it to her, "Eat it quickly, and we'll go out after that."
Yun Zheng took the sandwich, her heart still beating fast from the sudden kiss.
"Where are you going?" she asked curiously.
"It's a secret." Fu Linghe blinked mysteriously, "but you can guess."
Yun Zheng was thinking while biting a sandwich, and her eyes inadvertently swept over Fu Linghe's clothes.
He changed into a casual suit. The black fabric shone with a low-key luster in the sunset. He wore a simple white shirt underneath. He didn't wear a tie, and the collar was casually open, revealing his well-defined collarbone.
"You're dressed so formally," she guessed, tilting her head. "You've got a surprise for me."
Fu Linghe smiled but didn't answer. He just reached out and wiped the crumbs from the corner of her mouth. "I guess so."
He glanced at his watch. "We leave at six. You have more than an hour to get ready."
After a simple afternoon tea, Fu Linghe helped Yun Zheng open the wardrobe, revealing the dark red velvet dress he had prepared earlier.
"Wear this." He said, his fingers gently stroking the delicate dark patterns on the hem of the skirt.
Yun Zheng took out the long skirt in surprise and compared it to her body. "When did you prepare it? How come I didn't know there was this skirt in the suitcase?"
"Because I had it flown in from Country F yesterday."
Fu Linghe put his arms around her waist from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Do you like it?"
The dress has a buttery smooth feel and is a rich burgundy red with a subtle sheen that changes depending on the light.
Yun Zheng turned to look at Fu Linghe, her round almond-shaped eyes fixed on the man's eyes, "I like it very much."
Fu Linghe just smiled and kissed her forehead gently. "Go take a shower. I'll help you prepare other things."
When Yun Zheng came out of the bathroom, she found a full set of cosmetics and jewelry on the dressing table.
Fu Linghe stood aside, holding a hair dryer in his hand, and motioned her to sit down.
Yun Zheng was already used to her helping her blow-dry her hair, so she obediently walked over and sat in front of the dressing mirror.
Fu Linghe turned on the hair dryer and gently ran his fingers through her long hair.
Yun Zheng looked at the man's focused profile through the mirror, and a warm feeling surged in her heart.
After drying her hair, Fu Linghe carefully put on the red velvet dress for her as if it were a treasure.
"Turn around." He whispered, zipping up her back.
His fingers paused slightly when they touched her fair skin, then slowly moved upwards, brushing aside her half-dry long hair and placing a series of light kisses on the back of her neck.
Yun Zheng turned around in front of the mirror, and the hem of her skirt spread out and fell like petals.
Fu Linghe stood behind her, his eyes blazing as he gazed at his reflection in the mirror. "Perfect."
He commented in a low voice, taking out a diamond necklace from his jewelry box and putting it on her. "That's all I need."
The moment the cold diamond touched her collarbone, Yun Zheng took a breath at the icy touch, and the main diamond in the center reflected a dazzling light under the light.
"Is today a special day?" she couldn't help asking, "Why is it so..."
Fu Linghe did not answer directly, but took her hand and gently kissed her fingertips, "It's time, we should set off."
Yun Zheng knew that no matter how much she asked, she would not get an answer, so she had no choice but to follow him out of the bedroom.
The corridor of the villa was already shrouded in dusk. The housekeeper was waiting at the stairs and announced that the car was ready.
When Fu Linghe opened the car door for her, Yun Zheng noticed a bouquet of fresh red roses on the back seat, which came from the same sea of flowers as the one pinned behind her ear.
"For you." Fu Linghe said simply, helping her to straighten her skirt before closing the car door.
The car slowly drove out of the villa and drove along the coastline.
Yun Zheng looked at the gradually darkening sea outside the window, her heart beating faster as she moved towards the unknown destination.
She glanced quietly at Fu Linghe beside her and found that he was staring at her, his eyes filled with emotions she could not understand.
"What's wrong?" she asked softly.
Fu Linghe just shook his head and held her hand. "It's nothing. I'm so beautiful."
