Chapter 441 The Princess and Her Knight

Chapter 441 The Princess and Her Knight

In the dim morning light, Yun Zheng was awakened by a gentle touch.

Fu Linghe's fingertips were slowly moving along her spine, as if playing a secret melody that only they understood.

She turned over in a daze and bumped into his smiling eyes.

"Good morning, Mrs. Fu." His voice was hoarse from the morning, and he lowered his head to peck her nose. "There's a surprise today."

Yun Zheng rubbed her eyes and found an exquisite shell box on the bedside table.

She opened it curiously, and inside was a pair of pearl hairpins. The white pearls were surrounded by tiny diamonds, emitting a soft halo in the morning light.

"What is this?" She picked up the hairpin carefully, and the pearls felt warm to the touch.

"It's a set with your ring." Fu Linghe took the hairpin and gently pinned it on the loose hair behind her ear.

Yun Zheng's eyes were hot.

He always thinks about every detail.

She reached out to touch the hairpin, her fingertips touching the stubble he hadn't had time to shave. "When did you prepare these?"

Fu Linghe grabbed her fingers and bit them gently. "It doesn't matter. What matters is that you like it."

He threw back the covers and got out of bed, his back muscles stretching in the sun. "Wear that white linen skirt. I'll wait for you downstairs."

When Yun Zheng finished dressing and went downstairs, the villa was quiet.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, Fu Linghe was standing next to a pure white horse, and the sunlight gave him a golden edge.

He wore a simple white shirt and beige breeches, yet he was more dazzling than any other prince.

"Are we going horseback riding?" Yun Zheng ran out of the villa barefoot, and the sea breeze lifted her skirt.

Fu Linghe reached out to catch her, "Today is Mrs. Fu's exclusive knight."

Yun Zheng looked at the white horse in front of her, her eyes sparkling.

The white horse lowered its head meekly, and she carefully stroked its silky mane. "What's its name?"

"Lucky." Fu Linghe supported her waist and helped her onto the horse. "I chose it especially for you."

The saddle was covered with a soft sheepskin pad and carefully decorated with pearls that matched her hairpin.

Fu Linghe jumped onto the horse nimbly and put his arms around her to his chest.

As he gently squeezed the horse's belly, Lucky walked towards the beach with an elegant step.

"Hold on tight." Fu Linghe whispered in her ear and suddenly urged the horse to trot.

Yun Zheng screamed and leaned back, her back pressed against his chest.

The sea breeze blew in my face, bringing with it a salty and humid scent, and the horse's hooves made a dull sound as they stepped on the soft sand.

"Are you scared?" Fu Linghe tightened the reins and let Xingyue take a walk.

Yun Zheng shook her head, her hair brushing against his chin. "With you here, I'm not afraid of anything."

They walked along the coastline for a long time and finally stopped at a secluded cove.

The reefs surrounded an area of calm water, and a picnic mat had been laid out on the beach at some point, with chilled champagne and a box of exquisite snacks placed next to it.

"When did you prepare this?" Yun Zheng turned around in surprise, but was carried off the horse by Fu Linghe.

"We have help." He smiled and pointed to the palm trees not far away. Two teenagers dressed as islanders were shyly waving away.

Fu Linghe took out a tightly wrapped box from his saddle bag and said, "Try this."

Inside the box is a small shell-shaped cake, covered with edible pearl sugar grains.

Yun Zheng carefully cut off a piece, and the cream melted on the tip of her tongue, with a faint coconut aroma.

"You did it?" She looked at him in disbelief.

Fu Linghe nodded, his ears slightly red. "I learned it from the hotel chef last night after you fell asleep."

He wiped the cream from the corner of her mouth. "How does it taste?"

Yun Zheng didn't answer, but kissed him directly, letting him taste the sweetness between his lips.

The kiss gradually deepened until Lucky snorted impatiently and broke away.

In the afternoon, they lay in hammocks under the shade of palm trees.

Yun Zheng rested her head on Fu Linghe's arm, her fingertips rubbing circles on his chest. "Tomorrow is the fifth day."

"Yeah." Fu Linghe closed his eyes, his other hand stroking her long hair from time to time, "Are you missing the children again?"

Yun Zheng nodded slightly.

The longer I was away from home, the more I missed my twins.

Fu Linghe suddenly turned over and pressed her down on the hammock, nuzzling her nose. "There's a surprise tonight."

"What surprise?"

"It's not a surprise anymore now that I tell you." He dodged her pounding hand with a wicked smile. "Get some sleep. You'll need the energy for the night."

As the sun set, Fu Linghe returned to the villa with Yun Zheng.

There was a large gift box on the bed in the bedroom, and inside it was a gradient blue silk long skirt with tiny pearls embroidered on the hem, which would rise and fall like waves when walking.

"Put it on." Fu Linghe kissed her forehead. "I'll pick you up at seven."

When the clock pointed to seven o'clock, Yun Zheng heard the sound of piano coming from downstairs.

She followed the music to the garden, and the sight before her took her breath away: a white grand piano placed on the beach, dotted around it with hundreds of small lights, like fallen stars.

Fu Linghe sat on the piano stool, his slender fingers dancing between the black and white keys. The song he played was something he had never heard before, but it was cheerful and lively, which made people feel very comfortable.

Seeing her approaching, Fu Linghe did not stop playing, but just gestured for her to sit next to him with his eyes.

Yun Zheng sat down gently. The piano stool was not big, so she had to sit close to him.

The sea breeze carries the melody of the piano, and the notes and waves break together on the shore.

The last note faded into the night, and Fu Linghe turned to her. "Is this song nice?"

Yun Zheng nodded slightly. "It sounds nice, but why have I never heard it before?"

"Of course I haven't heard it. This is your husband's original work, and it will be premiered tonight." Fu Linghe raised his eyebrows, with pride in his tone.

Yun Zheng's heart skipped a beat, and there was a hint of surprise in her eyes.

He can even compose music. How versatile is he?

Fu Linghe took out a leather photo album from under the piano stool. The gold-embossed "To My Pearl" on the cover gleamed in the moonlight.

"Open it and take a look." His voice was a little hoarse.

Each page records the important moments of their love, until the last page, which is an underwater photo of the proposal on the seabed yesterday. Next to the photo is the design sketch of the pearl ring.

"Why is the last page blank?" Yun Zheng stroked the blank photo paper.

Fu Linghe closed the album, "Leave it to us in the future."

He held her face in his hands. "Pearls take time to grow, and so does our story."

As the night deepened, Fu Linghe lit a bonfire next to the piano.

The firelight illuminated Yun Zheng's profile, and the pearl hairpin was faintly visible in her hair.

Fu Linghe took her hand and kissed it, his expression extremely serious. "Yun Zheng, will you be my wife? Not out of responsibility or commitment, but because every day when I wake up, I love you more than the day before."

The sea breeze suddenly stopped, as if the whole world was waiting for her answer.

Yun Zheng leaned over and kissed him, "I am willing, a thousand times, ten thousand times."

Fu Linghe stood up and picked her up by the waist.

The piano sounded again, this time it was the hotel musician playing in the distance.

They spun under the starlight, their skirts sweeping across the fine sand, and their pearls shimmering gently in the moonlight.

"Are you tired?" After a few dances, Fu Linghe noticed that she was slowing down.

Yun Zheng shook her head, but couldn't help yawning.

Fu Linghe chuckled, picked her up and carried her sideways, walking towards the villa.

Yun Zheng leaned on his shoulder, watching the piano and the small lamp gradually move away. "How much effort did you put into this today?"

"Not much." Fu Linghe kissed the top of her head, "Just enough for you to remember this day."

Back in the bedroom, Fu Linghe prepared the bath water for her, with fresh flower petals floating on the surface of the water.

Yun Zheng soaked in the warm water, looked at the pearl ring on her ring finger, and gently curled her lips.

The bathroom door was pushed open, and Fu Linghe walked in with a bath towel. "Don't soak for too long. You'll feel dizzy if you do."

He bent down and pulled her out of the water. "Mrs. Fu, it's time to rest."

The sheets were fresh and smelled of sunshine and sea breeze.

Fu Linghe hugged her from behind, his palms resting on her belly. "If you miss the children, we can video chat tomorrow."

Yun Zheng turned around and buried herself in his arms, greedily breathing in his unique scent.
