Chapter 369 Discharged from the Hospital
Fu Linghe did not give a clear answer whether it was yes or no, but just raised his eyebrows.
This ambiguous attitude made Yun Zheng even more certain that she had done it!
Her small hands tightly grasped the edge of the bath towel, her knuckles turning white, and her voice trembled a little. "I... I was just talking nonsense, didn't I do anything excessive?"
Fu Linghe slowly picked up another bath towel and wiped his silver hair. Drops of water slid down his jawline and dripped into the depression of his collarbone.
He paused for a few seconds, looking at Yun Zheng's nervous expression, almost suffocating, before he slowly spoke, "You still said..."
"What did you say?" Yun Zheng was so anxious that she tried to pull his arm, and the towel almost slipped off, but she caught it in a panic.
Fu Linghe suddenly leaned over, and his wet silver hair fell on her shoulders, carrying the fragrance of jasmine shampoo.
He paused, then gently rubbed her red earlobe with his fingertips. "Girls should be like you, and boys should be like me."
Yun Zheng froze in place as if struck by lightning, even her breathing stopped.
How much alcohol did she drink last night? How could she say such a thing!
Drinking really does cause trouble!
The first time she got drunk, she slept with Fu Linghe and was forced to take responsibility for him and get a marriage certificate with him!
The second time she got drunk, she pounced on Fu Linghe again! !
This was the third time she got drunk in front of him and actually shouted that she wanted to have a baby for him!!!
Oh my God, who can come and save her!
"I was kidding." Fu Linghe suddenly laughed out loud and flicked her smooth forehead with his finger. "You fell asleep after drinking half a cup last night. You were very good. I carried you back to the hotel and you fell asleep straight away."
Yun Zheng was stunned for two seconds, then rushed over and punched him in anger, "Fu Linghe! You..."
"Okay, stop making trouble. Breakfast is getting cold." Fu Linghe suddenly picked her up sideways, and the water droplets on her wet hair flew out in an arc. "Change your clothes first."
In the bedroom, Fu Linghe took the clothes that had just been delivered that morning from the hanger.
When Yun Zheng took it, her fingertips accidentally touched the back of his hand, and they both shrank back as if they had been electrocuted.
"Turn around." Yun Zheng ordered with a red face.
Fu Linghe raised an eyebrow, but instead of turning around, he sat down on the edge of the bed, resting his chin on his hand calmly. "Where in the world of Mrs. Fu have I not seen?"
"You..." Yun Zheng was so angry that she grabbed the pillow and threw it at him, but he caught it steadily.
Amidst the commotion, the phone on the bedside table suddenly vibrated.
Yun Zheng glanced at the three words "Mo Shi'an" on the screen and paused.
Fu Linghe's eyes suddenly turned cold and he directly pressed the reject button.
He stood up and drew aside the curtains. Sunlight streamed in, gilding his silver hair. "What urgent matter could he have? Just have breakfast first. Even if he has, it won't hurt to wait a moment."
Yun Zheng tied her skirt and walked behind him barefoot on the cashmere carpet.
The sunlight filtered through the gauze curtains, casting mottled shadows on them. She put her arms around his waist, resting her cheek against his back. "Are you jealous of my brother again?"
Fu Linghe didn't answer, but turned around and hugged her in his arms.
When he lowered his head, his silver hair fell, covering the emotions surging in his eyes. He still said stubbornly, "I didn't."
Breakfast is served on the terrace of the hotel suite, with sunlight filtering through the white gauze curtains onto the exquisite meal.
Yun Zheng sipped the warm milk, but from time to time her eyes glanced at Fu Linghe who was sitting opposite her.
His slender fingers were gracefully cutting the fried eggs on the plate, and his silver hair shone softly in the morning light.
"Have you seen enough?" Fu Linghe asked without raising his head, but the corners of his mouth rose slightly.
Yun Zheng's face flushed, and she lowered her head to poke at the fruit on the plate. "Who's looking at you? I'm thinking about something."
"What are you thinking about?" Fu Linghe put down his knife and fork, his silver-gray eyes staring straight at her. "Are you thinking about how you behaved towards me last night?"
"Fu Linghe!" Yun Zheng grabbed the napkin and threw it over, but he caught it easily. She glared at him with a red face, "Can you be more serious!"
Fu Linghe chuckled, reached across the table and pinched her cheek, "It's so fun to tease you."
Just as the two were playing, there was a hurried knock on the door.
Fu Linghe frowned and reluctantly got up to open the door.
Mo Shian stood outside the door with an anxious look on his face. He was wearing a dark blue suit and there were beads of sweat on his forehead.
"Zheng Zheng!" Mo Shi'an spotted Yun Zheng at the dining table and rushed in, bypassing Fu Linghe. "You're drinking right after you recover from your illness? Do you know how worried I was?"
Yun Zheng stood up awkwardly, "I'm fine."
"Are you okay?" Mo Shi'an looked her up and down. "Do you know how much damage alcohol can do to a body that has just recovered?"
Fu Linghe snorted coldly and stood in front of Yun Zheng. "She can drink if she wants. What's it to you?"
His inky black eyes stared coldly at Mo Shian, "Besides, whether she recognizes you as her brother is another matter."
As soon as these words were spoken, the air froze instantly.
Yun Zheng quickly tugged at Fu Linghe's sleeve and whispered, "Okay, stop talking nonsense."
After coaxing her man, Yun Zheng turned to Mo Shian and explained softly, "I haven't had it in a long time. I just wanted to try it. I didn't drink much. Mo... do you have something to talk to me about?"
Mo Shian took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. "I went to the S VIP ward this morning to deliver breakfast, but you weren't there. I called, but no one answered."
He looked at Yun Zheng worriedly, "Mom was discharged from the hospital today and has been looking for you since early morning."
Yun Zheng's eyes lit up, "Mom can be discharged from the hospital today?"
Mo Shian nodded slightly.
She turned to Fu Linghe. "We have to go to the hospital."
Fu Linghe nodded reluctantly and turned to go to the master bedroom to get his coat.
Mo Shi'an looked at Yun Zheng, wanting to say something but stopping himself. In the end, he just sighed and said, "Drink less alcohol in the future. It's not good for your health."
Fu Linghe came back with his coat and just heard this. He immediately hugged Yun Zheng in his arms and said, "My wife, I will take good care of her."
He emphasized the word "my".
Yun Zheng pushed him, feeling both amused and helpless. "Alright, let's go to the hospital quickly. Don't keep Mom waiting any longer."
The three of them went to the hospital together, and the atmosphere was tense.
Mo Shi'an walked in front, while Fu Linghe held Yun Zheng's hand tightly, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb from time to time, as if silently declaring his sovereignty.
In the hospital's VIP ward, Mo Chenfeng had already packed his luggage, and Ning Zhi was sitting by the bed waiting.
Seeing the three people come in, she immediately stood up with a gentle smile on her face, "Zheng Zheng, you are here."
"Mom!" Yun Zheng walked over quickly and hugged her gently. "Congratulations on being discharged from the hospital."
Ning Zhi caressed Yun Zheng's hair lovingly, "Where did you go so early in the morning? Your brother couldn't find you."
"The air was good in the morning, so we went out for a walk." Yun Zheng lied inconspicuously, and pinched Fu Linghe's palm with her fingers, signaling him not to expose her.
She turned to Mo Chenfeng, who was beside the bed, and called out sweetly, "Dad."
Mo Chenfeng's serious expression softened instantly. "Remember to bring your phone with you next time you go out. Your mom was so worried that she didn't even have a good breakfast."
Fu Linghe stood behind Yun Zheng, his silver hair glowing softly in the sunlight shining through the window.
His slender fingers naturally rested on Yun Zheng's shoulders, his thumb unconsciously stroking her collarbone. "It was my negligence. I forgot to charge her phone."
Mo Shian stood on the other side of the ward, his eyes lingering on Fu Linghe's hand for a moment.
He turned his back to the crowd, his voice calm but filled with concern that couldn't be ignored. "The doctor said Mom needs to rest for two weeks after she's discharged from the hospital and shouldn't be exposed to any stress."
"I know." Yun Zheng walked quickly to the bedside and helped Ning Zhi put the last pile of clothes into her handbag. "I will spend more time with Mom."
Fu Linghe frowned slightly, and his silver-gray eyes narrowed slightly.
He walked over to Yun Zheng and casually tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Our home is only a 20-minute drive from the Mo family's old house. You can go back more often."
"If you ask me," Mo Chenfeng suddenly said, his sharp eyes sweeping between Fu Linghe and Mo Shi'an, "you two should just move back to the old house for a while. Zheng Zheng just got back, and her mother wants to see her more."
He paused and added meaningfully, "There are plenty of empty rooms at home anyway."
The air in the ward froze instantly. Mo Shi'an paused as he sorted through the documents. Fu Linghe's mouth tightened into a straight line. Only Yun Zheng nodded obliviously, "Okay, I..."
"No." Fu Linghe interrupted her, his voice a few degrees lower than usual, "I can't get used to living in someone else's house..."
Mo Shian chuckled, closed the file, and turned around, "Mr. Fu, our Mo family's old house is no worse than your Fu family's!"
"Shi'an." Ning Zhi called Mo Shi'an's name gently but firmly, and shook her head.
She walked over to Yun Zheng and held her daughter's hand. "Don't listen to your father. You newlyweds need your own space."
She patted the back of Yun Zheng's hand lovingly and said, "When you have time, just go home more often to visit me."
Yun Zheng glanced at Ning Zhi gratefully and changed the subject, "Mom, have you completed all the discharge procedures?"
"Your brother has taken care of everything." Ning Zhi looked at Mo Shian with a smile.
Fu Linghe snorted lightly and walked to the window, pretending to look at the scenery.
The sunlight outlined his tall figure, and his silver hair was almost transparent in the light.
Yun Zheng couldn't help but look at him twice more, and Mo Shi'an caught her gaze, and a helpless smile appeared on the corner of her mouth.
"Let's go," Mo Chenfeng picked up the luggage, "The car is waiting downstairs."
When going downstairs, Fu Linghe deliberately slowed down and stayed last.
He reached out and grabbed Yun Zheng, and while no one else was paying attention, he lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "You must return to our home tonight."
The warm breath brushed against Yun Zheng's earlobe, and the tip of her ear turned red instantly.
She pinched his arm lightly and whispered back, "Don't make trouble, everyone is watching."
Mo Shian, who was walking in front, seemed to sense something and looked back.
Fu Linghe held Yun Zheng's hand tighter provocatively, interlocked his fingers and raised them to his chest, silently declaring his sovereignty.
At the hospital entrance, the Mo family's stretch limousine had been waiting for a long time.
Mo Chenfeng considerately helped Ning Zhi get into the car first, while Mo Shian stood by the door waiting for Yun Zheng.
"Zheng Zheng, let's sit in the back. I have something to tell you." Mo Shi'an said gently, but his eyes drifted towards Fu Linghe.
Fu Linghe sneered, "Is there anything my wife can't hear in front of me?"
Yun Zheng was sandwiched between two men, her temples throbbing.
She took a deep breath and let go of Fu Linghe's hand. "My brother and I will sit in the back, and you can sit in the passenger seat."
Seeing Fu Linghe about to object, she quickly added, "It just so happens that I have something to ask him."
Fu Linghe's eyes darkened, but in the end he just gently pinched her fingertips, turned around, opened the front door and sat inside.
The movements were clean and neat, but with obvious displeasure.
