The Qi Refining Stage of a Spiritual Beast is equivalent to the Qi Condensation Stage of a Cultivator, and Spiritual Beasts have natural advantages, being several levels stronger than cultivators of the same period. In other words, if a cultivator's cultivation is at the fifth level of Qi Condensation and he faces a Spiritual Beast at the fifth level of Qi Refining, it is equivalent to facing a cultivator at the seventh level of Qi Condensation, perhaps even stronger.
