After politely declining Lake's offer to talk, Cheng Huaijin went home alone.
It wasn't that she lacked compassion, but she didn't want to be some kind of confidante, much less get involved in any messy affairs. Especially since the person involved had previously provoked her and spoken rudely to her, she really didn't have a good impression of Rick.

After students registered at Yaotian Junior High School, the school sent pet animals to deliver the necessary items to their homes.
Cheng Huaijin opened a package containing two sets each of summer and autumn school uniforms, as well as a set of sportswear. The overall design of Yaotian Middle School's uniforms is the same: summer uniforms consist of short sleeves and long pants/skirts, while autumn uniforms consist of a top, long pants, and a jacket.
The primary, junior high, and senior high schools are distinguished only by color. The junior high school uses dark blue.
Grades are divided by name tags: first grade has one dark blue horizontal bar, second grade has two bars, and third grade has three bars.
September was already late autumn, but the weather was still a bit warm. Cheng Huaijin first picked out two sets of summer school uniforms to try on. One was a white short-sleeved shirt with a stand-up collar and dark blue buttons, matching the dark blue long skirt. The long skirt was a pleated style, reaching below the knee, with a belt at the waist, featuring a hollowed-out phoenix pattern in the center.
Cheng Huaijin checked the list of items issued by the school and found the section for school uniforms.
"Welcome to Yaotian Junior High School. To help you better adapt to school life and study, we have prepared the following list of items for you (items one through three have been delivered to your homes, please sign for them in time).
Please read the list carefully and prepare the required items accordingly.
First item: school uniform
Two sets of summer school uniforms, each set including one short-sleeved shirt and one pair of trousers/skirt.
Two sets of autumn school uniforms, each set including a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of trousers, and a jacket.

The second accessory
Cheng Huaijin didn't see that there were accessories in the package. She rummaged around and finally pulled out a small package from behind the black egg beast. Inside was a school badge, a name tag, and a tie.
She then checked the item list.

Each student has a name tag printed with their name, class, and position, and the name tag is changed annually.

Cheng Huaijin took out the round badge. It was a dark blue badge with a soaring phoenix in the center. The phoenix was the logo of Yaotian Education Group; this legendary bird-like creature symbolized glory, power, and rebirth.

She waved the badge in front of the Black Egg Beast, which chuckled twice, clearly uninterested.
Black Egg Beast said this thing is inedible and not fun.
Cheng Huaijin patted its eggshell affectionately, put the badge away, and then looked at the nameplate.
"Cheng Huaijin, Class 1, Grade 1." She read out the name on the nameplate and then gave it a big kiss.
Cheng Huaijin! You can finally go to school! You don't have to sneak around learning about beast taming anymore!!
Cheng Huaijin checked the school uniform and accessories and found nothing wrong. Then he checked the textbooks against the item list.
There are ten courses to study in junior high school: "History of Beast Taming", "Beast Data Science", "Practice of Beast Taming Skills", "Beast Language and Communication", "Theory of Beast Taming", "Beast Ecology and Protection", "Combat Strategy and Command", "Herbal Medicine and Beast Health", "Beast Breeding", and "Beast Awakening and Evolution".
Cheng Huaijin opened a cardboard box labeled "Handle with care for valuables," took out a thick notebook, and opened the cover to find a simulated electronic display screen inside.
