"Damn it! Who said this stupid lion could win! F*** it!"
A tall man wearing a red mask, with tattoos of a fire lion on his bare arms, shouted, "Rise, fire lion! Fire breath attack! Damn it! Get up!"
The Flame Lion staggered to its feet, thick blood dripping from the corner of its mouth.
"Oh my god! Look!" someone exclaimed.
An excited voice came from the stands: "Friends! Director, please focus the camera on the Flame Lion! We can see something round under the Flame Lion's feet! That's right! That's the Echinoderm's eyeball!"
"Spine..." The spiny crocodile's face was already a bloody mess, and its beastmaster roared in exasperation, "Useless thing! Attack! We'll take this stupid lion with us even if we die!!"
The spiny crocodile, barely opening its other eye, charged toward the fire lion.
"Tail attack!" Its beast tamer was a neurotic middle-aged man with dirty metal-framed glasses hanging on his ears. The lenses were cracked and were even held together with tape to prevent them from falling off.
The spiny crocodile used all its strength to strike forward.
Unable to dodge due to its injured leg, the Flame Lion could only obey its Beastmaster's orders and unleash its full fire-breathing attack.
The flames were about to be extinguished when they were struck by the tail, but then the fire element seemed to find a gap under the crocodile's tough exterior and burrowed into its flesh, burning.
"Thorn!!!" A piercing, shrill scream rang out. The middle-aged man roared madly, "Ah!!! How could this happen!! To hell with it!! Die!!"
Song Siyun took a deep breath and stood in the waiting area.
Once the blood was wiped clean and the bodies were disposed of, the battlefield was as clean as if nothing had ever happened.
But the lingering fishy smell in the air, Song Siyun thought, she would never forget.
"Flower Shadow Beast," Song Siyun said, "This is the last time, the last time, okay?"
The Flower Shadow Beast drank the energy booster, nestled in her arms, and looked at her without making a sound.
