Chapter 8 Pet Training Hall

Cheng Huaijin packed his luggage and took a bus to the commercial street to look for a job.

She set her criteria: famous, legitimate, wealthy, related to beast taming, and suitable for minors to work. She ultimately settled on Tyrant Beast Training Center. Judging by its size, it was the largest beast training center on the entire commercial street.

When talking about pet training halls, we must mention the pet summoning system for beast tamers.

In principle, a Beastmaster can contract an unlimited number of pets based on their internal energy levels. For example, Level 1 allows for 2 pets, Level 2 for 3, Level 3 for 4, and Level 4 for 5. Contracting more than 5 pets qualifies a Beastmaster as Level 5, and there is no upper limit to the number of pets a Beastmaster can contract. Of course, this is all predicated on the Beastmaster having sufficient energy.

There have been instances where beast tamers forcibly contracted with an excessive number of pets, resulting in the beast tamer's energy being depleted, and the beast tamer being contracted by the pet instead, becoming the pet's "pet," which is a disgrace to a beast tamer.

Although theoretically a Beast Tamer can contract many, many pets, in reality, a Beast Tamer's body cannot hold too many pets at the same time in their Beast Taming Space. Therefore, for the safety of Beast Tamers, the Beast Tamer Alliance stipulates that a Beast Tamer can only carry a maximum of 5 pets and can openly contract a maximum of 5 pets. As for how many pets they actually own, no one cares. After these rules are standardized, people can judge the number and attributes of the pets carried by a Beast Tamer based on the mark on their right arm.

The remaining pets that cannot be carried can be boarded at pet centers, pet training halls, or trained in the wild.

As a result, the pet training center industry has boomed. With the development of the industry, pet training centers have gradually evolved from pet boarding facilities into comprehensive pet breeding institutions that integrate pet boarding, grooming, skills training, and training.

Some top-tier pet training centers can even train wild animals into obedient companions for customers to choose and contract. (The Pet Protection Association strongly condemns this!)

The Overlord Pet Training Center, where Cheng Huaijin was about to have his interview, was the most famous pet training center in Dongcheng, bar none.

Cheng Huaijin summoned the Flower Egg, touched its colorful shell, and cheered himself up: "Grass Sprite Egg, bless me so I can pass the interview. When I make a lot of money, I'll buy you nutrient solution, the biggest flowerpot, and the best soil. I'll definitely grow you!"

The flower-shaped egg tilted slightly in Cheng Huaijin's hand. Cheng Huaijin assumed it was due to his large movements and didn't notice the egg gently shaking.

Cheng Huaijin took the bus to the Tyrant Pet Training Center, held up his phone and said to the receptionist, "Hello, I'm here for an interview."

The young woman looked Cheng Huaijin up and down and said, "Little sister, we only recruit part-time beast tamers."

Cheng Huaijin nodded: "Yes, I have awakened my beast taming talent."

The young woman seemed a little surprised: "But you look very young."

Cheng Huaijin didn't want to say anything more in the lobby: "I've submitted my resume, can I come in and talk?"

The young woman nodded: "Come with me."

Cheng Huaijin looked at the people queuing in the hall: "Then what about them..."

The young lady snapped her fingers, and a white figure appeared at the front desk like the wind.

"Duck!"

A white-furred duck-like creature appeared before the crowd, pointing to the camera in front of it and indicating that people in line should scan their faces to enter the training hall.

DuckBeast is a super-powered pet with high intelligence. It is one of the pets most adaptable to human society. Its intelligence level can be judged by its fur color; the lighter the color, the smarter it is.

At first glance, Cheng Huaijin felt that this duck-like creature must be extremely intelligent.

The young lady waved her hand with a particularly generous air: "Come with me!"

Cheng Huaijin's gaze shifted to the young lady, and he was suddenly struck by her beauty.

The young lady was sitting at the front desk when I didn't see her clothes. Now that she's standing up, her tall figure looks especially elegant and beautiful. But that outfit covered in studs... a light gray suit with bronze studs... it looks really cool, but I wonder... if it's prickly on her butt.

The young woman opened a door labeled "Boss's Office" and said to Cheng Huaijin, "Come in." Seeing Cheng Huaijin's expression, she smiled and said, "My clothes don't irritate my butt; I'm used to them."

...Can this person read minds? Or is it just that I can't hide my expression on my face?!

Cheng Huaijin scratched his head sheepishly: "Excuse me, are you the boss?"

Only when he stood up did Cheng Huaijin realize that this pretty young lady was actually a man.

The handsome man sat down in the boss's chair and gestured for Cheng Huaijin not to be shy and to sit down as well: "Yes, my name is Li Cai, and I am the owner of the Tyrant Pet Training Center."

Cheng Huaijin: The boss's name sounds like he's rich.

"Hello, Mr. Li." Cheng Huaijin took out his prepared resume. "I am Cheng Huaijin, who submitted my resume online before. This is my resume. I didn't expect that you would personally interview me."

Li Cai took the resume: "Our receptionist is DuckBeast; I just covered for him. When you arrive, you'll find that our training center has far more pet staff than human staff. What are your thoughts on that?"

Cheng Huaijin knew that her boss was interviewing her, but she didn't expect the interview questions to be anything like "How far do you live?", "How long can you work here?", or "What abilities do you have to do this job?"... Instead, he threw her this question that was comparable to a graduation thesis—

Will the increase in pet employees reduce the survival opportunities of human employees? Will pets replace humans?

Oh my god!
