Chapter 59 [Believers]

The emblem's deep yellow with a hint of gold makes the halo seem to actually glow.

Looking at that thing, several people felt an indescribable sense of shock in their hearts.

They knew it must have been left by that man and his accomplices, but what was the point of doing this?

Demonstration?

Intimidation?

Or is it - a declaration?

The young captain frowned, feeling that things were not that simple.

He glanced around, at the secret laboratory in the long-abandoned basement, the black residue of unidentifiable composition on the ground, the strange collective coma, all kinds of tattered clothes, and... opponents who had no intention of killing.

Today may not be a simple case of super powers.

"The investigation team can be brought in now."

The team leader said somewhat dejectedly:

"Don't forget to hand in today's review when you go back."

“Why is this thing golden?”

The red-haired man suddenly asked.

Some socially anxious stalkers pointed to the corner of the laboratory:

"It should have been painted with that bottle of iodine disinfectant..."

---

"Hahaha......"

The panting sounds from exhaustion echoed in the dark secret passage.

Wang Xiao and Zhuang Mian have both undergone professional physical training, so naturally there will be no problem in this regard.

But El, who was malnourished for a period of time, and Ji Yongxing, who had no professional background, could not withstand such strenuous exercise.

The two had already been chased all over the ground by the meatball in the previous battle, and now they wished they could turn their lungs inside out and pour cold water on them to cool down.

The straight-line distance between the laboratory underground passage and the Fourth Commercial Street in the inner city is nearly two kilometers.

Of course, the secret passage could not extend that long. After only a few hundred meters, the four people emerged from a thicket of weeds.

The exit is near a suspended construction site. Although it is in the inner city area where every inch of land is valuable, there are not many pedestrians around.

A few people walked out of the secret passage and pretended nothing had happened, walking quickly towards the commercial street, as if they were a few unlucky guys who were about to be late for work.

After a few minutes, the four of them finally stood under the sign of the Fourth Commercial Street.

“Is there really a response?”

El asked as he looked at the inner city scenery he had never seen before.

Before anyone else could respond, a car stopped in front of them.

The car window rolled down, revealing a kind smiling face:

"Hey, you're all here, get in the car!"

Seeing that the person coming was their old acquaintance Dr. Lin, they all breathed a sigh of relief, closed the car door, and drove towards the eastern part of the outer city.

Although he was able to fully control all his muscles, Lin Qingliu still inevitably seemed a little unfamiliar when driving.

All of this was seen by Ji Yongxing who was sitting in the passenger seat.

As for why the little genius was sitting in the passenger seat?

Because he was the only one who was most familiar with the roads in the inner city.

"Doctor Lin, do you have a driver's license?"

"have."

Lin Qingliu confidently took out a small notebook from his arms and handed it to Ji Yongxing in the passenger seat.

The boy took it, opened it, and read out:

"Pierre, male, 40 years old... this this this..."

He looked at Lin Qingliu who was concentrating on driving in the driver's seat:

"Doctor, this isn't your driver's license either."

"Just tell me whether you have it or not."

"...Is this car yours?"

"What do you think?"

"Excuse me, Pierre..."

Before he could finish his words, a dull thud and a cry of pain from a human were suddenly heard from the trunk of a car.

Ji Yongxing swallowed the half-spoken words "Are you still alive?" and marveled at the decisiveness of the psychologist.

"Don't worry, I'll pay for it."

Lin Qingliu didn't pay much attention to it. It was his first time driving a car and he was trying to overtake the car in front of him.

After driving for an hour and a half, the car finally stopped at an intersection in the eastern part of the outer city.

After several people got off the car, Lin Qingliu paid the car rental fee for the unlucky Pierre, and then led everyone to his own psychological clinic.

Except for Lin Qingliu himself and El, no one else present had been here more than three times.

Thinking of the powerful power they had obtained and their neglect of visiting, they suddenly felt ashamed.

Taking out the key and opening the door, Lin Qingliu walked into the house while chatting.

Just as he turned on the light, a crisp and pleasant snap of fingers was heard. Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw the powerful and strange white-haired man sitting in Lin Qingliu's office.

He clapped his hands lightly and said in a somewhat satisfied tone:

"Yes, it's not too late."

Lin Qingliu looked at the other party and scratched his head:

"I didn't remember giving you the key here."

The white-haired man pointed to the window behind him:

"The quality is poor, it's time to change it."

Looking at the window that showed some signs of damage, several people always felt that the expression on Lin Qingliu's face was similar to Pierre ten minutes ago.

"Don't worry about the details. Anyway, this is our first official meeting, and I think some things should be made clear."

The man waved his hand, and the chairs in the first floor consulting room seemed to come alive, quickly and spontaneously gathering inside the room.

A few people did not dare to be negligent. They sat down obediently like children sitting in a row in kindergarten and began to listen to the speech of the "paperhanger".

“I’m sure you are all familiar with Dr. Lin. He is an evangelist, the eye of God, a witness of God’s revelation, and is responsible for spreading the Lord’s gospel.

“As for me, you only need to know that I am a paperhanger, the hand of God, responsible for cleaning and hiding some unclean things.
