Chapter 65 Domination

The forest shrouded in thick fog blocks out all means of human observation, and also blocks out most of the sunlight, causing the bottom of the entire forest to be constantly dimmed.

At night, the gaps between the trees will glow and release some fluorescent spores.

The strange beasts grew up in the forest like this. Hundreds of strange beasts born from green cocoons could only barely survive on the leftovers left by the blue cocoon strange beasts every day.

Of course, some green cocoon beasts tried to challenge the authority of those insects, but they just became an extra meal.

Despite this, the bodies of the strange beasts are still growing at an astonishing rate.

After only ten days, this group of strange beasts reached their standard mature size.

One day, all the strange beasts discovered a horrifying fact. After they drank the liquid in the nutrient pool that day, the entire nutrient pool surrounded by tree roots no longer seeped out new liquid, and the roots that were intertwined with each other began to slowly dry up and die.

At this time, the strange beasts were able to communicate in the most basic way through body movements and roars.

They had a brief exchange with each other and finally came to the conclusion:

We know nothing about this.

Fortunately, this panic did not last long. At night that day, the trees were no longer all lit up, but only part of them. The spores also showed a brighter path in the air.

The insect-like creatures that hatched from the blue cocoons have a certain light-moving nature, and are now crawling along the branches of trees or on the ground towards the front of the light band.

During this period, although the green cocoon beasts lived a good life with only one meal a dozen times hungry and one meal full, they finally chose to follow because of their deep admiration for the powerful individuals.

After walking in the forest for an unknown amount of time, the strange beasts came to a taller tree.

The diameter of this tree is tens of meters, and there are countless cocoons of various colors on it.

As for the original big tree, the strange beasts could at least vaguely see its crown when they raised their heads, but this tree was like a wall with no top visible, making the strange beasts feel fear from the bottom of their hearts.

But there was also a good thing. As they got closer, one strange beast after another discovered a nutrient pool that had not yet dried up. They had been hungry for several days and were almost losing their minds.

Especially those insect-like beasts, not only did they rush the fastest, they even pushed their peers around them.

But just as the first insect-like beast was about to jump into the nutrient pool to feast on the food, a sharp bird cry was heard above them.

The two-headed cat, left behind by the strange beasts, looked up at the sky and saw a huge figure circling in the thick fog.

Out of instinct, the two-headed cat chose to stop.

But its gaze towards the sky did not shift. At this moment, this lowest-level strange beast with two heads developed a feeling called envy.

It just doesn't know anything about it.

More strange beasts that seemed to have no ability to think chose to move forward.

There was a whistling sound of wind, but it was not the real sound of wind, but the sound of strange beasts flapping their wings in the thick fog.

Then, the whistling sound of the wind turned into a whistling sound, and the huge figure suddenly stopped circling and swooped down right above the nutrient pool.

As for the strange beast running in the front, its entire body had disappeared from the spot before its mouthparts even took the first sip of the nutrient solution.

“Plop.”

The head of the strange beast with its mouthparts extended fell into the nutrient pool, and the blue and green mixed blood began to spread in the nutrient pool in strands.

The flying monster that had already begun to rise was cutting the monsters with its beak as sharp as a knife, while using the eyes of another owl head to stare at the other "kinds" below.

Next to the nutrient pool below, all the strange beasts have become silent.

In the previous battle, the green cocoon beast could at least fight with the insects in the blue cocoon for a few rounds, but now, whether it was the fall that exceeded the reaction speed or the action of cutting off the opponent's head in one blow, they had completely surrendered.

These things of theirs cannot even be called opponents, they are simply courting death.

The eagle monster with three heads and two pairs of wings grabbed a branch of a big tree and began to enjoy his meal.

Next to the branch was an empty cocoon chamber, the membrane of which was a distinct purple color.

Its three heads looked very fair. The vulture head divided the food into three seemingly equal parts, the crane head with a long beak took one part, and the owl head took another part.

However, this owl's head, which could rotate more than 360 degrees including its neck, seemed to have no interest in the insect corpse in its mouth. It tilted its head and looked with interest at the trembling two-headed mouse hiding among the group of strange beasts below.

In the next few days, the strange beasts felt real hunger.

Unlike the previous times when they could occasionally get some leftovers or felt hungry while marching in a group, this time it was real, complete hunger.

The nutrient pool less than three meters in front of him added new torture to the hunger.

Whenever a strange beast couldn't bear it anymore and wanted to take a sip, a dive bomber in the sky would quickly take its life.

Also during these few days, thousands of strange beasts from other trees joined their ranks, but still none of them dared to offend the authority of the One in Heaven.

Finally, after the deaths of more than a dozen blue and green cocooned beasts, the purple cocooned beast in the sky seemed to have finally entered its adulthood.

Its size nearly doubled in a few days, and the hurricane it created during its flight was even able to overturn some smaller monsters.

Following an exceptionally long hover and a howl that lasted nearly an hour, the entire forest seemed to change.

The two-headed cat saw a shocking scene:

Even though it was daytime, the trees around him were releasing fluorescent spores.

Those spores were no longer bright colors that could guide the way, but instead appeared to be a constantly surging gray-black.

It subconsciously tried to avoid it, but its hair was inevitably stained with some of it.

Holding his breath also had no effect. The two-headed cat felt that he was gradually losing control of his body. Instead, it seemed that a supreme will connected to his brain and began to give him orders in his consciousness.

The strange beast subconsciously resisted this feeling, but was completely powerless.

The two-headed cat watched helplessly as all the strange beasts around it became the same as itself.

Finally, those insect-like beasts crawled under the large green cocoon beasts, then they turned their bodies over and stabbed the tips of their sharp limbs into the bodies of the green cocoon beasts.

After completing this step, the strange beasts all walked in the same direction like zombies who had lost their souls.
