Chapter 18 Percussion Therapy

Ji Yongxing walked into this psychological clinic with a very unconventional name as he wished. As he walked through the door, he noticed that the decoration here was mainly pure white, whether it was the ceiling or the floor or walls, giving people a gentle and bright feeling as a whole.

He nodded inwardly. Judging from the style alone, it was very consistent with the common configuration of a psychological clinic. It seemed that this doctor at least had a good professional foundation and was not one of those guys who studied for two days and then came out to fool people.

But that's all.

Ji Yongxing's thoughts were quickly shattered by the cruel reality. In the next half hour, he registered his information at the front desk and was then taken to the first clinic. He took several sets of psychological tests that had been passed down for who knows how many years, and then... nothing happened.

After mentally solving all the Sudoku puzzles in the newspapers that had been piled up for a week, Ji Yongxing could no longer bear the waste of time. He raised his head from the soft examination bed and looked at the young doctor sitting beside the bed, and asked seriously:

"When will our treatment begin? If you just want the two thousand information coins, you can leave now. The money will be used as my room fee for accommodation here. Just tell me to leave tomorrow morning."

Upon hearing this, Lin Qingliu put down the questionnaire report that was covering his face and said very gently:

"Treatment has already begun, Mr. Ji."

"What?"

Facing the other party's question, Lin Qingliu shook the questionnaire in his hand and said:

“You’re smart enough to avoid all the correct answers just to prove you’re sick.

“Thanks for your questionnaire, which gave me the opportunity to see the same standard depression test as the sample questions in the book.

"But this is meaningless, Mr. Ji. Before you tell me what is really bothering you, I can't provide you with any truly effective treatment, other than the current 'Sudoku therapy'."

Ji Yongxing straightened up a little more and asked in surprise:

“Is Sudoku considered a therapy?”

Forget it from now on. Lin Qingliu, expressionless, secretly complained.

"Yes, especially for people like you who are so smart that you can't sit still without thinking about something."

Lin Qingliu saw that the other party did not have a deep understanding of psychology, so he began to talk nonsense based on his half-baked knowledge.

Ji Yongxing, who was lying on the examination bed, seemed to be in a state of conflict between himself and himself. He stared at the ceiling and began to lose focus. After a few minutes, as if he had made up his mind, his eyes became clear again and he turned his head to look at Lin Qingliu, who was sitting on the side and was bored.

"I can tell you everything, but you need to abide by the rules and not tell anyone else."

Lin Qingliu nodded casually and said:

"I've always kept my mouth shut."

Ji Yongxing shook his head and took out a stamped document from the shoulder bag he was carrying. It even had a unique number on it.

This was an empty file he brought from the research institute. It was originally intended to be used to restrain the soldiers. In the end, one copy was left as a backup just in case, but he didn't expect it to be used in this kind of place.

"I'll tell you after you sign this confidentiality agreement."

Lin Qingliu was not frightened by the extremely serious atmosphere. After all, no matter how big the other party's secret was, could it be bigger than the secret of himself, a reserve god, a time traveler, and a dual-path super-powered person?

He pretended to think for a few seconds, then signed his name on it.

After both parties signed and confirmed, Ji Yongxing's expression was obviously much more relaxed. He looked at the psychologist in front of him who looked only a few years older than him, hesitated for a moment and said seriously:

"Don't be afraid of what I'm about to say."

Lin Qingliu crossed his hands and slowly placed them in front of him and said:

"I have received professional training and I am definitely not afraid."

"......"

"......"

Half an hour later, after hearing the whole story, Lin Qingliu fell into a brief thought.

"So, you want to commit suicide just because your stupid model predicts that the human race will be destroyed in twenty years?"

"I didn't really commit suicide, I just said that to scare you, but maybe there is a little bit..."

"So I always think that adolescents should communicate with others more. Look at how you've become so depressed."

Lin Qingliu did not hide the sound of his laughter, which attracted Ji Yongxing's slightly annoyed gaze.

"Even if you look at me like that, I'm going to keep talking."

Lin Qingliu continued nonchalantly:

"If everyone thought like you, humans would have been extinct long ago, and there would be no City of Hope."

Lin Qingliu pointed out the window and said:

"I can tell at a glance that you are from the inner city. I wonder how many times you have been out at your age?"

"three times."

Ji Yongxing answered truthfully.

"So what do you think of the outer city?"

Ji Yongxing fell silent, and after thinking for a while, he came up with the most appropriate adjective:

"boring."

It's not dirt, it's not chaos, it's not poverty, it's just pure boredom.

Lin Qingliu laughed when he heard this, and continued to ask:

"So what word do you think best describes the inner city?"

A minute later, Ji Yongxing gave his answer again:

"boring."

It's not about strict rules, high pressure and crowds, it's just plain boring.

"Yeah, it's boring, whether it's the inner city or the outer city."

Lin Qingliu spread his hands and said:

"Worthy people are selected to go to the inner city, and then burn out all their value in research institutes, factories or the army, and that's it.
