When Ying Shan heard Si Yan directly point out the truth, he immediately panicked.
Ying Chang remained relatively calm. He paused for a moment and said, "How could it be us? It was clearly this snake-beastman who stole our beautiful silk. Perhaps he gave it to some female."
Si Yan immediately smiled.
"In White Eagle City, he only knows one female, and that female is me."
"I originally liked this silk gauze, so Bai Feng helped me get it, but Wang Ta..." is my guardian beast...
Before Si Yan could finish speaking, She Wang grabbed her.
Si Yan turned around and met the cold-blooded snake-beastman who was almost a head taller than her.
"Delusion".
"Don't tell them so much."
As a disciple of the high priest, she took in a snake-beastman as her guardian beast.
With so many eagle-beastmen watching her, it wouldn't be good for her to reveal this now.
The little snake-orc chuckled coldly. He never imagined he'd come to this, worrying about his identity and how it might implicate others.
The snake-beastman looked down at her, and she looked up at him, her eyes slightly curved and very bright.
Are you worried about me?
The little snake-beastman blinked.
Ying Chang is reckless and doesn't care anymore. Things have come to this point, and he just wants to throw caution to the wind. This matter must be pinned on She Wang!
"Little snake cub, just admit it already. The sooner you admit it, the less trouble we'll have, right?"
The cold-blooded serpent beastman shot out with his icy gaze.
This was the first time Ying Chang had seen such a murderous look in the eyes of a snake-beastman cub.
"Yingchang, what's wrong?" Yingshan asked anxiously.
Ying Chang snapped out of his daze and shook his head.
What happened? He was actually scared by a little snake-beastman who wasn't even ten years old?
Si Yan tugged at the snake beastman's fangs, and the ferocity emanating from the little snake beastman dissipated once more.
Then, Si Yan looked to the side and saw the little black cat reluctantly dragging a ten-year-old white eagle beastman out.
Si Yan said, "Tell everyone what you just saw and heard."
The little white eagle beastman overheard what was happening without realizing it, and was caught by Si Yan again, so there was nothing he could do about it now.
He said, "I was resting over there when I heard those two gray eagle orcs saying that Jiao Sha was missing and they were looking for someone to take the blame. Then they went after that snake orc."
The little white eagle beastman was, after all, a member of the white eagle clan, and his words convinced most of the white eagle beastmen.
"What? That's how it is? Those two Grayhawk Orcs lost their things themselves, but they didn't dare take responsibility, so they found someone else to take the blame?? That's outrageous!"
"How could such a scoundrel appear among us Eagle Beastmen!"
"No way, I'd rather believe the snake-beastman stole it."
"So, you're saying we Eagle Beastmen would actually resort to framing and false accusations?"
Si Yan was a little surprised. She thought that if the little white eagle beastman came out and said a few words, the truth would come out.
Yet, surprisingly, many people still don't believe in falsehoods.
To completely clear him of suspicion, we must find that Jiao Sha.
But she didn't know where Jiaosha was now.
"What's going on?" a clear voice asked.
The White Eagle Beastmen voluntarily made way for them.
On this road, Bai Feng, the High Priest of the White Eagle, walked by.
Throughout the journey, Bai Feng had been keeping an eye on Si Yan.
Somewhat surprisingly, Si Yan seemed to have grown quite a bit since this snake-beastman appeared.
Not only did they dare to confront him, but they also defended the snake-beastman with clear logic at this critical moment.
When Yingchang and Yingshan saw that the High Priest had come in person, they were so frightened that they immediately knelt down.
"High Priest, the silk you ordered was... stolen by that snake-beastman. He... he still won't admit it!" Ying Chang stammered.
Bai Feng's gaze shifted to Si Yan, then to the cold-blooded snake beastman who was staring at Si Yan. Looking at this extremely dangerous little snake beastman, he couldn't help but frown slightly.
Finally, the gaze fell upon Ying Chang and Ying Shan.
"Are you sure it was that snake-beastman who stole Jiao Sha?"
Ying Chang was frightened by Bai Feng, and he stammered, "Lord Bai Feng, I saw with my own eyes that he stole our Jiao Sha."
He looked up cautiously at Bai Feng, "It was you who personally requested the Jiao Sha..."
Bai Feng's expression remained unchanged; he simply said calmly, "I'll ask you one more time: are you sure it was that snake-beastman who stole Jiao Sha?"
The high priest's question made the onlookers, the white eagle beastmen, sense something was amiss.
High Priest, what do you mean by this? Could it be that the snake-beastman really didn't steal the item?
Ying Chang and Ying Shan trembled with fear. The high priest's eyes were terrifying; those pure white eyes seemed to see right through all the evil they had committed over the past few decades.
Yingshan, who was in a bad mood, was the first to break down; he almost cried.
"High Priest, High Priest, we were wrong, we were wrong. We didn't mean to. We were afraid of taking responsibility for the lost items, so we tried to frame that little snake-beastman."
“Eagle Mountain!!” Eagle Chang exclaimed urgently.
Ying Shan pulled Ying Chang aside and said, "Ying Chang, we can't try to hide it from the High Priest. We can't hide it from him."
Ying Chang became increasingly uneasy and finally lowered his head.
"High Priest, we were bewitched, we lost the item, we were afraid to take responsibility, we were wrong..."
Si Yan looked at Bai Feng with some surprise.
Doesn't he dislike snakes?
