Walking through White Eagle City.
Six-year-old Si Yan no longer easily trusts anyone.
She maintains a distance from all patients, and is more cautious when she tries to approach them.
When patients come to her to confide in her, Si Yan will begin to make a judgment.
Does the other person want her to empathize with their pain, or do they want to get something from her?
She learned to be wary, and she learned to think.
A male eagle-orc picked up a piece of meat and offered it to her. "Miss Si Yan, thank you for coming to see us. This piece of meat is something we saved up with great difficulty. Here, have some."
He looked at her expectantly, while Si Yan calmly looked back at him.
The little snake-beastman looked at her. If it were the old her, she would have happily accepted it.
But now, she seems to be different in some way.
She glanced at the piece of meat, then looked up at the eagle-beastman in front of her.
She thought: So, even seemingly honest orcs have a lot of bad intentions.
Si Yan stared directly into the other person's clear eyes, her gaze surprisingly penetrating. The other person, surprisingly, felt guilty under the gaze of this six-year-old child. For a moment, they even saw a double image of her and the High Priest.
Si Yan asked very bluntly, "Why did you give me a piece of meat that was tainted with filth?"
The male orc said, "How could this be diseased meat? Miss Si Yan, you can't wrong an honest man! This is fresh wild animal meat that I hunted!"
Si Yan's voice was clear yet strong as she said, "Bury it."
"Buried? Miss Si Yan, this is really good meat. We gave it to you because we saw how hard you worked to get it!"
Si Yan ignored her and walked forward.
After she walked away, the male orc who had given her the rotten meat said in frustration, "What the hell? She can actually tell the diseased meat? She's only six years old. For a moment, I even thought of the High Priest. What if she doesn't want the meat? Wasn't this little female infected with the plague? Why is she perfectly fine? Won't she get infected? Damn it, I couldn't even try."
Another male orc said to him, "Mugen, tell me, that little female was infected with the evil energy, why is she completely unharmed?"
"Needless to say? It must have been the high priest who saved her."
"How did the High Priest save her? You all think that since the High Priest cares so much about her, she might have something special about her. If we eat her flesh and drink her blood, will our illness be cured?"
"I don't want to die, and I don't want my mistress or my cubs to die."
"Why don't we give it a try? Anyway, even if we cut off a piece of her flesh and drink a bowl of her blood, she won't die."
“That’s right. Even if something happens to her, the High Priest will do everything he can to save her.”
The little snake-beastman was naturally sensitive, and he keenly sensed the malice in the vicinity.
He looked back with utter disgust.
Si Yan's blood is useless; his blood is the useful one.
The little snake-beastman whispered, "Si Yan, be careful."
Si Yan nodded and hummed in agreement.
It turns out that as long as you look closely, all the wicked beastmen's little schemes will be exposed.
Two little cubs, one male and one female, were walking towards the water source. The world was ravaged by plague, a scene of desolation and ruin.
But the flowers along the riverbank were blooming exceptionally brightly.
Si Yan squatted down and drank a few sips of water. Before she had finished, she immediately straightened up and gently placed her hand on the Heart-Connecting Scale that the little snake beastman had given her.
A group of white eagle orcs, their eyes growing increasingly dark, surrounded Si Yan, a little female who looked only six years old, as if they had lost their minds.
Eat her flesh and drink her blood! Their illness will be cured!
This obsession spread wildly in their hearts.
"Mugen, do we really have to do this?"
"Do you want to die? If you do, then come at me; otherwise, get lost! Don't blame me for not playing with you!"
"But she's only six years old, and she's still a female."
"Aren't enough females dying? Aren't enough females dying in our city already?!"
The way they looked at Si Yan was as if they wanted to devour her alive.
Just then, a nine-year-old male snake-human stood in front of Si Yan. His long tail acted as a protective circle, shielding Si Yan.
"Get out." His gaze was icy and fierce.
"Hahahaha, that's hilarious, so hilarious! I actually got threatened by a brat today!!"
"Snake beastmen, ah! I hate snake beastmen the most! Perfect, let's kill them all, eat their flesh and drink their blood. If Bai Kui finds out, she might make me her beast husband!!"
"kill!"
"kill!!!"
These male white eagles had almost lost their minds; they flapped their wings and swooped down on the cold-blooded serpent beastmen one after another.
These orcs looked so crazy that Si Yan was a little scared. She trembled all over, but she did not back down.
"Nonsense!!!"
Time seemed to stand still at that moment.
The little snake-beastman's eyes suddenly glanced at Si Yan's head, where a pitiful little golden dragon, resembling a gecko, sat steadily, seemingly watching the show with glee.
Little Golden Dragon?
The little snake-man's eyes immediately changed.
The gecko jolted and immediately raised its head: "Huh?! He's regained his memories? What's going on?"
Then, he saw the little snake beastman turn around and hug the trembling Si Yan. Then, the electricity on his large tail lashed out at all the white eagle beastmen who tried to approach Si Yan!
As long as he was there, as long as he was alive, he would not allow any orc to harm her!
Little Si Yan lay on the little snake-beastman's body, and she looked up at him.
