Upon entering White Eagle City, Mingyan had people use animal hides to find temporary resting spots.
Si Yan and the children chose a quiet and secluded place. The children found some wood, and Dong Chi took the wood to Ming Yan, who then lit the wood for him.
Dong Chi was no longer afraid of fire. He held up the burning wood and lit Si Yan's firewood.
Xi Qing and Bei Ji dug up some yellow ground fruit nearby, and Si Yan's eyes lit up when she saw it.
"After eating so much bland meat for so many days, I'll make you something delicious today," Si Yan said with a smile.
She made a fresh stone pot out of stones, washed it clean, placed sliced yellow croaker on the bottom, and then placed freshly cut pork belly on the top. Finally, she sprinkled salt on it.
Finally, add freshly filtered water, cover with a stone lid, and simmer.
Before long, the yellow ground fruit and pork belly interacted, and the aroma spread.
Those tiger-beastmen who were eating raw meat all looked in Si Yan's direction.
"Don't rush!" Si Yan slapped away Bei Ji's little hand, which was drooling and wanted to eat meat.
Bei Ji stared at her with longing, like a little kitten.
"It's not done yet, let it simmer a little longer," Si Yan said with a smile. "It's enough for you."
The little gluttons were so hungry that they couldn't wait long before Si Yan finally took the food out of the pot.
She placed the stewed meat and potatoes into the newly made stone bowls and gave them to the babies.
The babies couldn't resist and stuffed it into their mouths before it cooled down, only to cry out in pain from the heat.
"Hot, hot, hot! Delicious, delicious!"
The cubs' reactions made the tiger beastmen even more impatient. However, since they weren't very familiar with them, they didn't dare to approach.
Mingyan turned around and looked at the family of four who were eating. He walked over and sat down next to Siyan.
"Want some?" Si Yan asked naturally.
Mingyan stared silently at the pot.
“Make yourself a bowl,” Si Yan said.
"A bowl?" Mingyan looked at the bowls of the cubs and understood. He quickly and easily carved out a bowl with his claws.
Si Yan scooped out the remaining potato and meat stew from the pot and handed it to Ming Yan.
Mingyan, using the freshly sharpened chopsticks, tried to eat meat with them, just like the other cubs.
He wasn't used to it at first, but he learned quickly and was soon able to eat with chopsticks.
He picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks and ate it, his brows twitching unusually.
"Is it delicious?" Si Yan tilted her head slightly and asked him with a very cute smile.
Mingyan was dazzled by her smile. After a few seconds, he realized what was happening and nodded.
"It's a pity we don't have enough seasonings right now. If only we had star anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorns," Si Yan sighed.
"What are star anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan pepper?" Mingyan asked.
Si Yan got interested and picked up a twig to draw: "It's like this."
The three little ones were watching from the side, but ultimately shook their heads. They'd never seen it before.
"Have you seen it before?" Si Yan asked.
Mingyan frowned and finally said, "I've seen it before in the pharmacy."
Si Yan was excited. She grabbed Ming Yan's shoulders with both hands: "Before? Which pharmacy?!"
Mingyan looked at her hand.
Si Yan withdrew her hand: "Sorry, I got a little excited."
Mingyan: "White Tiger City. But White Tiger City is very far away."
Si Yan was very excited: "If it exists in White Tiger City, it proves that it exists in this world. As long as it exists in this world, I will find it someday."
After all, she has wood-based abilities, and finding plants is her specialty.
The tiger-beastman stared at the meat in Si Yan's pot and bowl, his mouth watering.
Hu Que scoffed, "It's just a bite to eat! Look at you all, so spineless!"
The tiger-beastman retorted, "You've got guts! If you've got guts, then you'll never eat again!"
"I won't eat it. I won't eat it again. I'm not female, why would I eat salt? It's a waste," Hu Que said.
As soon as he finished speaking, Hu Que felt a cool breeze sweep over him, giving him goosebumps. He turned around and saw Si Yan looking at him.
Seriously? She heard everything from this far away?
Si Yan smiled and said, "We can't finish all this meat. Everyone come and share it. There's not much left. Those who arrived early will each get a piece."
Mingyan's eyelids twitched. He looked at the meat in the bowl and felt it wasn't enough.
But in just a moment, many tiger-beastmen lined up!
"Don't argue, there aren't any this time, but there will be more in the future," Si Yan instructed. "Line up, one piece each. There aren't any at Tiger Gate."
Tiger Gate stumbled.
She actually heard it.
"Fine, I won't eat it then! Who cares!"
Si Yan finished distributing the cards shortly afterward, and the tiger-beastmen behind her cried out in despair, "We didn't have any! We didn't have any!"
"Tiger Joe, share some with me, just give me a small bite!"
Tiger Joe swallowed a piece of meat in one gulp. The delicious food melted in his mouth, and he savored the taste: "I don't even have enough for myself, so I won't share with you!"
"I really want to eat it..."
Hu Que said sarcastically, "Hu Qiao, you male beastman are still clinging to salt, how shameful!"
Tiger Joe retorted, "What's shameful about me eating delicious food? You're really sick."
Seeing this, Si Yan smiled and said, "Hu Qiao, we're out of meat, but we still have stewed yellow ground fruit. Do you want some?"
Tiger Joe exclaimed excitedly, "Yes, yes, yes!"
Hu Que was furious. He realized that Si Yan was deliberately trying to provoke him.
After dividing the stewed meat, Si Yan began to clean up.
"Si Dongchi, Si Xiqing, Si Beiji!" Si Yan called to her three little ones after she finished tidying up, "Shall we go out for a walk?"
"Okay." The three little ones were ready in no time.
