Chapter Fifteen: Identity Exposed, Shared Room with the Wolf King (shuhaige.net)

Mouse Mountain Tribe.

The rain was falling softly, and the sky was gradually darkening. Lin Bei stared into the distance, his eyes filled with longing, sitting there motionless like a statue.

"You brat, you haven't eaten all day, are you trying to starve yourself to death?"

“The chieftain said that since she has left the Rat Mountain tribe, she is no longer considered one of our tribesmen.”

"Although the high priest said that she might have inherited the medical skills of the Beast God, she has never shown any ability to heal others in the past ten years. I think she is obviously lying."

"Just like that female who ran away back then, she wanted to deceive the High Priestess, become her apprentice to escape her fate of being sent to the Pi Cave, and even wanted to become the High Priestess herself in the future..."

Lin Ye rambled on and on, but Lin Bei remained unresponsive. His lips were pale as he stared into the distance, his mind replaying his time with Jiang Cha.

Despite being the most useless person in the tribe, she claimed that he was already very capable of raising a female since he was a child.

She also said that even though females in the Beast World Continent need many beast husbands to feed them, the only one she truly acknowledges is him. If possible, she would rather have only him as her beast husband for the rest of her life.

The old Acha would never have said such a thing.

In his memory, Acha was introverted, kind, timid, and shy. Every time he brought her food, she would only say thank you in a soft, gentle voice, and she never dared to get close to him.

The reason he took the initiative to feed Acha was because Acha's father had saved his life.

Later, he discovered that Acha was beautiful and cute, and he thought that it would be a very happy thing to have such a little female as a partner in the future.

But he suddenly realized that Acha had changed. She had become brave and intelligent, and she also knew a lot about pharmacology. She no longer called him Brother Lin Bei in a low and timid voice, but instead called him by his name in a bright and bold way.

She even dared to drag him into that kind of thing; it was Acha who guided him through their first time...

Lin Bei felt a surge of excitement at the thought of that matter, his face filled with conflicting emotions.

He felt that Ah Cha had become a different person, and that she still possessed their memories.

But if he told anyone, no one would believe him.

This is not a good thing for Acha either.

He discovered that he seemed to love the changed Acha more, and his mind was filled with images of them entangled together.

"Xiao Bei, what's so good about that little female? Besides being pretty, she's utterly useless."

Hearing his father still belittling Acha, Lin Bei suddenly stood up. "Acha is not entirely useless. She is my only companion and the best little female!"

"Are you crazy! Are you saying you're never going to have a partner again?"

"Father, give up! Even without the mark, I will never accept another female, unless I die!"

"You...you're really going to drive me crazy!"

Lin Ye clutched his chest, his head throbbing with anger.

He gasped for breath, trying to calm his anger. "A young female left the tribe and encountered such terrible weather. Do you think she could survive?"

"Whether she lives or dies, wherever she is, I, Lin Bei, will never betray her!"

Seeing his son's determined look, Lin Ye sighed heavily and reluctantly gave in, "Fine, I'll take you out to find her when the rain stops tomorrow."

"Thank you, Father!"

"Alas! What a tragic fate! What a tragic fate!"

Lin Ye muttered to himself, as if he had aged 10 years in an instant. He put the meat on the table, picked up a leaf umbrella from the corner of the wall, held it over his head, and went outside.

Wolf clan.

"Your Majesty, the priest is treating that brat Feng Mu; it seems he's seriously injured?"

"That's right, that's right. It was carried back by a lot of brothers. It looked terrible."

Wolf One and Wolf Two are two young males who look exactly alike and appear rather dull-witted.

He was also quite interested in the little female that Kovi was holding.

"My lord, where did you snatch this little female from? Is she injured?"

“If this is the partner chosen by the king, then she is definitely more important than that kid Feng Mu. I’ll go and bring the priest over right now.”

"I'll go, I'm faster than you."

"No, I'll go, I'm better at talking than you."

Achoo!

Jiang Cha sneezed again, successfully interrupting the two's argument.

"I'm fine. What I need now is a hot shower and a change of clothes. Please don't disturb the priest."

That fox must be seriously injured. She could have treated her own cold; why would she drag others into this?

Wolf One and Wolf Two looked at each other, but neither of them made any further moves.

"What are you two idiots standing there for? Didn't you hear me? My wife said she wants to take a hot bath. Hurry up and get me some hot water, and go find a nice set of female clothes."

Kovi, with his fiery temper, couldn't stand it. Holding the ginger tea, he kicked each of the two hotheads.

"Yes, yes, I'll go right away."

Urged on by the wolf king, the two henchmen ran out quickly.

"Who's your wife? Put me down!"

Jiang Cha struggled desperately in his arms for a couple of moments but couldn't break free.

She glanced down and estimated that the man was at least two meters tall, with eight well-defined abdominal muscles pressed tightly against his skin, warm and firm.

That wolf king is really tall, and his physique is so wild!

Her height of 1.68 meters is considered tall even in modern times, but she looked almost like a dwarf next to him.

"Alright, alright, I'll put you down right now. Little Cha'er, don't move around too much, or you'll hurt yourself."

After gently placing her on the wooden bed, he thoughtfully brought her a coarse cloth towel, saying, "Let's dry off first."

The word "Laozi" must have been his catchphrase, but every time he wanted to say it, he would stop himself in front of her.

He speaks so rudely to others, but he's a completely different person in front of her, being incredibly gentle with her.

Jiang Cha took the towel and looked around at the furnishings in the room.

This place is worlds apart from the Rat Mountain tribe.

The only furniture there was stone beds; there was practically no other furniture, even the tables were made of stone.

In the wolf king's house, there was not only a wooden bed, but also a simple table and stools they had made, and even coarse cloth towels in their hands. Their living standards had undergone a qualitative leap.

They were able to provide her with a hot bath quickly, even when she asked for one, suggesting that using celestial fire was commonplace for them.

"Are you hungry, old man? I'll go find you something to eat."

"I don't mind if I'm used to saying it."

"Hehe! I'll go find you something to eat. Honey, don't wander off, it's raining heavily outside and there are wild animals around, it's dangerous!"

"Who's your wife? Don't call me that!"

Jiang Cha glared at him sideways.

But that fierce look had no intimidating effect on Kovi; instead, it made him feel hot all over!
