Chapter 13 Xuanmo, Wrongfully Accused

Chapter 13 Xuanmo, Wrongfully Accused

A moment of silence—

"Go ahead," Yi Yuan said.

"Thanks!"

With the man's permission, Shu Ning's brows relaxed, and her eyes shone with joy.

"And what about you?"

As Shu Ning thought of something, she turned around and asked, just as she was about to go inside.

"What, you want me to come in and sleep with you?"

Yi Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

Seeing the man's unfathomable gaze, she avoided his eyes, not daring to meet his gaze, a hint of panic in her eyes.

That's exactly what she thought, but she'd only been there two days, and her body hadn't changed much yet.

Although she did lose a lot of weight with the help of the system, she still didn't look much different.

She estimated that the original owner's weight had exceeded 300 jin, or even 500 jin.

"You...you shouldn't overthink it, I was just asking casually." After saying that, she fled into Yiyuan's cave.

She didn't want him to feel disgusted by her.

Lying in bed, Shu Ning sorted out her thoughts.

She is currently at level 1 and can use teleportation 5 times a day.

When she was level 0, each use of teleportation would consume her own fat energy. Now that she is level 1, will she still consume energy?

If not, how can she lose weight quickly?

"007, will using teleportation now still consume energy?"

"Yes." The system's cold, mechanical voice replied.

"Those with an ability level of 1 consume less energy when using teleportation than those with a level of 0, and the higher the level, the less energy is required."

"Could you be more specific?" Shu Ning asked.

"When the energy level is 0, using teleportation consumes 10 jin of fat energy; at level 1, it consumes 9 jin; at level 2, it consumes 8 jin; at level 3, it consumes 7 jin, and so on."

"I can now use teleportation five times a day. Will I still feel dizzy after using the last one?"

"Won't."

"That's good."

In this way, she would have 5 teleportation opportunities, and could lose nearly 50 pounds every day.

"007, do you know how much I weigh right now?" Shu Ning really wanted to know.

450.

It was pretty much as she had guessed!

If she uses the teleportation skill every day, she can lose weight to over 100 pounds in 7 days.

I used it three times today, and I have two more to go, so I shouldn't waste them.

Shu Ning looked at the stone beside her and used up her remaining two teleports.

The next morning—

Shu Ning stretched and got up to find a few wild fruits beside her bed.

She went out to check, but didn't see Yiyuan.

It seems he got up quite early.

After finishing the fruit, she used teleportation to return to her cave.

Looking at the big tree at the entrance of the cave, she decided to renovate it properly.

He took out the chainsaw from the space and got to work.

...

It wasn't finished until the afternoon.

"I'm such a smart and capable girl!"

Shu Ning looked at the finished product that she had spent almost a day completing and boasted about it.

She was exhausted and covered in sweat. After resting for a while, she planned to take a bath in the river.

In a single teleportation [1 time], I arrived at the place where I had taken a bath last time.

This time she brought a 3-in-1 soap, intending to give herself a good bath.

Shu Ning saw her reflection in the river water and realized that most of the pimples and sores on her face had disappeared.

It seems the pearl powder Shuting gave her really worked!

Excited, Shu Ning patted the water and hummed a song as she continued scrubbing herself.

I didn't expect this soap liquid to be so good, and it even smells nice.

Shu Ning felt even better.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, Shu Ning planned to take a walk along the river.

The towering trees, insects, fish, birds, and beasts here all seem to be in harmony.

Sleeping in Yiyuan Cave last night probably doesn't count as completing the mission, right? Looks like I'll have to find a way.

Before I knew it, I was back in the tribe, but today the tribe's sacrificial altar was noisy and chaotic.

Many orcs continued to head in that direction.

"Have you heard? A sacrificial ceremony is going to be held at the altar!"

"I've heard about it. Apparently, the orc who was sacrificed must have committed some kind of crime."

"What happened?" Shu Ning asked curiously, and went over to see what was going on.

As she looked up through the crowd, she was surprised to find that Xuan Mo was tied up.

He was covered in wounds, blood was flowing from his mouth, his eyes were drooping, and it was impossible to tell whether they were open or closed. His head hung limply.

She rushed forward and angrily questioned, "Why did you tie up Xuanmo?"

“He harmed the wolf-men and deserves the punishment he deserves,” the high priest said.

"Harm the wolf-beastmen? When did he harm the wolf-beastmen?!" Shu Ning asked, then remembered what happened yesterday.

"Have you forgotten the Black Serpent Clan that attacked us yesterday?" one of the wolf-clan orcs asked excitedly.

This person was the beastman who had returned from the Jiao Clan with her yesterday.

"He wasn't there yesterday either!" Shu Ning said, somewhat agitated.

"He's the only one from the Black Serpent Clan in the entire Wolf Clan. He must have been the one tipping off the Black Serpent Clan, otherwise how could it be such a coincidence?"

“That’s right, we almost died there!” another wolf-orc echoed.

"Just because he's from the Black Serpent Clan, does that mean he's in there? If you're sure he's with that group of Black Serpents, then please produce the evidence!"

Shu Ning still vividly remembered the scene of being besieged by the Black Serpent Clan yesterday, but she believed that Xuan Mo was definitely not inside.

He had saved her the day before, and as a wolf-human beastman, she had a keen sense of smell and recognized his scent.

The two orcs, speechless for a moment, looked at each other with slightly flustered expressions.

“We’ve seen him,” suddenly an orc said.

“Yes, yes, we saw him!” another chimed in.

"Okay, is there any other evidence?"

“That’s all,” one of the orcs said.

A sly glint flashed in Shu Ning's eyes.

"I saw you steal my necklace yesterday, please give it back to me." Shu Ning said, reaching out to the orc.

"You're talking nonsense. When did I steal your necklace? Do you have any proof?" The beastman only realized what he had said as soon as he finished speaking.

"So you have no evidence at all, yet you make baseless accusations that Xuanmo attacked you and tipped them off?" Shu Ning said.

"High Priest, you heard it too! I'm going to sue those two for wrongly accusing my beast husband!" Shu Ning turned to the High Priest beside her and said.

"Granted," the high priest said. "Guards, drag them away!"

Seeing the two orcs being dragged away, Shu Ning quickly ran to Xuan Mo's side to untie him.

"Disperse, disperse!" the high priest shouted.

The crowd dispersed.

Xuanmo, who had just been untied, collapsed weakly, and Shu Ning quickly helped him up.

Shu Ning was shocked by the horrific wounds on his body.

"Xuanmo, Xuanmo, wake up, wake up." Shu Ning carefully supported his back.

Xuanmo, writhing in pain, tried weakly to open his eyes, but couldn't.

He could only see a blurry figure and hear someone calling his name.

Then she fainted.
