Chapter 132 Sneak Attack

Chapter 132 Sneak Attack

On the way back.

Xiao Chong, Shu Ning, and Jin Tong walked in front.

Xuanmo, Moli, and Yan walked behind.

"This adventure was so much fun!" Jin Tong, who was walking ahead, recalled. "Especially inside the cave, it must have been so beautiful when that blue flower bud fully opened!"

"I knew it was pretty. If it weren't for Mo Li, we probably wouldn't have recovered in a long time," Yan said.

"And Ningning, if it weren't for the Xuanjing Stone she gave us, Mo Li would probably have entered the illusion like us long ago," Jin Tong said. "Right, Xiao Chong?"

Upon hearing Jin Tong's words, Xiao Chong glanced at Shu Ning beside him, a gentle look appearing in his eyes, and smiled, "Yes."

As they prepared to re-enter the lake, looking at the still misty surface, the group had a vague feeling that something was wrong.

They sensed it from the beginning, but since nothing happened, they didn't say anything.

"Let Xuanmo take me this time." Shu Ning turned to look at Xuanmo.

"Ningning, I'm going with you this time," Xiao Chong said.

“Ningning, I want to go with you too,” Jin Tong said.

“Then you have to ask Xuanmo first,” Yan said. He also wanted to go with Shu Ning, but there were already so many people, so he didn’t say it.

Xuanmo: "Okay."

"Hmph." Jin Tong glanced at Yan, a smug look on his face.

"Everyone be careful this time," Mo Li reminded, "especially you, Jin Tong, be extra careful when you're with Shu Ning."

"Do you need to remind me?" Jin Tong pouted.

Then Mo Li and Xuan Mo reverted to their original forms, and Yan joined Mo Li.

Jin Tong, Shu Ning, and Xiao Chong sat on Xuan Mo's back in turn.

"Ningning, you still haven't said what you want that giant mother worm for, and why did it suddenly disappear?" Jin Tong turned around and asked Shu Ning.

“I plan to use her to lure out…” Shu Ning looked around, a bad feeling creeping into her heart, and scanned her surroundings warily.

She then leaned closer to him and whispered, "Jin Tong, I'll explain this to you when we get back."

"Hmm." Jin Tong responded in a low voice, and as he sensed the increasingly strong scent of black snakes around him, his expression became more cautious.

"Hurry up!" Mo Li suddenly shouted, as he could feel the ripples in the surrounding lake water becoming increasingly noticeable.

As soon as he finished speaking, a loud "whoosh" suddenly came from all around, and a swarm of black snakes rushed out instantly.

The already misty lake, combined with the countless black snakes, instantly turned the entire scene dark.

They moved swiftly, their eyes extremely ferocious; each was an adult male, their golden vertical pupils fixed on them, their forked tongues flicking, awaiting orders from their leader.

Upon seeing them, the seated men immediately stood up and assumed an attack stance to confront them.

"Not good!" Mo Li shouted, seeing their large numbers, she realized that escape might not be so easy this time.

“These black snakes are probably under the orders of Heiteng, and they’re in a hurry to get rid of us,” Yan said, her eyes warily scanning her surroundings. “Especially Xuanmo.”

“Xuanmo is back. He’s going to lose his position. We have to get rid of him as soon as possible,” Jin Tong said, his fiery red vertical pupils fixed on them.

"Hey, not bad, your analysis is pretty accurate."

At that moment, a voice came from the group of black snakes.

The group looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the black snakes in front of them parted to make way for a black snake with a black dragon on its back to enter.

"As expected of the King of the Crimson Flame Tigers." He spoke with disdain, his calm gaze concealing a hidden killing intent.

"Hei Teng, if Xuan Mo is gone, aren't you afraid An Sha will punish you?" Shu Ning asked, realizing something.

“Him? Ha!” Hei Teng chuckled, “He has already been…” He paused, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Shu Ning.

"What, did you do something shameful?" Shu Ning asked, trying to provoke him when he didn't continue.

At this moment, Xuan Mo frowned slightly, a dangerous glint flashing in his deep eyes. He suppressed his anger and roared in a low voice, "What happened to An Sha!?"

"Ha! You've been disappearing without a trace for so long, and now you're pretending to be a filial son," Hei Teng mocked. "It doesn't matter if I tell you, since none of you are going to live past today anyway."

Hei Teng crossed his arms and looked down at them.

"I've already given him the herb of forgetfulness," he said casually. "A large dose, really."

“He doesn’t remember you anymore.” Hei Teng wanted to laugh as he said this.

"Pfft, hahaha... Xuanmo didn't expect this, did he? He doesn't even remember you."

“Now I am the only son he knows.” He raised his head slightly, looked at the gray sky, opened his arms, closed his eyes and sighed.

"Oh, I thought you killed him," Jin Tong mocked. "But thinking about it, it makes sense. With your current abilities, you can't possibly conquer the orcs from other tribes."

"You!" Hei Teng, realizing he'd been hit where it hurt, instantly flew into a rage, roaring, "Kill them all—!"

In an instant, the ferocious black snakes around them opened their mouths and charged towards them all at once.

The lake surface was instantly stirred up by them, and waves began to roll.

Upon seeing this, the Nightmare transformed into its original form as a Crimson Flame Tiger.

Xiao Chong and Jin Tong also transformed into their original forms to protect Shu Ning behind them.

"Ningning, don't be afraid, I won't let them hurt you," Jin Tong said to Shu Ning, assuming an attack stance.

"Yes, Jintong, I believe you!" Shu Ning replied firmly.

But she remained completely calm.

Whose favorability should we use?

Shu Ning watched as the black snake was about to pounce.

Use Xuanmo's; it seems to be the best.

"Xuanmo and Moli have sunk into the water!" Shu Ning shouted.

The group was instantly dumbfounded.

"Quick! Trust me!" Shu Ning shouted again.

Upon hearing this, Xuanmo immediately did as instructed and dived into the water, and Moli followed suit.

After seeing Xuanmo and the others disappear into the water, a hint of panic flashed in Heiteng's eyes, but he quickly concealed it.

"You think you can escape like this?" Hei Teng said disdainfully as they dived into the water.

After sinking into the dark lake, Shu Ning teleported them back to Xuan Mo's cave.

The group of people who were holding their breath just a second ago found themselves in a cave the next second.

They were even more confused now.

Weren't we just in the water? How did we suddenly end up here?

"Is this... Xuanmo's cave?" Jin Tong asked, looking at the red flowers with a puzzled expression, but his nerves remained tense.

At this point, Xiao Chong, Mo Li, Xuan Mo, and Yan seemed to have already guessed that it was Shu Ning's doing.

Jin Tong was still in a daze. He subconsciously turned around to look for Shu Ning and found her there. His tense mood relaxed after that.

"What's going on?" he asked, his fiery red vertical pupils flashing with a look of confusion.

He noticed that they remained calm, a stark contrast to his reaction.

“Of course it’s thanks to the goddess,” Nightmare said.

"Goddess? What is that?" Jin Tong looked at him in confusion.

Yan patted his shoulder, then looked at Xuan Mo, "Xuan Mo, what do you plan to do?"

Recalling what had just happened, a sinister glint flashed in Xuan Mo's eyes. His voice was low and filled with suppressed anger, "Kill him."
