Shu Ning was about to turn back to wipe the blood from Xuan Mo's mouth when Xuan Mo wiped it away first.
Looking at his melancholy eyes, she guessed that Xuanmo might have misunderstood her. "Xuanmo, I really didn't mean it. Are you... alright?"
He said indifferently, "It's nothing."
After hearing that he was alright, Shu Ning still got up to check on him before she felt relieved.
“Ning, he’s already an adult beastman, he won’t be this fragile,” Jin Tong comforted Shu Ning.
Xuanmo grabbed her wrist just before it touched his lips. Seeing the worry in her eyes, his eyes flickered, and he reached out to pat her head. "Eat meat."
"Hmm." Shu Ning sat back down after seeing the gloom in his eyes dissipate, and prepared to eat the barbecue.
Having not eaten all day, her stomach was growling loudly.
After tasting the bland flavor of the roasted meat in her hand, she took out salt from her spatial storage and sprinkled it on.
"Do you want some?" Shu Ning asked, looking around.
"Yes!" Jin Tong exclaimed excitedly when he saw the salt wrapped in leaves in Shu Ning's hand.
"Ning, how did you bring all this over? And what you said you'd explain to me when we got back from the lake today? Tell me about it when you go to sleep later!" Jin Tong said.
Jin Tong wagged her tail sheepishly as she spoke.
“No, she’s still sleeping with me tonight.” Xuan Mo realized something upon hearing this, and suddenly pulled Shu Ning into his arms, looking down at her as he spoke.
“She slept with you last night, so it should be our turn tonight.” Jin Tong was displeased upon hearing this, and her wagging tail immediately stopped.
“Not enough,” Xuan Mo said, tightening his grip on Shu Ning’s arm.
"You..." Jin Tong was about to speak when he heard Qing Ming's words.
"Alright, alright, you guys should ask Shu Ning. Let her go with whoever she wants," Qing Ming said, unable to bear it any longer.
At this moment, Jin Tong and Xuan Mo looked at Shu Ning, while the other beastmen pricked up their ears to listen.
“I…” She looked up at Xuan Mo, who was holding her, and then at Jin Tong.
They're going back tomorrow, and Xuanmo might be very busy in the future and we might not see him much anymore.
"I'll stay with Xuanmo tonight," she finally decided.
"Hmm." Xuanmo smiled slightly upon hearing this, responding with satisfaction.
"Friendly reminder: Xuanmo's favorability has increased by 2 points, and his current total favorability is 84."
“Okay…” Upon hearing Shu Ning’s reply, Jin Tong drooped his ears, retracted his tail, and dimmed his eyes.
"Friendly reminder: Jin Tong's favorability has decreased by 1 point, and her current total favorability is 69."
Shu Ning, who was just happy that Xuan Mo's favorability had increased, frowned again after hearing that Jin Tong's favorability had decreased.
