Chapter 148 First Entry into the Abandoned Beast Domain
On the way, Jin Tong carried Shu Ning on his back and walked alongside the others.
Their parallel order is as follows: Xuan Lin, Jin Tong, Han She, and Mo Li.
"Jintong, it's a long way. If you get tired later, just let us know and we'll carry Ningning," Moli said.
"Don't worry about it, you don't need to worry about that," Jin Tong said. "Ning Ning isn't heavy."
"By the way, Ningning, you haven't told me what you're going there for?" Jintong suddenly remembered the question from earlier and asked.
Shu Ning, who was pondering how to complete the system task, snapped out of her thoughts and said, "I heard that there is dragon blood grass in that place. I want to go with Mo Li to look for it."
"Dragon Blood Grass?" Jin Tong asked疑惑地, "What is it used for?"
"It's rumored to be one of the key factors that helped the Jiao Clan successfully transform into dragons," Shu Ning said.
"Does such a thing really exist?" Jin Tong asked doubtfully after hearing this.
“It’s possible,” Xuan Lin said.
“Yes,” Han She said from the side.
Jin Tong glanced at him in surprise, "Oh ho, I didn't expect you to know that too."
"The Lord of the Abandoned Beast Domain is Yinglong, named Mingyu." Han She looked into the distance with a cold gaze, her eyes slightly narrowed.
He spent time in that place when he was working away from home in his early years.
Upon hearing this, the group looked at Han She in surprise, not expecting him to even know who the domain lord was.
"Isn't it said that dragons have become extinct?" Jin Tong still didn't quite believe it.
Decades ago, the last dragon completely disappeared from the Beast World continent.
“They haven’t gone extinct,” Xuan Lin said.
“Not bad,” Han She said.
"Sigh, it seems I'm the only one who doesn't know," Jin Tong said with feigned sigh.
“Now you know,” Mo Li said.
"Hmph, now I not only know, but I'm going to see him!" Jin Tong ran even faster excitedly at the thought of meeting the legendary true dragon.
Seeing this, the others exchanged glances and then sped up to follow.
They then crossed several rivers and entered a forest again.
"Let's take a break," Mo Li called out.
“I’m not tired,” Jin Tong replied.
“You’re not tired, but Ningning is tired from sitting.” Mo Li said.
Only after hearing this did Jin Tong finally stop.
After they sat down to rest, Mo Li took out some fruit and distributed it to them.
"There's a plain ahead. Let's rest a bit more so we can continue our journey," Xuan Lin said.
“Wouldn’t it be easier to travel on the plains?” Jin Tong said.
He found it easier to catch prey when he went hunting in flat areas.
"It's easy, but the further you go, the fewer plants there are," Han She said.
"After the plains, we'll pass through a desert," Shu Ning said.
“Not bad,” Xuan Lin said in a deep voice.
"Ningning, how did you know? Have you been there?" Jintong asked.
“I…” Shu Ning paused for a moment, “I heard it from Xiao Chong.”
"I see."
"I'll carry Ningning on my back later," Mo Li said.
“No need for Mo Li,” Shu Ning said. “I’ll walk that stretch of plains by myself later. You guys save your energy.”
"Ningning, you're not heavy at all now, you're even lighter than before, don't be so polite with me," Mo Li comforted her, thinking she was worried about her weight.
"It was Jin Tong who carried me just now, how did you know..." Shu Ning recalled.
"When the Black Serpent Clan went to find the insects, did you forget?" Mo Li said.
“That was Xuanmo carrying me on his back,” Shu Ning said.
"That time with the itchy grass," Jin Tong reminded her.
"Oh, I see." Shu Ning suddenly remembered, "Jin Tong, I didn't expect you to remember so clearly."
"That's right, Ningning, I remember everything about you perfectly clearly," Jin Tong said proudly.
"Jintong, you're so kind," Shu Ning said, hugging his arm.
Hearing Shu Ning's praise, Jin Tong blushed slightly, "It's only right."
"Friendly reminder: Jin Tong's favorability has increased by 2 points, and her current total favorability is 84."
After resting for a while, they set off.
Shu Ning originally wanted to run away by herself, but Han She carried her on his back without giving her a chance to refuse.
On the plains section, there were basically no obstacles, and they quickly finished the run by speeding up.
"Han She, we'll be in the desert soon, put me down." She patted his back and said, "I can walk by myself."
Han She did not do as instructed and continued walking.
After leaving the desert, they would soon reach the Abandoned Beast Domain. Shu Ning thought she would encounter hallucinations like last time, so she remained on edge.
"Relax," he said softly, feeling the female's body tense.
“Okay,” Shu Ning replied.
"Ningning, don't be afraid, there are no wild animals around here," Jin Tong said.
“Mm,” Shu Ning replied.
After a while, the group became sticky and sweaty from the sun.
"Let's have some water before we continue our journey," Shu Ning said, seeing that they were almost exhausted from the sun.
"That works too," Mo Li said, and the group stopped.
Shu Ning took out water and bowls from her space for them, and then took out animal hides to cover their heads to try to keep them from getting too much sun.
If it weren't for the difficulty in increasing their favorability rating, she would have loved to take some water from the river she had passed earlier to cool them down.
However, she also filled her space with a lot of water, enough for them to drink their fill and even take a bath.
After a short rest, the group continued their journey.
After an unknown amount of time, they finally arrived at the legendary Abandoned Beast Domain.
Even before they entered the place, many eyes were secretly watching them from the shadows.
There isn't much vegetation in this area, but sand and soil are everywhere.
Many of the male beastmen on the road were tall, but some were crippled or small.
There were practically no females to be seen; in fact, there were none at all.
From the moment Shu Ning and her group stepped into this place, they immediately attracted their attention.
"Ningning, where is that dragon blood grass?" Mo Li asked.
“Underneath a cave,” Shu Ning recalled, “it was called… Void Rift…”
"What are you people doing?!"
Just then, an orc with a scar down the middle of his face suddenly shouted loudly from behind them.
This instantly attracted a crowd of orcs who were of different races, with fierce expressions and xenophobic looks in their eyes.
Upon seeing this, the beastmen immediately became more vigilant and watched them closely.
"Be careful," Han She said, shielding Shu Ning behind her.
"What, can't we come to this place?" Jin Tong stepped forward and shouted.
“That’s right, you just can’t come,” he said smugly.
"Isn't this place specifically for orcs who have been driven out of their tribes and have no home?" Mo Li said.
“Yes, they specifically take in orcs they don’t want,” he said, then raised his voice, “But are you homeless?”
As soon as he finished speaking, the other onlookers began to discuss it.
"Dressed so nicely, you also want to come to our Abandoned Beast Domain."
"Exactly, it's obviously not something that was abandoned by a tribe."
"I think they must have their eyes on what we have here; they've come specifically looking for treasure."
