Chapter 230 Finding the Entrance
After a while, the group saw a deep abyss cliff lying in front of them, like a seabed split open, with darkness stretching to the bottom.
"Is this really it?" Yan asked, standing on the edge and looking down into the pitch blackness.
"Oh my god." Jin Tong exclaimed, taking a step back as he came up.
"Are you trying to lie to us?" Han She looked at Yan Ling and questioned.
"No, how could that be?" Yan Ling said when he saw that they didn't believe him. "This is the dragon vein of our Zombie Dragon Clan, so it must be hidden."
“How could I possibly be discovered so easily?” he said.
"It doesn't look special at all. If this were on land, it would just be a stinking ditch," Jin Tong said disdainfully.
"You... have you ever seen such a huge stinking ditch?" Yan Ling said angrily after hearing this.
"What else could it be? This?" Jin Tong said, pointing below.
"This is just the entrance; we haven't even started entering yet," Yan Ling said, transforming into his original form as a zombie dragon and swimming directly towards the abyss, hovering above it.
"One of you just needs to take her down with me. The rest of you can stay here and guard if you're scared," he said, circling and flying towards them.
After hearing Yan Ling's words, the others thought for a moment.
"I'll take Ningning downstairs," Mo Li said, looking at them, then at Shu Ning, "Ningning, don't be afraid, I'll protect you."
“Yes, I’m not afraid,” Shu Ning said. As Mo Li got up and flew towards Yan Ling, the surrounding environment began to darken.
“I’ll go with you,” Xiao Chong said.
“I’ll come too,” Nightmare said.
“Together,” Yi Yuan said, glancing at the others who hadn’t spoken, “You can stay here in case anything unexpected happens.”
“No, I want to go with Ningning,” Jintong said.
Then they all leaped up and swam to catch up.
The group followed Yan Ling down into the abyss. After leaving the area they had just been in, darkness quickly enveloped them.
Even with their night vision, they couldn't see each other at that moment.
Shu Ning looked around at the pitch blackness, gripped Mo Li tightly, and silently observed her surroundings.
"Where are you?" After losing her sense of direction upon entering the abyss, Jin Tong began swimming only in the direction she had come from.
"Here," Shu Ning replied after hearing Jin Tong's voice.
“This,” said Yi Yuan, who was following closely behind Mo Li.
Those who heard the sound moved closer to the source of the noise.
The surroundings were now quiet, no longer as noisy as they had been at the top.
Mo Li and the others could only hear the faint splashing sound of the fish swimming.
As the group swam further downstream, the water temperature became cooler.
"How much longer until we arrive?" Jin Tong asked.
"Soon."
As Yan Ling spoke, a silver light suddenly emanated from between the scales of the black dragon's body.
At the same time, as if sensing something, the scales on Mo Li's body suddenly emitted a sapphire blue light, which appeared exceptionally gentle yet dazzling in the dark abyss.
"Wow." Jin Tong exclaimed in surprise upon seeing it, "Mo Li, what's going on with you? I didn't expect you to be able to glow."
"You can glow too?" he asked in surprise after noticing Yan Ling ahead.
The abyss, which was originally pitch black and where few people could see each other, is now so dark that they can see one another.
"I don't know either." After hearing Jin Tong's words, Mo Li looked behind her and saw that it was indeed glowing.
"That's because there's a dragon vein right ahead. When dragons get close to the dragon vein, their bodies feel the attraction and nourishment from it, and they automatically respond," Yan Ling explained.
"Can you feel anything in your body?" he asked, turning to look at Mo Li.
"Hmm," Mo Li replied, and after carefully sensing it, she said, "Indeed, a very magical power is flowing through my body, and my whole body seems to have become more powerful and more flexible."
“That’s right. This is the wonder of our Zombie Dragon Clan’s Dragon Vein. It can make the dragon power within you even stronger. Before, you could only transform into a dragon form, fly, and possess some basic dragon-like sensory abilities,” Yan Ling said.
"If you stay here for half a day, your dragon abilities will be further developed."
"This place is practically a holy land for Mo Li!" Jin Tong exclaimed.
"What other abilities do you have?" Mo Li asked.
"I don't know about that. You're not a pure dragon, so you'll be different from us zombie dragons, and even from all other types of dragons. It all depends on your own destiny." Yan Ling continued swimming downstream.
A moment later, they reached the underground.
The moment they reached the ground, a green light extended outwards from beneath their feet, but quickly disappeared.
With each step, a faint green glowing footprint appears on the ground beneath one's feet.
"How amazing!" Jin Tong exclaimed, looking at the light emanating from beneath his feet as he moved.
"What is this?" Nightmare asked.
“These are all living things, living off the dragon's spiritual veins year after year, endlessly regenerating, and have existed for a very long time,” Yan Ling said.
"Huh?" Jin Tong exclaimed in shock, his feet frozen in place. "Are they poisonous?"
"No, don't worry, it's non-toxic and harmless," Yan Ling said. "And it won't be easily trampled to death."
After Shu Ning got off Mo Li, Mo Li also returned to her original form.
When Xuanmo saw Shu Ning come down, he was worried about her and immediately took her hand.
Shu Ning looked up and thought it was Xiao Chong, but when her eyes met a pair of golden vertical pupils, she felt a little uncomfortable.
"Can I take some back to raise?" she asked, looking at the invisible creatures at her feet, trying to distract herself.
“No, they won’t survive if we leave here.” Yan Ling said, walking to the rock wall next to him and feeling around.
"What are you looking for?" Yi Yuan asked, noticing Yan Ling's actions.
“The entrance,” Yan Ling replied.
"What entrance?" Xuan Lin asked.
"The entrance to the center of the spiritual vein." Yan Ling responded by feeling the surrounding rock walls.
"Isn't this the spiritual vein of your Zombie Dragon Clan? How come you don't even know this?" Jin Tong said disdainfully.
“It’s our Zombie Dragon Clan’s spiritual vein, but its entrance changes frequently, so I can’t find it right away.” Yan Ling said, having found nothing on one side, and then searched on the other side.
“What are its characteristics? We can help you find them,” Xiao Chong said.
“Searching for races other than the dragons is useless,” Yan Ling said.
“I can,” Mo Li said, stepping forward after hearing this.
“Okay, put your hand on the rock wall. If you feel a tingling sensation in your hand and the rock wall glows, that’s the entrance trigger point,” Yan Ling said.
"Is this so complicated because you're afraid someone will steal it?" Jin Tong complained.
“Of course not. How can we allow outsiders to trample on such a sacred and inviolable relic?” Yan Ling said.
"Hmm, is that so?" Mo Li imitated Yan Ling's movements, pressing her hand against the rock wall, and then a purple light emanated from her palm outwards.
