Chapter 7 Returning Home

Chapter 7 Returning Home

Mo Li looked at Shu Ning's chubby little paws holding her hand, and a hint of disdain flashed in her eyes.

He wanted to shake him off, but then he remembered that Shu Ning had said she had prepared a homecoming gift for him, and he became thoughtful.

He wanted to see what this female could prepare.

For the first time ever, he let her hold his hand like that.

He didn't say anything on the surface, but he still resisted contact with her.

Shu Ning held his long, slender, pale hand, feeling quite shy inside.

Before long, the two arrived at the entrance of Shu Ning's cave.

"Hey."

She excitedly showed him what she had gained.

Mo Li looked at the dazzling gem in the female's hand, and then at the bags of packages behind her. Her originally cold eyes now showed a hint of surprise.

"Where did you get these...?" Mo Li picked up a gemstone and examined it closely.

Its color and texture are of the highest quality, and it shines with a dazzling array of colors under the sun.

"I found it myself," Shu Ning said proudly, her tone rising.

She blinked and looked at him.

It was as if she was showing him her spoils, waiting for his praise.

"You found all of these yourself?"

Mo Li looked at Shu Ning with her sapphire blue eyes, her expression changed slightly, and she pursed her lips, seemingly trying to hide her surprise, but she couldn't completely conceal it.

"Hmm~"

Shu Ning proudly raised her head, noticing the change in the man's expression, and continued:

"Now can I accompany you on your homecoming visit?"

He couldn't guess where she found those gems or how she brought them back.

Is this rumored incredibly lazy and ugly female lying?

But looking at these gems he had never seen before, Mo Li's prejudice against Shu Ning lessened a little.

“Mm,” Mo Li replied.

"That's great!" Shu Ning exclaimed happily.

But how to transport them? Shu Ning looked at all these gems with worry.

Suddenly, something came to mind.

"Wait here for me."

After speaking with Mo Li, he left.

A short while later, several strong males followed behind Shu Ning.

One of them was Xiao Chong.

Mu Xia asked a few of the males to help Shu Ning move some things, without specifying what they were.

"Please help me move these to the Jiao Clan."

Upon learning that the jewels were a homecoming gift prepared by the plump female for her new beast mate, he looked somewhat displeased.

Afterwards, the group set off for the Jiao Clan.

Although the Jiaolong clan and the wolf clan were not close, they were all beastmen, strong and robust, and their speed increased many times over after transforming into beast form.

Only Shu Ning, the chubby female, not only moved slowly, but also got tired and cried out for a rest after a short while.

She can't do anything about it; she's still very fat.

"I can't take it anymore, I can't take it anymore..." Shu Ning gasped for breath.

"Not working again?" Xiao Chong said with disdain.

"With your looks, what face do you think you have to put on and go back to his house with him?"

"I'm so sorry," Shu Ning said apologetically.

"Come up." Xiao Chong walked up to Shu Ning, squatted down, and gestured for her to come up.

"this……"

"Hurry up, we already set off late. If you keep going like this, we won't reach the Jiao Clan before dark," Xiao Chong urged.

Not wanting to delay their trip, Shu Ning had no choice but to climb onto his back.

"Thank you," Shu Ning said, blushing.

"Don't overthink it, I'm not trying to help you."

"I just want to finish this mission as soon as possible."

Get up and set off again.

A gust of wind blew through Xiao Chong's hair, revealing his slightly reddened ears.

Mo Li looked at them, her eyes flickering slightly, and remained silent throughout, simply leading the way.

Along the way, Shu Ning saw many wonders of this world.

The endless forests, the treeless mountains, and all sorts of birds and beasts were startled and scattered in all directions by their passing.

...

So beautiful!

Shu Ning looked at the surrounding scenery and sighed.

Shortly after they set off, Xuanlin spotted the group of orcs.

They were heading towards the Jiao Clan.

No matter how small the wolf pack moves, it won't escape his notice.

He saw what just happened.

When did they become so close?

This female isn't satisfied with having a new lover!

His eyes suddenly darkened, as if a layer of gloom had settled over them.

...

"When will we get there?" Shu Ning asked loudly in the wind.

Seeing that no one answered her, she asked again.

This time, however, she whispered it in Xiao Chong's ear.

Xiao Chong's silver-gray fur trembled slightly when she touched his ear.

"It'll be soon." Xiao Chong, who had traveled all over the country since he was a child, had also been to the Jiao Clan.

...

Mo Li, who was ahead, noticed their actions. Her dark blue eyes flickered slightly, her brows furrowed, and an indescribable irritation welled up in her heart.

After passing through the woods again, a vast expanse of azure sea came into view.

Scattered seashells dot the pale golden sand. A gentle breeze blows, and waves rise and fall, crashing against the rocks. From time to time, the cries of seagulls can be heard in the distance…

"So beautiful!" Shu Ning couldn't help but exclaim.

She jumped down and ran happily on the beach, dipping her feet into the cool, crystal-clear seawater.

This beautiful scene left the males speechless.

It would be better if she weren't so ugly.

Seeing Shu Ning being stared at by several males, Mo Li frowned slightly.

"Keep playing, it's getting dark." Xiao Chong's tone, though seemingly impatient, sounded somewhat indulgent.

"Okay, okay."

"Mo Li, what's our next step?" Shu Ning asked.

Upon hearing this, everyone looked at him.

"This is a breathing medicine. It allows you to breathe underwater, but its effects only last for three days."

After everyone took Mo Li's pills, they continued to follow Mo Li into the sea.

"That's amazing! How did they manage to do that?" Shu Ning exclaimed excitedly.

The group continued on their way, eventually disappearing into what appeared to be a very dangerous tsunami, which was actually the entrance to the territory of the Jiaolong clan.

Upon seeing Mo Li, two guards led them to the palace.

Before long, they arrived at the palace of the Jiaolong clan.

The palace of the Jiaolong clan stands in the deep sea, made entirely of crystal. The palace surface shimmers with a faint blue light, as if it were one with the seawater.

Huge coral pillars support the roof of the palace, and countless luminous pearls are inlaid on the pillars, emitting a soft light that illuminates the entire palace as if it were daytime.

The group was awestruck by the palace before them.

Shu Ning suddenly wondered if the things she brought were too cheap.

She looked at Mo Li beside her, embarrassed.

He was tall and slender, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, exuding an innate noble air in every gesture. His face was handsome as a painting, with a high nose bridge and slightly pursed lips; he was like a perfect statue, radiating an irresistible charm.

Under the illumination of the luminous pearl, the man appeared even more alluring, his demeanor perfectly befitting his status as the third prince of the Jiaolong clan.

Mo Li felt her gaze and frowned slightly: "What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry, Mo Li," Shu Ning said apologetically.

"Isn't what I prepared for you a bit too meager...?"

A glint of light flashed in his eyes, revealing a hint of surprise.

"It doesn't matter."

“Oh…” Shu Ning lowered her head.

"It's already very good."

"Really?" Hearing this, Shu Ning was encouraged by his words, her eyebrows lifted, and she secretly cheered herself up.

"You'll find out soon enough," Mo Li said calmly.
