Chapter 73 The Serpent Tribe
"How can I save them?"
"They'll start fighting tonight. All you need to do is persuade the leaders of both sides to stop."
"This method is good; it's the same principle as capturing the king first."
"Do you have any sales pitches?" Shu Ning asked.
...
Where is everyone? Hello?
Well, once again, she's been left to face this alone at a crucial moment.
Then I'll just have to do it myself.
She first opened the encyclopedia to look up information about the two tribal leaders.
Han She: Originally a male viper, venomous, the highest level of snake evolution, leader of the Viper Tribe, with a cold and aloof personality, orphaned, he wandered from place to place since childhood, often being attacked and surrounded by orcs from various tribes, thus longing to have his own tribe...
Yi Chuan: Originally a male reticulated python, the strongest in the python world, the leader of the viper tribe, with a cold exterior but a warm heart. He was an orphan and wandered from place to place since childhood, often being attacked and surrounded by beastmen from various tribes, thus longing to have his own tribe...
The rest is all the same; could it be that the author was too lazy to write and just copied and pasted?
Shu Ning couldn't help but complain.
She thought about how to get them to stop, what to do if they didn't listen to her, and what to do if only one side listened while the other didn't.
Will the two tribal chiefs listen to her?
Since her body hasn't fully recovered yet, teleportation will be the only option.
She opened the assistant to check:
Xuan Lin: 35 (Slightly favorable)
Xuanmo: 29 (No feeling)
Yiyuan: 55 (Favorability)
Mo Li: 43 (Favorability)
Jin Tong: 70 (Likes)
Werewolf Orc: 1.35 (No reaction)
Jiaolong Beastman: 0.58 (No effect)
Fox Clan Orc: 0.97 (No reaction)
Crimson Tiger Orc: 0.012 (No effect)
Viper Tribe Orcs: 0.011 (No effect)
Other orc races: None
Xiao Chong: Hide is temporarily unavailable.
“007, 007,” Shu Ning called out.
"What's up?"
"Shouldn't Jin Tong's favorability rating be less than 60?"
Shu Ning remembered that she used it once by the river and once again at the Ting tribe, which deducted a total of 12 points, so she probably didn't have 70 points left.
“He grew it himself,” 007 replied.
She hadn't expected this to happen; it seemed she'd have to thank him properly when she got back.
It seems that during the two days she was gone, he was the only one thinking about her.
Unexpectedly, other orc tribes gained favor with him.
But she doesn't have time to think about these things right now.
Since Jin Tong didn't lose affection points but instead gained them, let's stick with him.
Shu Ning propped herself up and went outside, where she saw a guard at the cave entrance.
"Hello, do you know where Yiyuan is?"
The guard frowned; he had never heard of this name before.
"I don't know," he said, shaking his head.
Let's leave him for now; the mission is more important.
"Do you know where they're fighting tonight?" Shu Ning asked again.
"The Serpent Tribe"
"Okay, thank you." Shu Ning said, and then tried to teleport.
Suddenly remembering something, she said to him, "I'm so bored here. When Yiyuan comes back to find me later, just tell him I was just wandering around the neighborhood."
She was worried that Yiyuan wouldn't be able to find her when he came back, so she gave him some instructions.
The guards were completely bewildered, wondering how their leader felt when the first thing the female he brought back asked about was another male after waking up.
Shu Ning found a secluded spot and used teleportation to move herself to the Serpent Tribe.
Only now could she see the surroundings of the Ting tribe's village clearly.
This place is located in the jungle at the bottom of the rift valley, surrounded by mist, and it is even more difficult to see where you are at night.
Tiny insects emitting a faint green glow crawled on the nearby rock walls, preventing her from bumping into them despite the mist.
Although Shu Ning is a wolf-type beastman with night vision, she still has difficulty seeing the road ahead when the fog is thick, so she has to rely on a lighter.
She turned on the light from the lighter, mustered her courage, took a deep breath, and walked forward.
She carefully walked forward in the direction of the fight.
After walking for a while, she heard the sound getting louder and louder.
But as the voice grew louder, she became increasingly unsure of herself.
Soon, she vaguely saw two different types of orcs fighting each other through the fog.
The scene was extremely bloody, with blood splattered everywhere. Some animals had their limbs severed, and their bodies lay on the ground. It was a gruesome sight.
Shu Ning was shocked by what she saw. Her legs went weak, her breathing became erratic, her eyes widened, and she unconsciously gripped the lighter tightly in her hand.
She was located at a corner of the entrance to the Serpent Tribe, where the two groups of orcs were fighting.
She was pondering how to meet the leaders of both sides.
Suddenly, the orcs from the Serpent Tribe, who were fighting, spotted her with sharp eyes.
He stared at her in shock. Wasn't that the chief's quasi-female?
He had previously secretly observed her with another orc.
Later, they disappeared for some unknown reason. The chief was furious and sent them to search everywhere, turning up almost every corner of the entire Serpent Tribe.
He rushed over, "What are you doing here? It's dangerous here. Come with me to see the leader."
He grabbed Shu Ning's hand and was about to leave, not even bothering with the novel gadget in her hand.
Shu Ning quickly realized what he meant.
He had no hostility towards her, and she happened to be going to see his leader anyway.
However, she doesn't yet know which side his leader belongs to.
Being pulled like that by him was taking a toll on her body.
Seeing that she was running so slowly, the orc simply picked her up and ran.
"Who is your leader?" she asked.
The orcs dared not call their leader by his name, so they did not reply.
Seeing that he didn't respond, Shu Ning asked again, "Which tribe are you from?"
"The snake."
“That works too,” Shu Ning said.
A while later, the orc led her into a cave, where she saw a male orc exuding a cold aura sitting on a stone table, deep in thought.
His head was covered with long, slightly curly, jet-black hair. His skin was so pale that you could vaguely see the blue veins beneath it. His features were deep-set, but his eyes were devoid of warmth, his gaze was cold and sinister, his thin lips were tightly closed, and his expression was world-weary, sending chills down your spine.
The man, who was concentrating on figuring out his next move, looked up and saw her. His eyes flickered slightly, and then he strode over to Shu Ning's side.
After the orc put him down, he said, "Chief, I found her at the entrance."
"Go down."
"Yes, Chief."
Shu Ning felt a chill run down her spine from his gaze.
"Um, hello, you must be Han She," she asked first.
"Where did you go?" he asked in an icy tone, as if even his breath was cold.
"007, 007, can he see my favorability rating?" Shu Ning was taken aback by his cold tone, afraid that he would kill her at any moment.
“30,” 007 replied, also worried that the host would be killed because of the side quest.
Shu Ning was shocked. She hadn't expected it to actually be possible, but it was even a little taller than Xuan Mo.
After hearing 007's answer, she no longer needed to be afraid.
The question is, how should she respond to him now?
How she escaped, and how she returned.
