Meng Lu didn't know when he fell asleep. When he woke up, it was already the next morning. He heard rustling sounds near the window.
Suddenly, Adrien stood up, startling her.
"Why are you still here?"
Then I saw the other person's aggrieved expression, "The snow outside is getting heavier, and there's a blizzard predicted. Can I stay here for a few more days?"
Meng Lu stood up and looked outside. It was all white. When he came here yesterday, he could still see colorful lights and pedestrians below, but now everything was white.
Forget it, just let him stay here for one night. Fortunately, she paid for several days' room fee at once.
After getting Meng Lu's consent, Adrian immediately opened the thermos box in his hand. "I bought this from outside at six o'clock in the morning before daybreak. It's still warm. Drink it while it's hot!"
Only then did Meng Lu notice what was on the table. There was not only hot porridge, but also a lot of food.
"Why did you buy so much food?"
"There's going to be a snowstorm in the next few days. We need to store some food. If the roads are blocked by heavy snow, we won't be able to get all the necessary items and food in. We can't last a week with just the supplies in the city, with all the tourists."
That’s right, he is still careful.
Meng Lu didn't think much about it. After all, there was food at home, and the phone showed that the snowstorm would only last for two or three days, so it wasn't serious.
After eating the porridge, at Adrian's strong request, Meng Lu had no choice but to follow him to the street to buy several winter clothes and some food.
Back at the hotel, Meng Yu, finally freed his hands, was a little angry. "You're making a big deal out of nothing! The phone said it was just a two- or three-day snowstorm. It's not going to happen forever. Why prepare so much? Besides, you grew up in the hot city of D and you're not familiar with the weather here."
Adrian looked solemnly at the snowy sky outside the window, his eyes becoming more profound. "You forget, I'm a bear. Sensitivity to cold weather is in my genes. I'm sure this blizzard will last for a long time."
Meng Lu also began to take his seriousness seriously.
"That's not enough."
She began to think seriously.
"A sleeping bag to protect against cold weather in case of a power outage; a portable cooking kit for both cooking and heating; a first aid kit; and a walkie-talkie."
"Oh, and more importantly, personal items, but I'll buy them myself!"
"Don't go. The snow is so thick outside, your clothes, shoes and socks will be soaked. I'll go buy some, but what exactly do you mean by personal items?"
"sanitary napkin."
Meng Qi said it directly. In her opinion, it was nothing, but for Adrian, this was the first time he bought such a private thing for a woman, and he felt a little shy unconsciously.
"Okay, that's all I can think of for now. If you see something useful in the store, feel free to buy it."
"Oh!" Adrian admired her fearlessness in the face of danger. Just like some of the females in their office building, they would spin around and scream in shock when they heard that the blizzard would last for a long time. Moreover, what she said were all things that would be needed later, and even he would not think so comprehensively at once.
After Adrian left, Meng Lu looked through the things in the system store again. The medicine section had a pretty comprehensive selection of medicines, so he wasn't worried.
Two hours later, the doorbell rang and Meng Lu immediately went to open the door. At this time, Adrian was almost covered by the snow like a snowman.
She immediately took the thing from the other person's hand.
Adrian sighed, "There are already a few people out there who have prepared things like us, but most people haven't realized this yet."
As soon as he finished speaking, the TV was broadcasting the forecast for the next few days, saying that there would be a long snowstorm, and even the mobile phone was notified.
In less than a minute, they could clearly feel the commotion outside.
Everyone rushed out to buy supplies.
Meng Lu drank hot tea and stood by the window, looking at the situation outside. "Fortunately, we made some preparations in advance."
Suddenly, the light flashed rapidly, and Meng Lu suddenly realized something. No wonder he always felt like something was missing. "Adrian, we forgot to prepare a large-capacity power bank. How boring it would be if the phone ran out of battery!"
"This...I'll go down and buy it right away."
Meng Qi thought that with so many people below, it would be impossible to grab it if she went now, but Adrian was very fast and she had no time to stop him.
It was already past noon, and Meng Lu was thinking of going downstairs to buy some food first, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw Adrian coming back in the corridor.
She immediately ran over to ask, "How is it? Are you cold?"
Adrian shook his head. "It's okay, but I only managed to grab a power bank. My hands were scratched. Oh, and there's something else."
Then he took out the food he had bought from his pocket and said, "I knew you must be hungry and it's so cold outside, so I bought it all for you."
Meng Yu was somewhat touched by this and immediately took his hand, "Your hands are so cold, come back with me and warm them up."
Looking at the two people holding hands, Adrian gained a lot of confidence and shook hands with them in return.
Meng Lu was only worried at the moment and didn't notice anything else. He quickly asked him to take off his wet clothes and then charged the power bank just in case.
She went to the hotel front desk and asked for two quilts, giving one to Adrian. The two of them lay on the bed and the sofa respectively, watching the news on TV.
There were some tourists who were on a self-driving tour and wanted to leave before the snow blocked the road, but for safety reasons, many people were sent to stop them. The sky was also controlled and all flying cars were prohibited from flying overhead.
