After Lian and the flying orc listened carefully, they nodded to show that they understood.
After Meng Yuqing and Xuan left, Lian also walked out of the shed to pick some tender grass and catch some insects for the chicks to eat.
He thought about what plants the birds and beasts outside were eating, and he wanted to bring some back.
As a result, just as he walked out of the shed and was about to transform into a beast, he heard a chaotic chirping sound behind him.
Lian looked back and saw that these little creatures had actually followed him out, and a few stronger ones had already walked to his feet.
There were a few more behind him, staggering towards him.
Once the chain was tied, he didn't dare move for fear of stepping on them. He bent down with his hands open and drove the chicks into the shed.
As he moved, he kept saying, "Go back, go back to the shed, don't let the wild animals take you away."
The flying orc incubating duck eggs heard the noise and stretched his neck to look outside.
"What happened to the chain?"
"These cackling beasties have been following me all the time, and it's hard for me to go out and find food for them." Lian squatted down and pushed the chicks away. Before he withdrew his hand, the chicks stuck to him again.
Hearing what Lian said, the flying orc who was hatching the duck eggs also showed a sad expression. He took a look at the eggs he was hatching. He thought that these quacking beasts would not be like this when they came out.
But these two animals are so different from other wild beasts. They are so small and pitiful, and they are very close to humans. Are they domestic animals?
The chain was still in the shed, battling wits and courage with the chicks outside. As the chicks increased, he discovered with horror that all the chicks in the shed had come out! They had completely surrounded him!
He squatted on the ground, at a loss. These little gadgets were too small and too weak. He felt that he could kill them with just a casual touch, but he had to keep these little gadgets.
It would be better to let him hunt big beasts than deal with these little gadgets!
The flying orc hatching the duck eggs was almost going crazy looking at the chain outside. After thinking for a moment, he began to speak, "Why don't you take them for a walk around here and let them find some food on their own? I saw them with their heads down pecking at something on the ground. They might be eating."
After hearing what he said, Lian reached out and grabbed a chick that was pecking the ground the most vigorously.
The chick was not afraid when he caught it, and even pecked the hand holding the chain angrily because the chain disturbed it from eating.
"Tsk, this little thing may not be big, but it has quite a temper."
As he said this, he reached out to the chicken's chest and stomach, and he let out a soft "eh".
"What's wrong? Chain?" The flying orc incubating duck eggs stretched his neck again to look at Chain.
"They actually found some food here on their own. I felt their bellies were bulging."
The little chick became even angrier when he saw that Chain not only didn't let him eat, but also touched everything.
He pecked the chain hard a few more times.
The chain flicked its beak lightly, took the chick under its nose and sniffed it, muttering to itself, "Little cub, I'll remember you. You dare to peck me."
Lian snorted and chuckled, releasing a little of the fierce aura of a hunter.
He remembered Meng Yuqing saying that livestock were timid, so he asked them to restrain their breathing. It would be okay if they were just scared, but it would be a big loss if they were scared to death.
So he only released a little bit, and the chick was instantly scared and dared not move, and nestled obediently in his hand.
Only then did Lian nod with satisfaction. That was right. How could he, a grown orc, let himself be bullied by such a little thing?
"Well, Lian, stop laughing and look around you." The orc who was hatching duck eggs spoke again.
Lian was stunned by what he said, "What's wrong?"
Is the beast coming? He didn't feel it.
He put the chick on the ground and was about to ask it in detail, when suddenly he stopped.
The little chicks that were originally circling around him now ran away in all directions with their short legs.
There were also a few weaker chicks that were so scared that they fell to the ground with their eyes rolled back, and it looked like they were about to die.
!!!
"Don't run around! Don't die!" Lian shouted madly.
He picked up the ones that fell on the ground, poked them gently, and ran towards the orc who was hatching duck eggs.
"Help me watch them. I'll go catch the ones that got away!"
He really didn't expect that he just wanted to scare the chick that was pecking at his hand, but ended up scaring away the other chicks.
The orc incubating the eggs watched as Lian placed the frightened chicks in front of him. Then Lian rushed to a corner of the shed, took out a large bamboo basket, and started chasing the chicks that were running around.
He raised his wings and covered his eyes. After all, he was still too young.
That day the breeding area was filled with the crazy shouting of chain.
As for how the chain caught the escaped chicks one by one, Meng Yuqing and Xuan had no idea.
After Xuan and Meng Yuqing left the breeding area, they walked towards the residential area. Xuan had been busy building a house these days, and he didn't go to build a house today because he wanted to see the situation in the Shuilin tribe.
Meng Yuqing always felt that he had forgotten something and frowned all the way. Xuan had turned into a beast and was carrying him on his back, so he didn't see his expression.
Halfway through the journey back, Meng Yuqing suddenly remembered that he had forgotten something.
He hurriedly called out to Xuan, "The Stonehorse Tribe has been here for several days. Is there any news from the Mountain Stream Tribe?"
He was quite worried about the fawn. Judging from the time, the fawn should be over one year old now.
I don’t know if it can transform into a human form now, or if it is injured. Such a small cub has no claws, and I don’t know if it can hold on to Che firmly when avoiding the earthquake.
"Yes, they are doing well. After our people noticed something was wrong and told them, Che took them away without even caring whether it was night or not. However, there are indeed too many mountains where they are, so they can only find an open place to stay.
