When Xie Yuyao and the other two arrived at the reed marshes, they saw several finger-sized fish swimming around in the water. The two of them used a fishing net to catch quite a few small fish.
"Are there any big fish in this river?" Xie Yuyao looked at the fish in the basin, a little unsatisfied. These small fish were troublesome to deal with, and with so many people in the educated youth team, there weren't even enough to fill their teeth.
Yang Shumei has been here for two years and knows this river very well. "There are some, but most of them are in deep water and are difficult to catch."
"I'll get a fishing rod and go fishing another day." Xie Yuyao looked at the river and suddenly had a flash of inspiration. Could the spiritual spring water attract fish?
I'm not guessing anymore, I'll just try it out.
She reached into the water and subtly drew out the spiritual spring water. The small fish nearby gathered around. It worked!
"Quick, so many small fish!" Yang Shumei excitedly raised her net.
"Wait and see if there are any big fish."
But after more than ten seconds, there was still no sign of the big fish, and the small fish seemed to be scattering.
Ren Fei didn't wait any longer; she cast her net wide and reaped a bountiful harvest.
Xie Yuyao squatted by the water's edge, looking at the river. It seemed that the spiritual spring water had been diluted and dispersed. Was there any way to preserve it for a longer period of time?
She looked around, unsure if the reed leaves would be of any use.
"I'll pick some reeds and put them in the net to camouflage it, then go into the water to look for bigger fish."
Withered reeds were stacked into a net bag. Xie Yuyao rolled up her trousers, picked up the net bag, and slowly stepped into the water.
After the water level reached her knees, she turned her back to Yang Shumei, used the spring water to wet the reed leaves, and put them into the water after a few seconds.
Here they come! Several large fish, weighing around four pounds each, swam towards them. Yang Shumei and Ren Fei exclaimed, "There are fish on the right, and on the left too!"
Xie Yuyao frantically waved her net, but the fish were too agile, and she didn't catch a single one.
"I'll do it!" Yang Shumei quickly rolled up her trousers and ran over. She took the fishing net, aimed, and scooped it up quickly.
"I got it! I got it!" Xie Yuyao shouted, as excited as a child.
She took the net and said, "I'll put it back in the bucket." She quickly carried the fish ashore.
Ren Fei, who was on the shore, rolled up her trousers, picked up a bucket, and went into the water to meet her.
Xie Yuyao poured the large fish into the bucket, pretended to adjust the reeds in the net, poured in the spiritual spring water again, and went to Yang Shumei's side with Ren Fei.
After catching another big fish, the three of them burst into laughter with excitement.

A hundred meters downstream, Zhao Jianbin, who was fishing in the river, heard the sound, straightened up and looked. He rarely saw Yang Zhiqing so happy, and couldn't help but smile.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw two familiar faces arrive at the riverbank. He turned and called out, "Brother, Li Zhiqing, are you here to catch fish too?"
Li Weidong smiled and nodded. "Let's see how our luck is."
Zhao Honghui is Zhao Jianbin's cousin. The two brothers are three years apart and have been close since childhood.
He had just gone home and packed a few kilograms of rice he had just bought to take to the educated youth compound. In those days, food was scarce, and he didn't have much of a relationship with the educated youth, so he couldn't just eat for free.
Li Weidong declined a few times, but then accepted the gift and instructed Jiang Yan and Bei Xiao, who were in charge of cooking, to make rice for dinner.
Standing by the door of the main room, Zhao Honghui glanced around and saw a coal stove in the corner of the kitchen, where a large soup pot was being heated. He said, "Having a stove will make things much more convenient."
"Yes, but Xie Yuyao bought it privately and only uses it to boil water."
While tending the fire, Bei Xiao took the opportunity to slander: "Comrade Zhao, you have no idea how pampered she is. She has to boil water to bathe every day, and we even bought a coal stove for her. What a waste!"
Zhao Honghui's heart skipped a beat. "Did she bring her back yesterday evening?"
"Yes! How did you know?" Bei Xiao looked at him with a puzzled and suspicious expression.
"I ran into her yesterday." Zhao Honghui lowered his eyes in thought. When she returned to the brigade yesterday, her basket didn't look heavy, not like she was carrying an iron furnace. Was she strong, or was there something else going on?
Is she there?
Wu Lihong, who was knitting a sweater, casually said, "She and Yang Shumei went fishing."
"How about we go fishing too?" Zhao Honghui's purpose for this trip was to see Xie Yuyao, so he suggested going to the riverbank.
Li Weidong looked at him meaningfully and smiled, "Okay, I'll go get a bucket."
A beautiful and graceful lady is the object of a gentleman's affections.
And so, Zhao Honghui and Li Weidong also arrived at the riverbank.

Looking at Xie Yuyao's side, she put the fifth fish into the bucket, which was already packed full of large fish. "That's enough, there's no room for any more."
"Let's go back then, today's harvest has been really bountiful!" Yang Shumei put away her net, smiling broadly.
Xie Yuyao grabbed the handle of the bucket and carried it back to shore with Ren Fei.
As I turned around, I stopped abruptly. Wait, what's that?
On the left side of the river, a huge crocodile covered in thick scales was swimming rapidly toward them, its dark yellow eyes gleaming with a chilling light.
"There's a crocodile! Run!" Xie Yuyao shouted urgently. The three of them hurriedly ran to the shore. Looking back, they saw a shadow drifting over in the distance. The crocodile's head emerged from the water, with large, yellowish-brown horny protrusions, making it look ferocious.
Yang Shumei was so frightened that her legs went weak, and after running a few steps, she lost her balance and fell into the water.
Xie Yuyao and Ren Fei quickly helped her up, but by then the crocodile was already close in.
"You guys run first!" Her face was cold as she emptied the bucket of fish, using it as a weapon, and cautiously watched the crocodile as she slowly retreated.
She summoned this crocodile, so it absolutely cannot harm anyone. If the bucket can't stop the crocodile's attack, she'll have to use her spatial weapons.
Yang Shumei and Ren Fei, who were standing nearby, had no weapons and knew that staying would be useless. They shouted and ran towards the shore, trying to find weapons: "Help! There are crocodiles!"
