Chapter 8 She's Lying



"Well, never mind, he'll go back by himself." Zhao Honghui glanced at Xie Yuyao's basket and said without any emotion, "Is it heavy? Do you want me to help you carry it?"

Xie Yuyao thought for a moment, "Thank you, but no need, I can carry it."

Once it's in his hands, the coal stove and coal briquettes can no longer be used.

Zhao Honghui didn't insist. He slowed his pace and walked to the side, making small talk casually: "My name is Zhao Honghui. Are you settling in well?"

Zhao Honghui pretended to turn around casually, and what he saw was her bending over, seemingly sorting out the supplies in her basket. Was there anything she was sorting out even though she was almost home?

Once the seed of doubt is planted, it can grow into a towering tree with just a little bit of sweet dew.

Unaware of the danger, Xie Yuyao looked up at the tall figure in the distance and realized she had passed the test!

Back at the youth compound, everyone was there. When they saw that Xie Yuyao had bought a coal stove, they were all envious and looked at it as if it were a precious treasure.

Chen Kai helped carry the coal stove out. "Shall we put it in the kitchen?"

"Hmm." Xie Yuyao had just finished speaking when she heard the voices of the other educated youths beside her.

“I also use a coal stove at home, which is much more convenient than a traditional earthen stove, but coal is scarce and we often don’t have enough.”

"My family is the same; we have to use it in conjunction with an earthen stove."

A discordant, shrill voice rang out: "Xie Yuyao, what do you mean by this? Are you trying to break up the partnership?"
