The crocodile was badly injured and tried to turn around and escape.
Zhao Honghui wasn't about to let it escape. He seized the opportunity and stabbed the crocodile with his harpoon, ruining its other eye as well.
The crocodile, blind in both eyes, rampaged wildly on the shore.
Zhao Jianbin swung a bucket at the crocodile's head, his heart filled with fear and rage at the thought that Yang Shumei had almost been bitten.
Xie Yuyao chased after the crocodile's head, smashing it repeatedly with a wooden bucket, yelling, "You dare chase me! You dare bite me! I'll smash you to death!"
She kept cursing, venting all the fear and anxiety she had just felt.
Zhao Honghui retreated to the outer perimeter, leaving an open space for Xie Yuyao to vent her anger. Ren Fei also stepped back a few paces to stand guard with him and prevent the crocodiles from escaping.
When other members of the community arrived, they witnessed a man and a woman violently smashing a crocodile.
By the time they approached, the crocodile had already been killed, and the severe injuries to its eyes were undoubtedly Zhao Honghui's doing.
Li Weidong, who arrived with them, looked panicked and asked with concern if the three female educated youths were injured.
Seeing that the three were unharmed, the other members of the community gathered around the crocodile that had already been killed, pointing and whispering.

Yang Shumei trembled, feeling both cold and terrified. That fall was incredibly dangerous; if Xie Yuyao and Ren Fei hadn't pulled her up, she might have perished in the crocodile's mouth.
Xie Yuyao, however, repeatedly comforted her, feeling deeply remorseful. She hadn't expected the spiritual spring water to have such a side effect; she had been so careless.

Zhao Jianbin scratched the back of his head with his right hand and said with a simple smile, "No need to thank me, it's good that you're alright."
Seeing him caress her like that, Xie Yuyao's lips curled up slightly. She shifted her gaze and inadvertently met Zhao Honghui's eyes.
"You did a great job!" Zhao Honghui looked at the girl in front of him with complicated emotions and rarely gave her a word of praise.
For some reason, Xie Yuyao felt a sweet sensation in her heart, as if she had eaten candy.

At this moment, several men who arrived later stared wide-eyed at Xie Yuyao and her two companions with lewd glints in their eyes.

The three female educated youths, hand in hand, lagged behind, following Zhao Honghui and the other two, and walked together toward the educated youth compound.

Inside the educated youth compound, the food was ready, and Wu Lihong was wiping the table with a rag. "Why haven't they come back yet?"
Bei Xiao said with dissatisfaction, "It's almost dark, I wonder where they've run off to."

The other educated youths heard this and went to the courtyard gate to see. Sure enough, quite a few people came over and were carrying something.
Several educated youths went up to take a look and found that it was a crocodile, which was estimated to be more than 4 meters long. It was huge!
From their brief conversation, they learned that the crocodile had attacked three female educated youths, but instead of harming them, it was beaten to death.
Wu Lihong hurriedly asked where they were. When she saw Xie Yuyao and the other two who were lagging behind, she quickly ran over and learned that they were not injured. Only then did she feel relieved.
In the courtyard of the educated youth settlement, the villagers put the crocodile down. Li Weidong and Zhao Honghui whispered a few words to each other, then shouted, "Thank you all comrades for saving our educated youth! We'll dissect the crocodile, cook it, and everyone can eat the meat together!"

The social workers and the educated youth were not familiar with each other, and because of their inherent differences in stance, they looked down on each other. Unexpectedly, these educated youth were quite generous. This was a rare find!
They went back and forth, and several of them carried the crocodile to the well to draw water and wash it.
