Chapter 32 Husband

Chapter 32 Husband

Yu Wanyin moved closer. "What's your plan this time? Won't they realize you've gone the wrong way?"

A-Zheng pursed her lips. "It's okay, I can get away with it. They believe me now."

Although the Hu people were unfamiliar with the terrain, they were not so easily fooled.

If things go wrong, none of them will get out, and they might even lose A-Zheng, who came to rescue her.

Yu Wanyin shook her head, "I just saw that they gave you the compass."

"yes."

The compass was only used in the Central Plains. "When the Hu people entered the Central Plains, they should have just started using the compass. They were not familiar with it, but they knew that it could indicate the direction."

As Yu Wanyin spoke, she took out her purse.

They took out the compass they used for navigation from their pouch.

Remove the magnetic needle from the top. "Here, take this."

Yu Wanyin explained, "The compass spoon will malfunction due to the influence of the magnetic needle, so the compass will be at your mercy."

“If you point it in the direction we should go, they won’t doubt it.”

Ah Zheng suddenly realized, and chuckled, "I understand, Madam, don't worry."

As Qing Song listened to their back-and-forth conversation, which seemed quite familiar, she gradually lowered her guard.

But he still kept a wary eye on A-Zheng.

Yu Wanyin paused for a moment, then remembered something important, "By the way, who will take care of Grandma now that you've come looking for us?"

Ah Zheng's smile gradually faded, and she silently took a bite of her steamed bun.

She quickly forced a smile and said, "Grandma is gone."

Yu Wanyin suddenly fell silent.

Judging from Ah Zheng's reaction, she knew that "he left" probably didn't mean it literally.

Yu Wanyin moved her lips slightly, "I'm sorry."

Sensing the unusual atmosphere, A-Zheng immediately spoke up, "No..."

She stopped Yu Wanyin, "No need."

"I'm fine."

A-Zheng said a few words, then fell silent.

She sighed deeply, "Grandma had severe heart disease. She had suffered terribly from the illness all these years. It's a relief for her to pass away."

“The doctor said Grandma is lucky,” Azheng laughed again, “At this critical moment, she doesn’t have to go through the chaos of war, otherwise the old lady wouldn’t be able to withstand the ordeal.”

A-Zheng's smile was stiff, and her eyelids quickly drooped.

A-Zheng remained silent.

The car was so quiet that only their very soft breathing could be heard.

She calmly and quickly ate her food without saying a word.

Yu Wanyin reached out and grasped Azheng's scarred hand.

A-Zheng gently patted Yu Wanyin's hand, "Actually, I know everything, I just can't bear to part with it."

The Hu people outside started calling to her.

Ah Zheng immediately raised her voice and replied.

She got up. "I didn't use up all the things the lady gave me. I pawned them when I was preparing for my escape."

“From now on, Ah Zheng will follow Madam’s lead.”

After Ah Zheng finished speaking, she put on a smiling face and got off the carriage. "Did the official call me?"

The Hu people outside questioned her, "Why did it take so long?"

"The official told me to keep an eye on them; I thought I'd have to watch them for a while."

The Hu people were skeptical, but seeing that the three of them combined were not even as big as one Hu person, they thought that even if there was something wrong with them, it was nothing to be afraid of.

The carriage was quiet for a while.

Qing Songcai asked softly, "Who is she...?"

Yu Wanyin explained, "There was a heavy rain in the mountains earlier, so I stayed overnight at her house."

Qing Song remembered that there was such a thing and nodded.

Yu Wanyin sighed.

In times of war and chaos, suffering is the norm.

The Hu people rested in the cool of the mountains and forests for more than an hour before setting off at 3:45 PM.

Azheng sat on the horse in front, holding a compass in her hands as she led the way.

Below the compass was the magnetic needle given to him by Yu Wanyin.

The Hu people were not foolish enough to let her lead the way.

Instead, they stood on either side of her, watching her intently.

The Hu general glanced at the compass in front of her from time to time.

Ah Zheng hid the magnetic needle in her palm and moved it slowly as the direction changed.

The compass rotates accordingly.

They walked for an hour or two until the sun began to set.

After traversing a mountain path, A-Zheng's eyebrows twitched slightly. She moved the magnetic needle and steered her horse in another direction.

The Hu general, as he walked, suddenly realized something was wrong. "Wait!"

Ah Zheng stopped, feigning calmness, and turned to look at him. "Sir, shall we rest?"

The Hu general stared at her for a while, then walked towards her.

As the distance closes, so does the sense of oppression.

He walked up to her, looking down at the compass in her hand. "Is it this way?"

"Yes, I'm familiar with this place."

The Hu general scrutinized her expression, pondered for a moment, and said, "But I passed through here before I came."

He said quietly, "It doesn't seem like this road."

This place was completely unfamiliar to him.

“Perhaps it’s the main road you’ve been on.” A-Zheng wasn’t worried. “This road is shorter; I often take this route.”

"No need, let's take the main road."

They had been ambushed many times, and even the slightest unusual occurrence could alert this general.

"Alright," Ah Zheng agreed, and had no choice but to bite the bullet and find a so-called main road.

It was slightly off the location of Rongsi Anzha's camp.

A-Zheng's lips were taut, but she couldn't be too forceful or obvious.

Once this is exposed, none of them will escape.

The Hu general standing nearby, clearly intrigued by the earlier anomaly, began to scrutinize the young man who had suddenly appeared there.

“You live here, but I don’t see any houses here.”

Ah Zheng keenly sensed his probing, "I don't live here, I live at the foot of the mountain to the south."

"We make a living by collecting herbs in the mountains, so we're always on mountain roads."

"Once we finish digging on this side of the mountain, we'll go dig on the other side."

"Gathering herbs." The man glanced at the calluses and marks on her hands from years of farming, and began to believe her somewhat.

He traveled slowly, but still felt that there seemed to be something wrong with the direction he was going.

But every time she checked Si Nan's location, she was on the right track.

They said they were taking the main road, but it didn't seem like the main road they had traveled before.

There were still no familiar mountain views around him.

The Hu general frowned more and more, glancing around at the terrain more and more frequently.

Make sure you've been there before you came.

Just as Azheng was trying to change the route again, the Hu general suddenly spoke up, "Stop and rest for half an hour before continuing."

A-Zheng frowned slightly. "After we get past this hill, there are some safer places ahead."

“What’s safe for you may not be safe for us.” The man glanced at her, dismounted, and gave a whistle as a signal.

The entire group stopped.

As darkness fell, the Hu generals became increasingly cautious about their route.

He felt that something was not quite right.

The man beckoned to his subordinate beside him.

Immediately, soldiers stepped forward to receive the orders.

The man turned his head and whispered to his subordinate, pointing to the path Ah Zheng was leading, "Go this way and see if there are any traces of our previous camp."

“If there isn’t one… then the kid led us astray. “Take another look around to see if there are any ambushes, and who sent her.”

The man narrowed his eyes, watching Ah Zheng's retreating figure. "I will meet you on the road ahead in an hour."

“If she really lied, execute her on the spot.”

The subordinate received the order, glanced at A-Zheng over there, and set off to scout the way.

After a break from their journey, the troops were exhausted and weary.

It was just past 7 PM, and the daytime heat had not yet dissipated.

During these two quarters of an hour, some soldiers took off their clothes and bathed and washed themselves in the nearby stream.

Qing Song didn't know why she had stopped while rushing along the road.

The sudden stop of the journey made the two people in the car nervous.

There were still some men laughing and joking outside.

Qingsong wanted to lift the curtain to check the situation.

Upon opening the lid, one could see the Hu people outside who had taken off their clothes.

Qing Song was so frightened that she immediately let go.

Yu Wanyin's lips were taut.

Even through the curtain, you could still hear the sounds of them taking off their clothes and getting into the water.

Perhaps knowing there were women present, they deliberately made a loud noise so that the women could hear them.

This is a different kind of teasing.

Several men in the stream were watching the carriage and horses, making jokes.

After all, the beauty we captured today is simply irresistible.

The lieutenant sat by the stream, thinking of that supple body, which even the cold water could not soothe.

They marched year-round, surrounded by men, and would go a year or two without encountering a woman.

You can't touch someone you suddenly grab.

The deputy general felt increasingly frustrated.

I really don't understand what they're afraid of; it's not like she's never been married before.

Moreover, the monarch initially captured her to threaten Chu Yu, but Chu Yu is already dead, so the monarch's purpose in capturing her is gone.

Even if someone is killed, what difference does it make if they say it was an accident during the pursuit?

What kind of prisoner is treated like a queen?

Soon the whistle blew in the army.

The men in the stream came out, changed their clothes, and regrouped.

After the lieutenant got ashore and settled himself, he unconsciously looked at the carriage.

The soldiers driving the chariots have just returned and are ready to set off.

He stepped forward, slipped some silver to the soldier, and gestured towards the carriage with his eyes.

The soldier understood what he meant, hesitated, and said with a hint of fear, "Lieutenant General..."

"If you can't touch that lady, can't you at least touch the maid?" The lieutenant glanced at him. "I'm done playing with you, the rest is yours."

The soldier hesitated this time.

The lieutenant, adopting a commanding air, asked impatiently, "Can it be done?"

"Yes," the soldier said in a low voice, "I can do it."

The lieutenant patted him on the shoulder and then leaned into the car!

A burly man suddenly squeezed into the car, making the previously spacious interior feel cramped.

Yu Wanyin and Qing Song were startled for a moment and quickly moved back, trying to avoid the man who had suddenly barged in.

The carriage swayed for a moment before being brought to a stop by the soldiers in front.

The team had just set off, so this disturbance didn't attract much attention.

Qing Song was both surprised and frightened, especially since it was completely dark at the time and his entrance almost blocked out all the light.

The already pitch-black carriage became even darker!

Qing Song pulled Yu Wanyin behind him and asked, forcing a smile, "What are you going to do..."

Qing Song had barely uttered a word when the man dragged her over and slapped her on the back of the neck!

He knocked her unconscious.

Yu Wanyin subconsciously called out to her, but the man made a shushing gesture, "Madam, please be quiet."

“If you dare to make a fuss, I’ll throw her out and give her to my brothers.”

Yu Wanyin's voice was stuck in her throat, and her hands, which had been holding the hairpin, trembled slightly as she didn't dare to put it down.

Seeing that she remained silent, he smiled and tossed the unconscious Qing Song aside.

The burly man leaned towards Yu Wanyin on the inside of the carriage, saying, "Don't be afraid..."

Yu Wanyin quickly moved back, creating distance between herself and him. "You, this is your general's carriage. How dare you be in his carriage..."

The lieutenant laughed after hearing this. "What, do you want me to call him over?"

He watched as she fell silent, frightened by his ramblings, and rolled up his sleeves with satisfaction.

The carriage had been occupied by her for so long that it was filled with the subtle fragrance of lily of the valley, which became clearer the closer one got to her.

The man swallowed hard, his eyes filled with the tender, juicy skin that looked as if it could be pinched to release moisture, but unfortunately, most of it was covered by clothes.

Her body rose and fell with her rapid, frantic breathing, revealing a beautiful curve that made one want to tear off her clothes and savor her fragrance.

His heart burned with desire at the sight, and without thinking, he pounced on her!

The carriage was not very spacious to begin with, and Yu Wanyin was caught off guard and grabbed by the sleeve, which was pulled with great force!

Just as Yu Wanyin was about to scream, he suddenly covered her mouth!

He chuckled, "Beautiful lady, don't make a sound. It's just me tonight, so don't be afraid. Keep your voice down."

"If you raise your voice, there are men outside. Every single one of them will be unable to resist wanting to be your husband for the night. Aren't you afraid your small body will be ruined?"

Yu Wanyin bit his hand between the thumb and forefinger!

The sharp teeth drew blood immediately, and the sudden pain forced the man to let go.

He looked at his wound with a grim face, "You little bitch, you won't listen to a polite offer..."

Yu Wanyin broke free, and immediately pointed the hairpin at her neck. "So your generals really didn't know you trespassed?"

Her hair and clothes became disheveled from the pulling, and a wisp of hair clung to her rosy lips, a sight that aroused a lust in men.

Upon seeing her action, the lieutenant had no choice but to stop.

Even if a person really dies, it's still hard to explain.

He raised his hand to signal, "Don't get excited..."

Yu Wanyin stared intently at him, "You sneaked into his carriage without permission, avoiding your generals, to do such a thing. He must have given you permission."

She reacted quickly, "Otherwise, you would have all come in together from the beginning."

"You're telling us not to make a sound because you're afraid he'll find out if we do!"

The lieutenant's face turned ugly, and he could no longer manage a smile.

He thought he had gotten away with it, but how could she, a prisoner locked in a car, possibly figure it out?

Yu Wanyin wasn't entirely sure of her guess, but judging from his reaction, she thought she was right.

She warned, "Get out of here right now! Leave this place!"

"Otherwise, I'll call someone to let your commander know that you've violated military orders."

Although she did not understand how the Hu people's military orders were.

However, in the Central Plains, violating military orders has always been punished with the death penalty.

The lieutenant stared intently at her; how could he possibly let such a prize slip away if word got out?

He, a general commanding thousands of troops, was scared off by a woman; he felt ashamed to even tell the story.

Yu Wanyin urged sharply, "Get out!"

Her voice was noticeably louder.

The lieutenant gritted his teeth, hesitated for a moment, and then smiled. "Alright, I'll go out."

He made a move to get up.

Yu Wanyin stared intently at his figure, watching him get up and walk out.

However, just as she was about to breathe a sigh of relief, the man suddenly turned around and slashed at her neck with his palm.

Judging from their posture, they were going to knock her unconscious.

Yu Wanyin hurriedly dodged and called out for help.

The word "save" had barely left his lips when the man covered his mouth and nose from behind, stopping him!

The procession had already traveled some distance outside the carriage, and the soldier driving it wondered what was happening inside, as it was so quiet.

This unusual behavior made him occasionally turn around to steal glances at the movements of the carriages and horses.

The atmosphere ahead was equally strange.

After setting off, Azheng could feel sharp scrutiny coming from her side from time to time.

This examination is different from the previous ones.

It carried a hint of danger and menace.

A-Zheng remembered that this general's confidant had just left the ranks, and he hadn't returned even after the troops set off.

Her intuition told her that this person's departure was related to her.

However, this place is still a long way from Rong Si's camp.

If they had followed the shortcut she took, they should have arrived quickly, but unfortunately the Hu people noticed something was amiss.

Now, the further we go, the further we get from them.

I fear that they will find her before they even reach Rong Si's camp.

Ah Zheng gently bit her lip, her mind no longer on guiding the way.

The darker the sky, the cooler the mountain breeze.

Suddenly a gust of wind blew by, swirling up withered branches and leaves on the ground, making a creaking, broken sound.

Dust came flying in, like tiny, sharp blades scraping against your face, making it difficult to move forward.

The team had to slow down.

Suddenly, the sound of horses' hooves came from the pitch-black road ahead.

The Hu general squinted and looked closely, and sure enough, he saw that it was the follower he had sent out who had returned.

His gaze fell on his attendant who had returned with the news and on the little boy beside him.

He reached out and grasped his waist knife.

Once it's confirmed that this little rascal has truly led them down the wrong path.

They just chopped off her head!

As the figure approached, the Hu general was about to step forward when his expression suddenly turned ugly.

Behind his messenger, in the pitch-black forest.

Without warning, layers of torches appeared.

And countless dark figures.

Having marched for many years, he couldn't possibly be unaware that this was an ambush!

The wind began to blow.

Ah Zheng took a good look at the surroundings, her eyes lit up, and she waved to them.

The messenger was less there to deliver a message and more to escape, shouting, "Retreat! There's an ambush!"

He didn't even get close to them before the arrow shot him straight off his horse!

The Hu general was horrified and immediately drew his sword, pressing it against the back of Azheng's neck!

Before he could utter any threats, another sharp arrow came straight at his brow!

A group of dark figures approached menacingly, gathering from all directions!

In the rear of the procession, the man inside the carriage easily grabbed Yu Wanyin and dragged her beneath him!

The carriage jolted and lurched, and he sneered, "Fine, go ahead and scream, let's see what you can still do..."

Before he could finish speaking, a muffled sound of a sharp weapon piercing flesh echoed in the carriage.

The man suddenly opened his eyes wide, staring incredulously at the person being pinned beneath him.

The hairpin she had initially aimed at his neck was now stuck in his throat!

The pain in his throat instantly caused him to lose the ability to breathe.

Yu Wanyin pulled it out again and then thrust it in once more!

Fresh blood gushed out from the heart vein in his neck, choking him and getting into his mouth and nose!

The liquid flowed down her hand, which was tightly gripping the hairpin, and soaked her plain-colored sleeves.

Yu Wanyin's fingers trembled uncontrollably.

Even so, the man was much stronger than her.

The lieutenant's face turned ferocious and terrifying. He reached out and grabbed her wrist, attempting to snatch the hairpin and retaliate!

Almost simultaneously, a commotion arose outside, followed by a tremendous tremor that shook the earth from beneath one's feet!

It felt as if something was sweeping over us from all directions.

The world is full of unpredictable waves and ethereal clouds.

Most of the Hu people were caught off guard and grabbed their weapons, only to find that the enemy's forces were quite large and were surging in with overwhelming force.

The soldier outside the carriage hurriedly lifted the curtain, "Lieutenant General!"

He stared at the scene of blood all over the car and ran away in a panic!

The man was stunned for a moment after being called out. Yu Wanyin pulled out her hairpin again, casually overturned the table next to her, and smashed it down on him with all her might.

He lost his strength and had to let go in an attempt to dodge.

His pupils became increasingly unfocused, and he staggered.

Yu Wanyin didn't know what she was doing; she just kept smashing him, smashing him with all her might.

With a loud crash, the man fell off the train carriage!

Yu Wanyin was still in shock, sitting there blankly, her clothes stained with blood and torn, looking as pitiful as a delicate white porcelain flower that had been bullied and shattered.

With her view unobstructed, she saw that the situation outside was at a standstill.

From her perspective, she could see that the Hu people were holding weapons and ready to fight, while a dark mass surrounded them!

The situation is dire; a single command could trigger an immediate battle.

Even the death of one of her deputy generals was something no one had time to pay attention to.

The only person Yu Wanyin could think of who could rival the Hu people was Chu Yu.

A-Zheng also said she would bring her to see Chu Yu.

The fear and grievance from just now were still overwhelming when she thought of that person.

He was, after all, the first man to have sheltered and cherished her.

Yu Wanyin felt a lump in her throat from feeling wronged. Without thinking, she leaned out of the carriage and cried out, "Husband, save me!"

As soon as she spoke, Yu Wanyin ran straight into the tall, burly bandit king, who sat on his horse, his gaze as fierce as a beast fixed on her.
