Mirage
The wreckage of an extremely large tower ship appeared right in front of Lin Han. It was the tower ship [Mirage] that Qin Shihuang built for Xu Fu to sail eastward.
Xu Fu's fleet, which sailed eastward, ran aground on the beach. After four hundred years of wind and rain, only a few wrecks remain. Even so, a close look at the wreckage still reveals how luxurious this ship was at the time.
Judging from the traces of the wreckage, the [Mirage] is nearly 100 meters long, more than 20 meters high, and more than 40 meters wide. One can imagine what the scene was like when the [Mirage] led the fleet to sail.
"Have someone search for spoils from the Japanese capital to see if there are any ship designs."
Lin Han came to his senses and gave the order immediately.
This giant battleship is still very shocking even today.
During the Qin and Han Dynasties, many things were lost. The generals of the six kingdoms invaded Xianyang, and then Xiang Yu burned the Afang Palace, causing the essence of the seven kingdoms and hundreds of schools of thought after the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, as well as various books and theories, to be lost.
In addition, during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, the strategy of abolishing all schools of thought led to the decline of all schools of thought again.
All the spoils obtained in the town, except for gold, silver and food, were gathered together, especially the spoils from the Japanese Emperor's Palace, which became the top priority for careful search.
There are some artifacts from the Qin Dynasty, but not many in number, and no ship drawings or anything like that were found.
"Look for the royal tomb of Japan." Lin Han ordered again.
Digging graves.
If all the tombs of the Japanese emperor were dug up, there would surely be some good things among the burial objects.
Lin Han guessed that when they went out to sea, they should have brought ship designs with them. Now all he could do was try his best to find something good. Xu Fu's tomb and the tombs of successive Japanese emperors should yield some results.
Half an hour later, the spies sent out came back to report that they had discovered the Japanese Emperor's Mausoleum in a mountain not far from Mount Fuji.
In the most prominent tombstone inscription, small seal characters from the Qin Dynasty were found.
"My lord, don't you recognize the characters here?" asked Guo Jia, who was accompanying him.
"Not all of it. I only recognize some of the Qin Dynasty's small seal script. I don't recognize the rest." Lin Han shook his head. Seeing Guo Jia's expression, he asked curiously, "Does Feng Xiao know the small seal script?"
“A little bit.”
Guo Jia nodded and said, "The inscription reads: The Divine and Martial Emperor, the one who cultivated the legacy of heaven and earth; the ancient cultivator, who seized the spiritual energy of nature to cultivate; knowing the time of the day, distinguishing yin and yang, and understanding the art of alchemy, a guest of a thousand years.
Shenwu was Xu Fu, courtesy name Zhijunfang, a native of Qin. His teacher, Guigu, was well-versed in all schools of thought, understanding yin and yang, astronomy, navigation, and the art of medicine. The Qin Emperor followed him during his reign, but, worried about life and death, he sought Fu's advice.
Fu claimed that there were immortal mountains on the sea, namely Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou, where immortals lived and possessed the elixir of immortality. Because of his status as a cultivator, Fu was able to obtain the art of immortality. He prepared for three years, gathering the strengths of hundreds of schools and the efforts of countless people to build the mirage.
In the 28th year of the reign of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, Fu led 3,000 boys and girls, drove away the mirage, and went down to the East China Sea to visit the immortal mountain in search of the elixir of immortality. However, they did not find the immortal mountain at first, so they returned.
Nine years later, due to his expertise in physiognomy and his ability to read the air, he knew that the Emperor of Qin would not live long. Fearing disaster, he gathered thousands of young boys and girls, along with treasures and scriptures, and drove the mirage back into the East China Sea. He then beheaded Changbo to search for the Immortal Mountain.
After seven days at sea, sailing towards the sun, I reached a place where the sun shines and saw a huge island on the sea. I recognized it as the land of Qingqiu and entered it to explore, but I saw dwarves bowing eastward. I was happy that it was the immortal abode, so I boarded a boat and sailed east again. I saw White Mountain in the middle of the island, and my joy was evident on my face.
He climbed Baishan Mountain to look for the immortal, but could not find any trace of him. So he got the young of a strange beast called Nine-tailed Fox, and took it as animal feed for the immortal. He made the boys and girls live at the foot of the immortal mountain, waiting to be summoned by the immortal.
Five years later, the immortals disappeared, the dwarves were driven away, the women were captured, and the city walls were built..."
The epitaph is a bit long, recording Xu Fu's life, including his camping at Mount Fuji, where he waited for an audience with an immortal. He eventually died of old age there, but never saw the immortal.
However, he built the rudiments of a castle at the foot of Mount Fuji, used young boys as warriors, and drove out the dwarves, marking the beginning of the Wa Kingdom. His son became the emperor, posthumously named Emperor Jimmu.
Afterwards, they robbed dwarf women and interbred them. After four hundred years, they became the present-day Japan, which was still a primitive society.
"It seems that the city at the foot of the mountain was indeed built by the boys and girls led by Xu Fu. It's a pity that there are no immortals here." Guo Jia said.
Reading Xu Fu's epitaph gave him a whole new perspective.
"After King Wu defeated King Zhou, there were no more immortals. The immortals in the world are nothing more than ancient cultivators." Lin Han said, "Dig the grave."
Knowing that it was Xu Fu's tomb, they were even more determined to dig it up.
It is recorded in Xu Fu's tombstone that he took a lot of scriptures and treasures to the East China Sea, thinking that he could present them to immortals in order to obtain the elixir of immortality, but in the end he never saw the shadow of the immortal.
Where are those treasures?
It can only be in his grave, or the graves of his descendants.
Qin Shi Huang conquered the six kingdoms and obtained countless treasures. It was not excessive for him to take out the most precious treasure in order to seek the elixir of immortality.
Lin Han gave the order and the accompanying soldiers immediately took action, leaving none of the eleven emperors' tombs untouched.
When the tomb door opened and the smoke and dust cleared, the sound of a baby crying could be heard from inside the mausoleum. Instantly, the accompanying soldiers were terrified and pushed out of the mausoleum door one after another.
I saw a white animal shadow slowly walking out of the tomb passage. It was as tall as a good horse, with white fur like snow, shaped like a fox, with nine tails, and sounded like a baby. It had an auspicious light.
Nine-tailed fox.
The guardian beast of Xu Fu's tomb is the Qingqiu Nine-Tailed Fox recorded in his epitaph.
Jiuwei came out of the tomb, looked around, and then looked at Lin Han. His fox eyes were full of charm, as if he wanted to bring him into a fantasy world.
Oh, oh, oh!
The Nine-Tailed Fox barked several times and rushed towards Lin Han.
For a moment, the surrounding soldiers stood in front of Lin Han, raised their swords to block and prevent the Nine-Tailed Fox from getting close.
"No, step back."
