Grandpa walked forward expressionlessly and stood next to the teacher. The teacher nodded and sat down next to him.
"Have you completed all the assigned homework?"
"Yes."
The twin brothers spoke first.
Shi Yan, who usually loves to show off, lowered his head silently.
Time is speechless.
Even though Shi Ran didn't say anything, her grandfather knew how her homework was going.
"Shi Yan, what about you?"
Shi Yan, who was named, stood up, lowered his head, and looked like he had done something wrong. "Grandpa, I didn't do it." But he quickly pointed the finger at Shi Ran. "Grandpa, Shi Ran stole your things."
Shi Ran didn't rush to explain, but just looked at Shi Yan calmly.
Grandpa glanced at Shi Ran before asking, "What?"
"A necklace, the one she wears around her neck, must have been stolen from Grandpa."
He raised his head proudly, thinking that it was impossible for Shi Ran to get a gift from his grandfather. He looked forward to Shi Ran being scolded by his grandfather, and even more seriously, maybe being kicked out.
"Shi Yan, is this what grandpa taught you since you were a child?"
"What?"
He was stunned, and saw panic with his naked eyes.
Shi Ran had a faint smile on his face and looked indifferent.
"I gave it to Shi Ran because she gave me a very precious gift, and this is a return gift. Shi Yan, who told you that Shi Ran stole the necklace?"
Grandpa's face showed displeasure, but the tone of his voice sounded calm.
"How is that possible?" Shi Yan looked at Shi Ran in disbelief. Even though he was sure that the necklace was a gift from his grandfather, he still didn't believe it. "Grandpa, why would you give her such an expensive necklace? She's just a little bastard!"
"Shi Yan!" Grandpa roared angrily, "I told you not to say such things anymore. Now it's Grandpa's turn, and you won't listen?"
Shi Yan bit his lip, realizing his mistake, and lowered his head.
"From today on, come to me after class every day. If your dad doesn't care about you, I'll take care of you on his behalf." Grandpa said this, took a deep breath, and then relaxed a little. "Shi Ran, you did a great job. Grandpa is looking forward to your next homework."
Shi Ran slowly stood up from her seat and said obediently, "Thank you, Grandpa. Actually, I just took the opportunity of doing homework to give you a gift. If Grandpa is happy, Shi Ran will be happy too."
"You guys continue with your lessons."
Grandpa nodded to the teacher, then glanced sharply at Shi Yan and walked out.
Although Shi Yan admitted his mistakes in front of his grandfather, as soon as his grandfather left, he immediately acted as if it was all Shi Ran's fault and glared at her hatefully.
The teenager looked at her with hatred as if he wanted to kill her.
Shi Ran just smiled, unaffected by him.
In the yard.
"Today we will play hide and seek. Shi Ran will look for us, and the rest of us will hide together."
In fact, there were not many people playing, just the twins and Shi Ran.
"Wow! This is Tokiran's first time trying this! It should be fun!"
“So happy, so happy!”
Looking at the twins who were clenching their fists and stamping their feet, Shi Ran smiled knowingly.
In reality, she was just playing with the two kids and pretending to be having a lot of fun.
"Count to a hundred."
Shi Ran leaned his face against the pillar and said.
"Come on, one! two! three! four!"
Shi Ran heard two footsteps heading in the same direction, talking endlessly away.
As expected, the twins even hid together.
Shi Ran kept counting numbers.
"Eleven! Twelve!..."
I simply stopped counting. They had run far away and I couldn't hear her voice anymore.
She had no intention of looking for it right away, but leaned against the pillar.
"It's finally quiet. In my previous life, I never saw them playing hide-and-seek with me. They thought I was a bastard and avoided me. I didn't expect that after beating Shi Yan, they would become so entangled and chattering so loudly. Now it's finally quiet."
Shi Ran lay down somewhere for a while, then walked, ready to catch the twins, looking for a sunny place. On the way from the deserted backyard to the crowded front yard, he saw a little ghost standing alone.
A little boy who looked to be about twelve years old.
"Who are you?"
Strange faces.
She had no impression of the little boy at all.
I searched my memories of my past life, but couldn't find the little boy's face.
She didn't want to know who this person was and had no intention of getting close. She just looked at him and saw that he seemed to be angry. The little guy took off his hat, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it with his shoes.
He seemed to have shown his domineering attitude more than once, as if he was used to it.
Shi Ran didn't want to get close to him in the first place, especially after he did this, she didn't want to make contact even more.
A strong wind blew from somewhere, and the hat that the little guy was excitedly stepping on flew to the lawn far away.
"Hello!"
I heard the little boy shouting.
Shi Ran stopped and looked around. There was only herself and the little boy. What did this mean? Was he talking to her?
She didn't move, staring at the little boy expressionlessly.
"You go over there and pick up that hat."
He said in a commanding tone.
Shi Ran heard it correctly, it was an order.
What I heard from a teenager was an order.
"What?"
Shi Ran looked at him in surprise.
"Are you deaf? I asked you to pick up my hat."
"Why?" Shi Ran took two steps towards him. "Am I your servant? Do you pay me? Do I know you? Why should I pick up your hat for you?"
