Demon Realm Slaughter Trial Grounds 10

Demon Realm Slaughter Trial Grounds 10

Neither of them is poisonous when eaten, but if they are mixed together and processed using a secret method, they will become a colorless and odorless drug that can make demons lose consciousness.

This method wasn't something it learned from elsewhere; it was something it accidentally discovered in its early years when it was experimenting with different materials in the Six Realms to brew wine. It was also the very thing it used to charm the first batch of demons who entered the trial grounds.

The wine merchant prince hesitated, undecided, and did not drink for a long time.

The Seventh Princess retorted, "Sixth Sister kindly invited you to taste the wine, how dare you refuse? You are just as despicable as your ungrateful mother."

Except for Xie Guijin, who called out with a hint of complaint, "Seventh Sister."

The other demons did not react to what the Seventh Princess said.

Upon hearing the Seventh Princess's words, the wine merchant prince did not feel humiliated. Instead, he realized that all the demons had drunk this wine at the banquet. Although their magic was powerful, it should have had some effect. It was likely that although the wine contained Night Night Orchid and Cloud Sleeping Mushroom, it had no effect without being processed using a secret method. It was the prince who was feeling guilty and confused that caused him to act inappropriately and become suspicious.

Thinking of this, the wine merchant prince laughed heartily and said, "How could I dare to refuse the gift from the Sixth Princess? I was just enjoying the aroma of the wine, please forgive me, Your Highnesses and Princesses."

As he spoke, he was about to drink the wine.

Xie Guijin lightly tapped the wine glass with her fingertips, a smile playing on her lips, as if kindly reminding her, "Are you sure you want to drink this? This wine is different from the one we just drank."

Prince Jiu's pupils suddenly contracted, his hand paused, and after regaining his composure, he placed the wine cup back on the tray, knelt down, and said, "What does the Sixth Princess mean by this? If I have done anything inappropriate, please punish me."

"Do you really not know what I mean?" Xie Guijin asked coldly, her smile fading.

The wine merchant prince's face turned pale, and he forced a smile, saying, "This humble official is foolish, please enlighten me, Sixth Princess."

Xie Guijin stood up and slowly walked to the wine merchant prince, saying, "Do you know that I was assassinated a few days ago, and that I unintentionally took the knife for you?"

“This—” The wine merchant prince’s heart trembled, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead: “I really didn’t know. The Sixth Princess’s kindness is boundless. I will definitely repay the Sixth Princess with my life.”

"Hehehe," Xie Guijin laughed and said, "You haven't even checked whether what I said is true or false, yet you want to repay me?"

"Sixth Princess, you are of noble birth, how could you possibly deceive me with your words?" The wine merchant prince looked up at Xie Guijin, his tone sincere.

Xie Guijin whispered devilishly, "But I heard that the assassination was something you orchestrated yourself, and it was I who ruined your plans."

"Absolutely not! This must be a frame-up. I beg the Sixth Princess to see the truth!" The wine merchant prince clenched his hands and loudly denied it.

"Framed?" Xie Guijin picked up the wine cup that the wine merchant prince had placed on the tray, glanced at the wine merchant prince's pale face, and chuckled, "Then the sleeping potion made of Night Orchid and Yunmianzhi in this wine was also framed by another demon?"

The wine merchant prince's throat tightened: "This humble official...this humble official does not know what the Sixth Princess is talking about."

"Don't know?" Xie Guijin smiled brightly. "Hehe, it's alright. I'll send you to the Demon Law Hall, and you'll know everything then."

The wine merchant prince's forehead was covered in cold sweat, his voice trembling. He grabbed Xie Guijin's hem and pleaded desperately, "Sixth Princess, I... I confess my guilt. Please... please don't send me to the Demon Law Hall. I beg you."

Xie Guijin slapped away the wine merchant prince's hand, returned to the main seat with a leisurely air, and said, "Tell me, what have you been doing?"

"I, I," the wine merchant prince suddenly conjured a demonic blade, soared into the air, and lunged straight at Xie Guijin.

At the critical moment, a figure stood in front of Xie Guijin.

It was Xue Linchuan who arrived, and the demonic blade plunged directly into his body, instantly staining his bamboo-green robes red with blood.

Xie Guijin rushed forward to support Xue Linchuan's collapsing body and fell to the ground with him.

Her mind went blank, and she almost forgot that she was in the Demon Realm. She said in a trembling voice, "Xue Linchuan, why did you do this? You knew that I had everything arranged and that it might not be able to hurt me."

As Xie Guijin spoke, the traps and demon generals inside the palace swiftly captured the wine merchant prince.

Blood trickled from the corner of Xue Linchuan's mouth, but he smiled and said, "I know, but I... but I dare not gamble. I'm just glad you're alright."

He lay half-reclined in Xie Guijin's arms, struggling to raise his right hand and reach out to touch Xie Guijin's face.

"Don't say anything, I'll heal your injuries." Xie Guijin, with tears in her eyes, quickly grabbed Xue Linchuan's hand and placed it on her cheek.

"Gui Jin, I'm afraid I'm going to die. Please help me in the next world and bring Chu Shuyue back to life. I'm sorry for what I did. I'm really powerless. Please, please help me." Xue Linchuan coughed as he spoke, spitting out large clumps of blood and foam.

Xie Guijin was in tears, her whole body trembling. Her lips quivered as she said, "Okay, I promise you, you, you won't die."

Xue Linchuan's eyes were unfocused, and in his dying moments, he asked softly with a hint of grievance, "Gui Jin, I didn't dare ask you before, why won't you see me? You weren't angry when I followed you to various realms before, so why are you so angry now that you don't want me anymore?"

To hear Xue Linchuan's words clearly, Xie Guijin lowered her body extremely low, putting her ear close to Xue Linchuan's mouth. Upon hearing his words, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning.

She raised her head slightly, staring intently at Xue Linchuan's bloodless face, and exclaimed in a trembling voice, "You said you've been following me since the beginning of this world, not in reality?"

Whether Xue Linchuan heard it or not, his head lolled to the side and he stopped breathing.

Upon seeing this, Xie Guijin was thrown into turmoil, and demonic energy emanated from his body.

Several different voices rang out in the hall: "Sister Wang", "Sister Wang", "Princess".

The loudest voice came from the system deep within Xie Guijin's consciousness: "Master, calm down, calm down!"

Xie Guijin ignored him, watching as the surging demonic energy threatened to destroy the entire palace.

The next instant, in the Immortal Realm thousands of miles away, a pair of bloodshot eyes opened. It was Xie Guijin, who had been forcibly teleported because the mission time had expired. She didn't care about her surroundings and called out Xue Linchuan's name as she headed straight for the Demon Realm.

In the Demon Realm, the demons in the palace looked at the Sixth Princess, who was still tightly holding Chu Shuyue. When they saw her suddenly change her expression and restrain her demonic energy, the demons all breathed a sigh of relief. No one wanted to experience the Sixth Princess's indiscriminate attacks when she went berserk.

Many demons thought to themselves, "I didn't realize that the princess/queen/queen had some genuine feelings for this mortal."

"I wonder if we can use this in the future," some princes and princesses have already thought of this.

However, no demon offered any words of comfort to the Sixth Princess, such as "please accept the loss," for fear of provoking her to go mad again.

The hall was completely silent, but a series of thumping sounds came from outside.

The demons turned to look behind them and saw a snow-white rabbit leap past them like a gust of wind, rushing to the Sixth Princess and Chu Shuyue, letting out a shrill scream of "Squeak! Squeak!"

The sixth princess, who was casting a spell to transfer demonic energy to Chu Shuyue, had no time to pay attention.

Inside the hall, the demons looked at each other in bewilderment. What was going on? Where did this rabbit come from?

The Eighth Prince stared intently at it, then exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't this the Jade Rabbit of the Moon Goddess Chang'e from the Moon Palace in the Celestial Realm? How did it end up here?"

All the demons turned to look at the rabbit that was desperately jumping onto Chu Shuyue.

Jiu Xie Gui Jin asked doubtfully, "Are you sure? That rabbit is very quiet; I've never heard it make a sound."

"Have you heard of it?" The Ninth Princess nudged the Eleventh Prince beside her with her elbow.

“No,” the eleventh prince said, craning his neck to look at the rabbit. “But the myna bird runs to the Moon Palace every day, so it might have heard of it.”

Upon hearing this, all the demons turned to look at the Eighth Prince.

The Eighth Prince retorted angrily, "What are you looking at! Everyone has a desire for beauty. I admire the fairy Chang'e, so what? Is that a problem?"

“Alright, of course,” the fifteenth prince, who had always been at odds with the eighth prince, mocked. “But eighth brother, you’ve been pursuing the fairy Chang’e for hundreds of years, how come you still haven’t won her heart? What’s that saying again? Oh, right, ‘a toad wants to eat swan meat,’ that’s exactly what you are, eighth brother, isn’t it?”

"You!" The Eighth Prince unleashed a ball of demonic fire at the Fifteenth Prince.

The fifteenth prince dodged the attack, conjuring a vine in his palm and striking the eighth prince in the face, shouting, "Come on, who's afraid of who?"

The scene was chaotic. After a short while, the Sixth Princess finished her spell. With one arm around Chu Shuyue and the other grabbing the frenzied rabbit, she said in a deep voice, "Xie Guijin? Is that you?"

"Woo?" The rabbit Xie Guijin finally realized that she was no longer human. She squeaked at Chu Shuyue in the Sixth Princess's arms, "Squeak—, woo—, woo-woo..." a series of rabbit sounds.

The Sixth Princess couldn't understand, but she accurately judged Xie Guijin's meaning and reassured her, "Don't worry, he's not dead."

"Woo woo woo?" Xie Guijin stopped jumping around and started tugging at the hem of the Sixth Princess's clothes with her front paws.

The sixth princess smiled and said, "Really, I'm not lying to you."

Xie Guijin let out a long sigh of relief and lay sprawled out to one side like a rabbit pancake.

The sixth princess handed Chu Shuyue over to the witch to be sent back to her palace.

Ignoring the chaos in the palace, the Sixth Princess personally carried the rabbit Xie Guijin back to her chambers.

It placed the rabbit beside Chu Shuyue's pillow and asked the demonic doctor, who had already finished his diagnosis, "How is he?"

“Your Highness,” the Demon Physician said, bowing, “Master Chu is out of danger. Your Highness’s timely treatment protected his heart meridian. He will recover after a period of rest.”

“But…” The Demon Doctor frowned deeply and hesitated.

The rabbit suddenly raised its head.

The Sixth Princess said to the Demon Doctor with displeasure, "Speak plainly if you have something to say, why are you beating around the bush?"

The demonic doctor hurriedly said, "When I examined him, Master Chu seemed to have lost his life force, but he shouldn't be in such a state now. My medical skills are not good enough, and I really don't understand."

"Then you should focus on improving your medical skills," the Sixth Princess said irritably. "Alright, you'll stay by his side until he recovers."

“Yes,” the Demon Doctor replied, bowing.

The sixth princess then asked the rabbit, "Will you stay?"

In her rabbit form, Xie Guijin nodded her head vigorously, saying, "Coo coo coo."

"Then you stay here, I'll handle the aftermath," the Sixth Princess said, and hurried to the Demon Law Hall to listen to the interrogation of the wine merchant prince.

Xie Guijin and the demonic doctor who remained stared at each other.

The Demon Doctor reached out to touch Xie Guijin, saying, "What an adorable little bunny."
