Chapter 130: Censorship
"What?!"
Looking at the investigation warrant handed to her by the inspectors, Luo Jin felt it was utterly absurd.
She gripped the interrogation warrant tightly in her hand and said coldly, "If you want to interrogate me, at least produce some evidence!"
Ferrent smiled. "Commander, you know what you've done. We were just following orders."
Logan: "On orders? On whose orders? By Aled or Dennis?"
Is there a difference?
Ferrent glanced behind her. "Where's Aloo? I brought her a gift..."
Logan grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall. "I'm warning you, Ferrent, if you dare to lay a finger on Nono, I'll make you regret it!"
Seeing her make a move, Ferrent's security personnel stepped forward to try and stop her.
Ferrent raised his hand, signaling them to step back.
“Lokin, you still have this temper. I didn’t do anything, I just felt that you guys are in a situation where you can’t take care of the cubs.”
Looking at the smile on Ferrent's face, Logan wished he could punch him in the face.
"Alo!"
Tang Ting stood at the top of the stairs and called out to Luo Jin, who was about to make a move.
"Dr. Tang Ting, you're here."
Ferrent smiled at him and said, "Perfect timing, we also have an inspection warrant for you here, so come with us."
Tang Ting came down the stairs, grabbed Luo Jin's hand, and shook her head at her.
Logan took a deep breath and released Ferrent.
Ferrent chuckled. "That's right. If you cooperate with the investigation, it'll save you both a lot of trouble. But if you're all taken away, there'll probably be no one to take care of the cubs. Well, that's perfect, I can help you..."
Before he could finish speaking, Tang Ting punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Tang Ting unbuttoned one button of his shirt, rolled up the cuffs, and looked at Ferrent on the ground, saying, "Try touching Nono."
The security guards immediately swarmed forward, trying to subdue Tang Ting, but Luo Jin and Tang Ting quickly beat them all to the ground.
"Lokin, Tang Ting!"
Security Secretary Damon led a large group of people into their yard. Looking at the several men lying on the ground groaning, he shouted, "Are you defying the inspection order?"
Tang Ting said calmly, "How could that be? It's just that we have some personal grudges with Ferrent. When we saw him showing off at our house, we couldn't help but take action. We are open to investigation, but you'd better not step into our house until the investigation results are out. Otherwise, I have the right to appeal or resist."
Damon didn't say anything more after hearing this. It was true that the Ferrent and the Downing family had a personal feud. When Hicks stepped down from his position as CEO of the Investigations Department, he was often targeted by Ferrent and his group.
"Then you two will come with us."
Tang Ting and Luo Jin exchanged a glance, took each other's hands, straightened their backs, and walked forward.
Ferrent got up from the ground, looking at their backs with resentment. Just you wait, they can't have all the good things! With what they've done, the little cub will eventually choose a new adoptive family.
Ferrent glanced at the Tang Ting family's living room again. Why was no one there? Had Aloo been taken out to play by someone else?
Damon stepped forward and said to him, "Let's go, we still need to go to the Hailier's house."
Looking at the injuries on Ferrent's face, Damon's eyes flashed with a hint of schadenfreude. Helier's temper was even more volatile; if Ferrent didn't get a beating later, he'd change his name.
Ferrent looked at him and sneered, "You only stop me after I've been beaten up, huh?"
Damon looked completely innocent. "I didn't know Tang Ting would beat you up. He's a physician, and he's got a good temper."
The implication is that the problem lies with you.
Ferrent glared at him and walked out.
"It's alright, Alo."
On the aircraft, Tang Ting held Luo Jin's hand and gently comforted him.
Their personal computers and all communication devices were confiscated and will only be returned to them after the investigation is completed.
Fortunately, they had made preparations in advance and had anticipated this day, so they sent Winnie and the others to Amber Island with Nono and the other children.
They also secretly sent people to the Sky Tower to investigate the core matter, and urged Hicks to return from Capa as soon as possible.
He had already completed his mission on Capa a few days ago, and all his merits combined were enough for him to return to his post.
He had some prestige in the investigation department, and since the trial at the time was actually quite lenient, he could have remained in his position after the punishment was over. However, he was too stubborn and requested to go to Cappa Star.
His family needed him, so he came back without hesitation.
Not at home?
In the living room, Dennis listened to Ferrent's report, glanced at Brightman who was fiddling with weapons, and said, "I understand. Interrogate them thoroughly. As for Aloo's whereabouts, I do know where they went back to."
As soon as Dennis hung up the call, he heard Brightman say, "Have they hidden her?"
Dennis sat down next to him. "They won't hide anywhere. Tang Ting and the others are under investigation now. Aloo should be in the care of their parents."
After he finished speaking, Brightman assembled the last weapon and fired a shot at the window, instantly vaporizing a bird flying by outside.
He threw down his gun and said to Dennis, "Let's go see her."
Dennis patted his head: "Okay, I'll arrange it right away, but you'd better hide the key well."
Brightman: "Can I show it to her?"
Denise: "If you show her the key, she'll run away. Do you want her to run away?"
Brightman shook his head.
He had lived on that high floating island since birth. His father rarely visited him, only instructing him on some political matters via video. Only his uncle Dennis visited regularly.
He said his father didn't want to come because he was too cowardly and didn't dare to face what he had done.
He spends every day with the "key," and he knows her energy and aura better than anyone else.
He could sense a part of her consciousness through the key, and he would often dream of her from the moment she was born as a tiny little bundle to the moment she grew up.
In my dream, she didn't smile much, and her gaze was like a sharp knife.
Coincidentally, he doesn't like to laugh, doesn't love this world, and has nothing he likes. He is the most perfect North River Star person cultivated by the research institute. They gave him the best things: the best genes, the most prestigious status, and even the entire North River Star System in the future, but they didn't give him love.
He didn't know what love was, and it didn't matter to him. The only thing he was interested in was the girl in his dreams.
Dennis quickly located Aloo's current location; she, Feltwinie, and their siblings were all in Amber Island.
Brightman picked up a model fighter jet from the table. He had heard she liked these things, so he made the best one for her and would give it to her later.
Amber Island, Central Park.
Anno and Huo Yin are on flying skateboards, trying to catch the shape-shifting balls flying all over the sky.
Besides them, there were many other children clinging to the ground and in the air.
This was a competition held in the park with many prizes. They were very interested in one of the mecha toys, Anno, so they participated.
Half of Amber Island is filled with various colleges and universities, with a large number of students, and the parks are full of teenagers.
Huo Yin swiftly found each of the transforming balls that had turned into various objects, grabbed them, and stuffed them into the bag at his waist, while glancing at Anno.
Anno was already very skilled at using the flying skateboard, but he was still worried about her. He kept flying around her, keeping her away from the others.
"Nono, that's enough, come down now. Your older brothers and sisters will help you catch them."
Winnie called out to her from below, her eyes never leaving her.
"Coming soon."
Anno replied to Winnie, then grabbed two more and prepared to drop them to the ground.
A deformable ball that turned into a small bird flew past her and swung around in front of her twice in a provocative manner. Anno reached out to grab it but failed, so she chased after it.
Huo Yin saw her fly away and immediately followed behind her. Anuo saw that the bird flew to the ground and turned into an animal that looked like a squirrel, so she also landed on the ground and chased after it.
Just as she was about to catch up, the deformable ball suddenly stopped in front of a boy and was caught in his hand.
Seeing that the shapeshifting ball was gone, she turned to leave, when she heard the boy call out to her: "Aloo."
She stopped and looked at him with a puzzled expression.
Brightman walked up to Anno and handed her the Transformer Ball, but Anno glanced at it and didn't take it.
“I am Brightman.”
Brightman then handed her the toy fighter jet he was holding.
The boy in front of me had exquisite features, like a perfect work of art. His dark eyes, as black as lacquer, were calm and indifferent, unlike what one would expect from someone his age.
Anno shook her head; she wouldn't accept anything from strangers.
Seeing that the boy was alright, she turned and left, treating him as just another person she might try to strike up a conversation with.
As soon as she moved, the boy stepped forward and grabbed her hand.
She was startled and tried to pull her hand back, but Huo Yin immediately pounced on her and pushed her away forcefully.
