Chapter 201: Intersection
Anno watched as his mother stood guard on the battlefield for years, at the doorstep of the Zerg's home, neither retreating nor advancing an inch.
She only guarded their home; the Zerg never intended to participate in the Alliance Wars.
Now that they have Anunu, they will not bring the war to the Zerg.
Other star systems fought the Zerg for several years but failed to gain control of the stronghold, and eventually gave up.
Sevier can also take a short rest and return to the main planet.
When she went to visit Anunu with great joy, Augsis told her some bad news.
Their Anunu are somewhat underdeveloped, and the energy cannot compensate for this congenital defect.
Yes, Anunu's most important core was not fully developed when Sevier was born.
This is a very common situation with queen beetle eggs; they often lose all signs of life when they are laid and are dead eggs.
During the long reign of the current Queen, many Queen eggs will be born, but most of these Queen eggs have underdeveloped cores or even no core at all.
These are all invalid eggs. As long as there is consciousness when it is laid, even if the core is defective, it means that the egg is alive.
The Zerg will have at most one Overlord and one Male Overlord, and then one successor Overlord and one Young Male Overlord. However, it is extremely rare in Zerg history for a pair of Overlords and a pair of Young Overlords to exist at the same time.
It's already quite rare for three kings to coexist like Seville and her group.
Because of the unique consciousness network among the Zerg, the eggs that did not survive actually all shared the same consciousness.
Unlike the birth of the Zerglings, every egg of the Little King Worm is healthy and without any problems.
The little king worm first forms an energy consciousness entity, and then forms an egg.
The Queen Insect is destined to control the entire Zerg race, requiring an enormous amount of energy. As a result, many Queen Insect eggs become dead eggs because they cannot sustain the necessary energy expenditure, and are then reborn by the Queen Insect.
Sylvanas is a rare Zerg core with no defects and is a very healthy Overlord egg.
Augsis is also a male insect egg with very strong energy, without any core issues.
Neither of them had any defects when they were still insect eggs, so it was thought that perhaps the queen insect eggs they laid would also be fine.
When Anunu was born, they couldn't help but worry, because Anunu was a branch of the Glowing race, and the Glowing race was inherently more fragile than other branches, and their eggs were much smaller.
They were very lucky. Anunu was the first Queen Insect egg that Sevil conceived. Although there were some problems with her core when she was born, she had consciousness, which meant that this Queen Insect egg could hatch and grow.
The fact that the very first queen beetle egg showed signs of consciousness indirectly demonstrates their strong physical abilities; however, the core problem remains unavoidable.
Anunu's genetic form is that of the Firefly race, which brings them both joy and sorrow.
The good news is that the Firefly race is now rare and even somewhat declining, and Anunu's birth will help the race grow stronger.
The growth of the Firefly will indirectly enhance the overall strength of the Zerg race.
What worries them is that the Firefly branch is too fragile; they would prefer Anunu to have a body as strong as theirs.
Augsis and Seville poured almost all their energy into Anunu, using the best energy ore of the Zerg to nourish her.
But her core strength gradually weakened.
Over the years, Sevier and Augsis have been able to establish conscious communication with Anunu, who was still in her egg. Although she was physically weak, her consciousness was very active and she could already travel through the consciousness network.
She was very curious about the outside world and often pestered their consciousness to see many things. Anunu, who was still in the egg, could not accept the inheritance of the Zerg consciousness, so it could only be instilled in her little by little, like feeding a chick.
Upon returning to her home planet, Seville sensed Anunu's weakening energy and was extremely anxious.
But Anunu knew nothing yet; as soon as she regained consciousness, she clung to her.
It's relatively rare to find an Ogre Egg like Anunu, which has a very active mind but a very weak body, but it's not unheard of.
However, if the Queen Egg weakens, it would be very cruel for Anunu, whose consciousness doesn't know how long it will take to get another egg with sufficient energy.
Moreover, given her condition, she shouldn't be completely weakened, but rather she should be able to survive until birth, although she might very well die during her growth.
When that happens, they will truly lose Anunu, and that will be the most terrifying thing.
In either case, neither Seville nor Augustis could accept it.
After discussion, the two decided to use their own core primal energy to replenish Anunu's core.
Originally, this task was to be done by Augsis, but Seville had already suffered too much damage on the battlefield. The Alliance War had only just begun, and a fully-energized Overlord was needed to oversee it.
Most importantly, Sylvanas is the queen of the Zerg, and Anunu is her descendant, so their primal energies are the most compatible.
Anno stood behind Sevier and Augsis, watching as her mother transferred almost all of her primal energy to her without reservation.
"Anunu, Mommy is going to sleep now. After you hatch, you can come to the Abyss to see Mommy."
Anuo watched as her mother embraced her, pressing her face against the eggshell, her expression one of tenderness no one else had ever seen.
"Anunu, grow up well, and when Mommy wakes up, she can come back to be with you."
The eggshell was flashing, and Anunu heard her mother's words in her consciousness network and was responding to her.
The image gradually blurred as Anno and Karina continued to fall.
Karina pulled Anno back into her arms and hugged her tightly. "It's all over now, little Qi, don't cry."
Anno buried his face in Karina's arms and mumbled, "I didn't cry."
Karina didn't argue with her this time, but hugged her tightly and gently stroked her back.
The two soon found themselves in the scene, and the image reappeared before them.
The wind and snow were raging, the sound was piercing, and the scene was a world of ice and snow as far as the eye could see.
Suddenly, a figure came into their line of sight.
Upon seeing that figure, Anno's pupils dilated slightly, and he immediately let go of Karina's hand and ran over.
That's the wolf mother!
Anno ran to the mother wolf's side and watched as she carried a small figure on her back, braving the wind and snow to move forward.
"Awoo"
The little Nunu on the mother wolf's back let out a howl, indicating that it was hungry.
The mother wolf responded, telling her to wait a little longer, and that she would find food for her once she found a sheltered place.
Karina quickly came to Anno's side, took her hand, and looked at the rather large wolf in front of them.
Upon seeing it, Karina paused slightly, "Mother?"
Anno looked at Karina in surprise upon hearing her words, thinking she had misheard, and asked, "Second sister, what did you say?"
Karina looked at her and said, "You haven't seen Mother in her beast form, have you?"
Anno shook his head.
Karina said, "I've seen it once. This female wolf looks very much like my mother, except that her fur color is different."
She led Anno to the front of the mother wolf and pointed to the tuft of red fur on the mother wolf's forehead, "Mother, there is a tuft of fur of the same shape in this place."
Although Karina had only seen her mother's beast form once, her memory was exceptional; she remembered every detail of her mother's beast form clearly.
My mother's body hair was red and white, and most of the hair on her face was white, so the tuft of red hair on her forehead was particularly noticeable, like a flame.
The only difference between the wolf in front of me and my mother was that the wolf was a little smaller than her.
The mother wolf's fur looked gray, but her underfur was white; it must have been too dirty to look gray.
Moreover, the mother wolf's paws also had faint orange-red fur.
When Anno heard Karina say that, his heart suddenly started pounding.
"It's probably just a coincidence that we look similar," she said.
She couldn't connect the wolf mother with Locke because it was too incredible.
Earth and the Riot system are almost completely unrelated.
Anno never expected to encounter the wolf mother again, and he looked at her with almost greedy eyes.
When she landed on Earth, she might not have survived if she hadn't met her wolf mother during those first few years after hatching.
She watched as her mother wolf went out to hunt for her, brought back food, chewed it up little by little, and fed it to her. In the snowy northern region, the mother wolf spent most of her time curling up in her arms, keeping her warm, except when hunting.
The scene before Anuo kept changing. She smiled and looked at her past self with tears in her eyes, watching her and her wolf mother depend on each other for survival. Although it was hard, it was also very warm. She was happy back then.
When the snow stops, the mother wolf will take her to roll in the snow, bit off the blankets wrapped around her, and let her roll in the snow to clean off the dirt.
The wolf mother also knew that she was different from some ordinary humans. When she was well-fed and watered, she was very healthy and would not get sick easily.
That's because at this time, she still had the Zerg's energy defense.
The sun rarely shines in the North District, but whenever it does, the wolf mother will take her out to bask in the sun and play with her in the snow.
Anno watched as she ran through the snow. After a while, she burrowed into the snow. The mother wolf immediately dug her out of the snow, grabbed her by the scruff of her collar, and shook her to clean off the snow.
She heard wolves howling in the distance and started howling along with them.
The mother wolf, however, threw her onto her back and ran in the opposite direction from the pack.
It is now a lone wolf, and the pack will not accept it unless it can directly challenge the alpha wolf.
The mutated wolf king on Earth is enormous. She could have tried it if she hadn't brought Anunu with her, but with Anunu there, she couldn't take the risk.
Anno and Karina watched quietly as the mother wolf and her baby survived in this harsh environment.
On a blizzard day, Anunu fell ill. Because of the continuous blizzards for several days, she had not eaten for almost two days, and her health deteriorated when she was hungry.
The mother wolf licked her and found that she was burning hot. Influenced by the energy of the Anunu King Worm, it was slowly mutating and its intelligence was much higher than that of ordinary beasts. It knew that Anunu had a fever.
As long as Anunu eats, she can survive thanks to her physical constitution.
The mother wolf decided to leave Anunu in the cave while she went out to hunt.
Anno and Karina watched as the mother wolf brought in some wood from outside, piled it in front of Anunu, and began to paw at it with her paws.
Just as they were puzzled by her behavior, flames ignited from under her claws.
The damp, cold wood quickly dried under its repeated exposure to the flames, and a warm fire ignited in front of Anunu.
The mother wolf also gathered some stones to fence off the firewood, so as not to accidentally burn Anunu.
Seeing the mother wolf's behavior, Anno was so shocked that he couldn't speak.
She vaguely remembered the illness she had contracted, because a few days later, the wolf mother died at the hands of Captain Zhou and his men.
Has the wolf mother awakened her superpowers?
Its behavior indicates that its intelligence is higher than that of most mutated beasts on Earth.
Karina saw the burning flames and looked at the time displayed on the quantum computer, as well as the intersecting spacetime lines.
Now, with the addition of her and Xiaoqi as a spacetime bubble, there are two spacetime lines that are parallel and do not intersect because they cannot be intervened in.
After a while, the scene in front of them changed.
A barrage of gunfire rang out, along with the roars of wild beasts.
Once the image became clear, the mother wolf was lying in a pool of blood.
Little Nunu was taken away by a pair of humans who drove off.
She cried and struggled, but could only watch helplessly as her mother wolf moved away from her.
Anno knelt beside the mother wolf, looking at everything with a sorrowful expression.
There was nothing she could do but watch as the wolf mother was killed again.
Karina knelt down next to Anno, put her arm around her, and was about to say something to comfort her when the projected image on the personal terminal suddenly popped up.
She saw that a new timeline had appeared on the projected screen, and this timeline intersected with the current Earth's timeline.
She paused, realizing someone had used time-space abilities to arrive here.
"It was still too late."
Two figures appeared in front of Anno and Karina, and they looked up sharply.
