Chapter 287: Her Dream
Tanvel stepped into the snow.
Snowflakes were falling heavily from the sky, and gusts of wind were blowing. Tanville looked around, trying to find Anno.
Logically, His Highness, being the master of the dream, should appear near him.
Seeing the heavy snow, he thought for a moment and then manipulated the snow to make it smaller.
Once the snowstorm stopped, he could see that he was surrounded by a city, but it was clearly abandoned and uninhabited.
The architecture of this city is quite different from that of other interstellar places. As he was looking around, he saw a small figure crouching in the snow not far ahead.
Tanvel could recognize his prince without even looking at his face.
He stood there for a while, then walked over and half-squatted down in front of the small figure.
At this time, Anno was only five or six years old, wearing tattered clothes and with messy hair.
Tanville saw her kneeling on the ground, pulling her long hem of her dress to cover something.
"Your Highness, what are you doing here?" Tanvel asked.
Xiao Anuo looked up when she heard his voice, grinned at him, and said, "I'm shielding Hua Hua from the wind."
As she spoke, she lowered her hem, revealing a cluster of pink and white flowers.
These are the flowers that Tanville gave to Anno earlier. They are now blooming in a snowy landscape, amidst ruins, completely out of place with their surroundings, yet full of vitality.
Tanville was stunned when he saw the cluster of flowers.
In fact, when Her Highness first returned to the Zerg, her dreams were often like this, with harsh environments, either blizzards, ruins, or dark, gloomy rooms.
Her dreams were always cold, dark, and frantic.
This time, her dream blossomed with a bouquet of flowers he had given her.
"It's bound to get windy again soon, so I need to protect it."
Little Anno spoke in her childish voice, cupping the flowers in her tiny hands and holding them in her hands with great affection.
Tanvel's abilities allow him to understand various dreams.
The dreams of living beings are generally chaotic, disordered, and without any order. One moment they might be at their doorstep, and the next they might be in outer space.
However, dreams are also a manifestation of the subconscious, revealing the thoughts and ideas hidden deep within a person's heart.
Tanvel never imagined that the flowers he gave to Her Highness would be so cherished in her dream.
"Your Highness, I will create a protective shield for the flower, which will protect it from the wind and snow."
Little Anno blinked her round, light blue eyes at Tanville, "You're amazing."
Tanville smiled at her praise and built a glass dome over the flower cluster.
Seeing that he could conjure things up so easily, Xiao Anuo immediately asked, "Big brother, can you conjure up something delicious?"
Tanvel dared not accept the title of "big brother" and said to her, "Your Highness, you can just call me Tanvel."
Little Anno nodded. "My name is Anunu, not Your Highness."
As she spoke, she lowered her head and patted her stomach. "Tanvel, I'm hungry."
Tanvel had intended to conjure food directly from his hand, but then he remembered the scene he had seen in Her Highness's dream. With his back to her, he said, "Your Highness, I'll take you to roast some delicious meat."
Upon hearing that there was barbecue to eat, Xiao Anuo immediately jumped onto his back.
After carrying little Anno on his back, Tanville led her toward a partially collapsed building not far ahead.
Before long, he started a fire in the ruins, and a large piece of meat was roasting on the fire. The meat was sizzling and dripping with oil, and the aroma was irresistible.
There was a pot of stewing meat next to it, and the aroma wafted out with the steam, making Xiao Anuo's mouth water.
Tanvel conjured up a large bowl, scooped a bowl of stew from the pot and handed it to little Anno, who was sitting in his lap, and then cut a plate of roast meat and placed it in front of her.
Little Anuo held the bowl and ate heartily, her face beaming with happiness and satisfaction.
She took a big gulp of hot soup, let out a long sigh, and leaned against Tanville's chest. "It's so warm."
Tanville patted her head with pity in his eyes, telling himself that he could be a little bolder in the dream.
After eating and drinking their fill, little Anno nestled in Tanville's arms, clutching the blankets that wrapped around them, with only her head peeking out. She looked up at him and smiled, her eyes innocent and pure.
"Tanvel, if I follow you, will I never go hungry?"
Tanvel felt a pang of sorrow and tightened his grip on her arms. "Never, Your Highness."
Anno's smile widened; she was overjoyed. She exclaimed, "I'm amazing too! I can howl like a wolf, communicate with wolves, hunt, and even fight! I'm really good at fighting!"
Little Anno kept talking about her abilities, telling Tanville that she wouldn't hold him back and that she was capable of taking care of herself.
Tanvel sighed softly, his eyes filled with heartache. "Your Highness, with me here, you don't need to do these things. I will protect you with my life, and I will not let you get hurt or go hungry."
Time flies by in dreams, the human brain works at high speed, and time is different from that in reality.
One hour in reality can feel like several days or even longer in a dream.
Anno took a two-hour nap and lived with Tanville in his dreams for several days.
They went hunting in the snow, and Tanville even built her a snowman and conjured a big cat in her dream.
This big cat is Bazel.
Tanvel rode on Bazel's back with Anno, galloping across the snow, listening to the little girl's laughter.
Normally, Bazel doesn't allow them to ride him. When he transforms into his beast form and stays by His Highness's side, he's extremely displeased if they accidentally touch him.
However, this is in a dream.
I'm sorry, Bazel, but Your Highness, please have a good dream. I'll ride you; I don't think you'll mind.
Bazel was lying next to Anno at this moment. Anno's dream was fluctuating strongly, and he could see the contents of her dream with a single thought.
Then I saw Tanvel riding on his back with little Anno, happily running wildly through the snow.
"......"
He really wouldn't care; he already belonged to Nuonuo, and Nuonuo could do whatever she wanted to him.
But it feels like Tanwell did it on purpose.
After spending a long time with Nono's family members, he gradually came to understand their personalities.
Although Caesar is the most disliked of these, Tanville is the most cunning.
For dinner, Anuo ate roasted meat and stewed meat.
Sitar sat to her right and Tanville to her left.
Normally, this spot belongs to Caesar or Bazel, and even if others fight tooth and nail for it, it's rare for them to get a seat next to her.
If Sitar doesn't come back, there will be an extra spot next to her.
Anno doesn't like eating alone. When she's at the palace, she eats with them. She doesn't like having them standing next to her when she's eating by herself.
Sital came back early today; usually, he only makes it back for dinner once or twice out of every three to five days.
He has never been enthusiastic about food; he only eats with Anuo, and he can eat for as long as Anuo eats.
He scooped a bowl of stew for Anno, only to see Anno give a piece of roast meat to Tanville.
The other family members glanced around nervously, not daring to utter a sound.
This is usually how meals are, but this was the first time Anunu had ever served food to someone.
Sitar had just returned and was unaware of their ulterior motives. He simply placed the ladled stew in front of Anno.
In fact, as long as these few family members do what they are supposed to do, Sitar will not restrict them in everything.
Anunu hasn't reached adulthood yet, so they're secretly plotting something, just making sure they don't run into his line of fire.
They also have the right to reproduce. When Anunu enters adulthood, they should do what they are supposed to do.
However, he wasn't so easy to talk to back then.
After dinner, Anno washed up and, as usual, watched some educational videos and played with models with Obsidian and the others on the bed. However, when it was time for bed, she called Tanville in.
Tanvel originally wanted to keep his feelings to himself and let time work its magic, gradually building up his favor with His Highness.
But unexpectedly, his good prince, after having a good dream, came to like this feeling.
He had no choice but to bite the bullet and sit down next to Anuo.
Even when Bazel is in the room, he transforms into his beast form and lies down next to His Highness.
He can't turn into a fluffy big cat; his original form has a hard exoskeleton and sharp claws, and he is tall.
So, since His Highness wanted him to sleep with him, he had no choice but to sleep like this.
Sitar remained calm and composed, sitting next to Anno while looking at some documents.
Anno was yawning non-stop by then. Obsidian and Mingxiao packed up their models and left on their own. As usual, Bazel snuggled up to Anno and lay down next to her, glancing at Tanville in the process.
He was thinking that Caesar and the others had been putting on a show in front of Nono for a long time, but Tanville had managed to enter her room with just one dream.
He's the one who's more capable.
