Chapter 361: The Solution

Chapter 361: The Solution

After Anno finished the check-up, he gave a thumbs-up to his teammates and then jogged towards the inner field with Molly, supporting each other.

The team members looked at Anno wearing that cute raincoat and all glanced at their captain.

One of the team members exclaimed, "Our captain is really..."

It's been two years! I still haven't managed to win Anno's heart!

I didn't win her over, but I didn't give up either.

Anuo's boyfriends—no, her boyfriends—could hang out with her at the academy from time to time.

They didn't understand why Anuo, who already had several boyfriends, would have one more captain.

The team leader clearly didn't mind and even wanted to join.

Through the rain, they watched the figure running towards the venue, wearing an adorable bunny raincoat, and stopping in front of the venue.

A tall figure reached out and pulled her into his arms.

The rain was so heavy that they couldn't see very clearly, and they thought it was probably one of Anuo's boyfriends again.

Xi Mo stared at An Nuo's figure, watching the man in front of her help her take off her raincoat, smooth her long hair, and brush the wet hair from her cheeks.

Anno stood in front of him without moving, looking up at him.

The man wasn't the one she was with usually. In the past, men rarely approached her so proactively, maintaining a subtle distance and an indescribable respect towards her.

After spending more time with Anno, he was able to notice these subtle differences.

Which couple would get along like them?

They appear intimate, but it's more like a hierarchical relationship; they don't dare to take the initiative with her, while it's often Anuo who makes the first move.

So even though Anuo said these guys were all her boyfriends, he didn't really believe her.

But this one in front of them was different. Standing next to Anuo, he looked more natural and harmonious than the other men.

His primary genetic trait is avian, giving him excellent eyesight. He could see the man take a towel out of his backpack, wipe the rain off Anno's face, and drape a coat over her shoulders.

Anuo wrapped her arms around the man's waist, and the man lowered his head and rubbed his forehead against hers, the gesture intimate and natural, as if they had been doing this for a long time.

"All teams, please proceed to the track and wait..."

As the broadcast started, Xi Mo glanced in An Nuo's direction again. A cold gaze pierced through the heavy rain and shot towards him, sending a chill down his spine.

When he looked closely, the man was walking into the stadium with Anuo in his arms, leaving behind two silhouettes.

Inside the indoor stadium, the central electronic screen was broadcasting the competition, with aircraft flying over the sea, leaving only afterimages.

The sounds of waves and flashing lights are simultaneously emitted from the screen, and some marine creatures will leap out and attack the aircraft along the flight path.

The creatures in this sea area are very ferocious, and aircraft are very vulnerable at high speeds. If they are hit, they are very likely to crash.

"The organizers are really going all out!" Molly exclaimed, feeling a bit worried for the teams in these matches.

Anno leaned on Sital's shoulder, yawning as he watched the big screen.

After joining Xi Mo's team, she watched many match videos to better understand the competition. There are even more dangerous tracks than this, especially in the interstellar league, where the participating teams are selected from among the best. Compared to the dangers of the interstellar league tracks, the sea track is child's play.

"Tired?" Sitar took a blanket out of his backpack and covered her with it, letting her lie on his lap.

The competition has only just begun; she won't be going back.

Anuo told him, "Call me if Xi Mo and the others have any problems," and then fell asleep on his lap.

Two years ago, in order to suppress Caesar's heretical thoughts and lock that part of his consciousness deep in his mind, she used primal energy once again.

It hasn't had any major impact, except that I've been feeling sleepy more easily these past two years.

Fei Xing said that the best solution to Caesar's heresy was to keep him in his current state for the time being.

They need to suppress his heretical thinking, otherwise, even if he wins a challenge against Sitar, Sevier and the others will not let him go.

For the past two years, Caesar has remained the same as always, occasionally acting a little willful, but he has never shown any desire to challenge the male insect king.

Anno knew that Caesar would one day break through the mindset of his race again, and she might be able to find a better solution before that happened.

She didn't want Caesar to die like that, and she didn't want to see Sitar and Caesar turn against each other.

Sitar gently stroked her long hair and pulled the blanket around her.

Molly glanced at Anno, but after seeing the man beside her, she looked away and focused on watching the game.

This was the first time she had met this man. Although she knew that Anuo had several boyfriends, none of them had ever made her as afraid to look at him as she was now.

An invisible aura enveloped them, even though the man looked very gentle.

Moreover, when Nono had been with those other boys before, they weren't as intimate as this man. In comparison, this man seemed more like her boyfriend.

She couldn't stop imagining the relationship between them.

Could this be the true empress?

That's not right.

Molly recalled a time when they had extra classes in the evening. After class, they stayed in the classroom a little longer, waiting until everyone else had left before departing.

They were heading home in opposite directions. As she boarded the aircraft, one of her small models fell out of her pocket. As she picked it up, she glanced in the direction Anno was heading home.

I saw two figures pressed together under the streetlight.

The man with long silver hair looked like a god under the streetlights. He placed his hand on Anuo's face, looked at her with incredibly tender eyes, and then bent down to kiss her.

Anno gently patted his head, and he squatted down in front of Anno, carrying her on his back as he slowly walked away.

Molly was quite certain that the man at the academy gate last time was not the one beside her, but the feeling she had with Anno was the same as with this man.

That's strange.

Molly thought that when they were together, they felt more like family. Even when they were close together and kissing, there was no ambiguity between boyfriend and girlfriend. Instead, it felt warm and cozy.

Anno is only twenty years old. How can we create such an atmosphere in our interactions?

Thinking this, her gaze fell on the bag the man had placed to the side. Ever since she saw him at the door, he had been able to take out all sorts of things from his bag.

Blankets, towels, coats, water bottles, and all sorts of snacks that Anuo loves to eat—everything was prepared just right, as if Anuo were being taken care of like a child.

But they are a couple. The man has a strong presence, but Anno is not intimidated by his presence at all when she is with him.

She thought, no wonder Anno always called these men family; only family lasts a lifetime.
