Chapter 424: Gathering Information
"Babies grow so fast, it's just right to buy a bigger one."
Anuo and his friends were in a clothing store, where the proprietress was enthusiastically helping them choose clothes.
The proprietress looked at Anno and Sitar, the two adorable little cubs, and was extremely fond of them.
"Look how beautiful these two little babies are! Their parents have really good genes."
The proprietress sighed as she helped the two of them choose clothes, while Lingjiu and Mingxiao also helped them pick out outfits.
Mingxiao couldn't stand the clothes. Whether in the palace or in Tianyun, their little prince always wore the best quality clothes. His clothes were basically prepared by the king and queen. This planet was not developed, and most of the residents were gathered in this city, which was very crowded. Many residents were still worried about food and clothing, and the things sold were relatively cheap and durable.
Mingxiao had already asked the proprietress to bring out the most expensive clothes in the store, but the quality of the clothes still felt very rough. Anuo was only wearing one set of clothes at the moment. They estimated that they would be staying here for a while and would need to buy a lot of things.
"This is very good."
Anuo grabbed Mingxiao's hand, which was picking and choosing, and shook his head at him.
She has never been picky about food and clothing. Although she has the best food and clothing since returning to the Zerg, it does not mean that she has abandoned her past life.
She had lived a life of extreme hardship since childhood. This city, compared to any other base she had ever lived in, was already a better and more prosperous place. That's how she grew up; the past ten years were etched into her very being. If Mingxiao continued to be so picky, the landlady would probably get angry.
It wasn't that Mingxiao disliked it, but rather that he had grown up among the Zerg, where resources and money were never lacking. Everything was of the highest quality and benefited every member of their family. These were things they had never lacked and were used to.
So even though they were brave and hardworking on the battlefield, they could not imagine that she had lived such a difficult life in the past. After she returned to the Zerg, everyone wanted to make up for everything and give her the best of everything in hopes of making up for her past.
"These are all good."
Lingjiu held up a piece of workwear to Anno, then picked up a slightly larger one and held it up to Sital.
After being stopped by Anuo, Mingxiao didn't say anything more. He touched the fabric of the clothes, not even looking at the style. The most important thing was that his little prince was comfortable.
The landlady was a shrewd woman and quickly realized that Mingxiao and his companions were no ordinary people. She had lived in Midu for almost half her life and rarely saw people as noble as these two little children.
She noticed that the red-haired man was very picky about the quality of his clothes, and the cyborg had a very powerful aura, with sharp eyes that hinted at a hint of ferocity—the kind of temperament one would have only acquired after having a lot of blood on their hands.
Midu has all sorts of people, including some of high status, but they wouldn't specifically come to shops like these that cater to ordinary people.
She looked at the two little cubs sitting on the stool swinging their legs and smiled at Mingxiao, "Oh my, we are honored guests. You must have just arrived in Midu, right? Let me tell you, Midu doesn't really have anything very good. The best resources are all up there."
The proprietress pointed upwards with her finger.
"The things in Midu are enough for our daily lives. If we want something better, we'll have to go up there to get it."
Hearing what the proprietress said, Anuo and Mingxiao exchanged a glance.
Anno said to Mingxiao in the consciousness network: "Little Mingxiao, go ask the landlady if you can find a way to communicate with other star systems on there."
Mingxiao agreed and asked the proprietress to help them pack up all the clothes. The proprietress called over a shop assistant to take the clothes they had chosen to the front desk, and Lingjiu followed to pay. Right now, only Lingjiu had money, as Star Coins weren't accepted here.
After seeing Ling Jiu pay, Ming Xiao pulled the proprietress aside and asked.
They are still considered to have been captured by Zero Nine, but they haven't shown any intention to escape, so Zero Nine's emotions are relatively stable. Before the Anno Core is unlocked, they can't provoke Zero Nine. They've all seen his obsessive desire to kill; when he gets ruthless, he'll even kill himself.
The proprietress was pulled aside by Mingxiao. When he asked how to contact the outside world, she said, "It's difficult. Many years ago, a war that almost destroyed the Leica Galaxy occurred. The war created a huge space graveyard outside the galaxy, completely isolating this galaxy from other galaxies. Other galaxies can come in, but we can't get out, and we can't use any communication equipment to contact them."
Mingxiao said, "Is there really no way at all?"
The proprietress looked around and whispered, "Yes, we do have some, but I'm afraid you won't be able to get there."
Mingxiao smiled and said, "It's alright, just tell us, whether we can go or not is our business."
As he spoke, Mingxiao slipped a small, high-quality energy stone into her hand.
