Chapter 83: Hospitalization
When Anno woke up, it was already late at night. Lokin was sitting on a chair by the hospital bed, handling some matters.
Her gaze swept around the room. The room was cozy, somewhat similar to the room she had in Canghai Star.
A warm yellow chandelier hangs overhead, and various cute decorations adorn the ceiling. A carpet covers the floor, and fluffy plush toys are scattered everywhere.
Above the sofa directly in front of her, there were hats of various styles, with her favorite jellyfish hat hanging in the middle. Below the sofa was a row of gray otter plush toys of different sizes and colors, as if all kinds of gray otters had been collected.
Looking at this room, she felt an immense sense of peace.
She turned her head and, as was her habit, looked for Luo Jin's figure.
Seeing her sitting right next to me, my gaze softened involuntarily, and I simply looked at her quietly.
As if sensing something, Luo Jin looked away from the projection screen of the personal terminal and looked at her. Seeing that she was staring at him, he immediately turned off the personal terminal, got up and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Baby's awake? Are you hungry? Is there anything else that's bothering you?"
Anno opened her mouth to speak, but her throat was so dry that she couldn't utter a sound.
Luo Jin quickly opened the thermos, poured a cup of warm water, helped Anuo up from the bed, and held the cup to her lips.
Anno took a sip and found the water sweet. Her eyes lit up, and she looked at Luo Jin and said, "It's sweet."
Hearing her slightly hoarse voice, Luo Jin affectionately patted her head, "Daddy put honey in it, baby, drink a few more sips."
Anno held Luo Jin's hand and drank the entire cup of honey water. She slept very soundly without any dreams, but felt as if she were sinking in a swamp. After drinking the honey water, her mental state finally improved a little.
Tang Ting pushed the door open and saw that An Nuo was awake. She put the insulated lunchbox on the table, went over and touched her head, "Baby, is there anything else that feels uncomfortable?"
Anno shook her head, then said, "I'm hungry."
As soon as she mentioned being hungry, her stomach rumbled. Tang Ting raised the table placed on the hospital bed, put the insulated lunchbox on it, and opened it.
Winnie and her family were constantly worried about the baby at home, afraid that the baby would be hungry when he woke up, so they made a meal of complementary food for him every two or three hours.
This insulated lunchbox was just delivered, and it contains food prepared for them.
Lokin took out the utensils, intending to feed Anno, but she took the spoon herself.
Knowing that she didn't like being fed, Lokin had no choice but to place the baby food in front of her, adjust the height of the table to suit her, and push it a little further in front of her.
Tang Ting took out the formula and went to the side to prepare the milk for her. After preparing the milk, he placed the bottle in front of Anuo and took out the instrument to scan her body.
Looking at the various physical data displayed on the instrument, Tang Ting adjusted the drug input of the medical device on the computer.
Anno is too sensitive to the medical environment. Right now, they are trying to avoid using medical equipment in front of her, and then gradually help her desensitize to the medical environment. This requires long-term psychological treatment and cannot be rushed.
Now even the IV tubing connected to Anno is decorated with tiny, colorful fluorescent dots.
These are medical staff who previously participated in Anor's treatment. They used a safe and edible material to attach to the transparent infusion tube, making it look shiny and quite beautiful.
The IV catheter and the fixation straps on her hand were also decorated with colorful cartoon drawings, painted in various colors.
Upon seeing these things, Anuo instantly realized that she should still be in the ward and understood Tang Ting and the others' good intentions.
She felt a warm current flow from her heart to all parts of her body, and her nose tingled slightly. She ate her baby food in big bites, suppressing her tears.
When people are sick, their mental state is very fragile, but she had long since developed a heart of steel. When did she start to cry so easily?
Is the baby awake?
Winnie called again via video call. Locke pointed the camera at Anno and said, "The baby just woke up and is doing very well. Don't worry, Mother. We're here watching over you. It's so late, you should get some rest too."
Winnie and Philt breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Anno eating obediently with her bowl in her hand. As long as she could eat, that was good. Seeing how much she enjoyed her food, they knew she was in good condition. People can't eat when they're not feeling well.
Just then, Doris and Conson pushed open the door and came in, followed by a smart cart with a lot of things on it.
Tang Ting said that Anuo would need to be hospitalized for a period of time to thoroughly screen for all the things she was allergic to and to receive desensitization treatment.
They went back and got some of Anno's daily necessities.
After Tang Ting and his family adopted Anno, they began preparing a nursery at home.
Anno's clothes, formula, baby food, toys, and other necessities were all prepared before they returned.
They originally wanted to transfer Anno to the best hospital in downtown Isabel, but they thought that this hospital was closer to home and quieter, and they were afraid that she would not be able to adapt if they took her around all the time.
This hospital has all the equipment needed to treat Anorexic diseases. Although it is not a Fire Seed Specialist Hospital, some of the medical staff here are licensed to treat allergy symptoms.
Seeing that Anno was awake, Doris went over to touch her head, but stopped when she placed her hand on Anno's head. She leaned down and softly asked Anno, "Baby, may I touch you?"
Anno looked up from her food and looked at her. Luo Jin wiped the food crumbs from the corner of her mouth. "Baby, this is Grandma, and Daddy's mom."
Anno swallowed the food in her mouth and nodded. She recognized them; Doris and Conson had come with them when she arrived at the hospital.
Seeing that she didn't resist, Doris smiled and ruffled her hair. "You don't need to call me Grandma, it makes you sound old. Just call me Doris."
Looking at the stunningly beautiful woman in front of her, who looked no more than twenty-five or twenty-six years old, Anuo felt a little awkward calling her "grandmother."
Conson sat down beside Anno's bed and took out a hat to put on her head.
“Baby, I’m your grandpa. You can just call me Kangsen.”
Anno listened to Kang Sen's gentle tone, which sounded very similar to Tang Ting's. It seemed that Tang Ting's personality was more like her father's.
The two talked with Anno for a while, then went to the side to pack their luggage, taking out each item and putting it away.
This hospital room has everything you need, much like a typical home room.
Doris said, "I don't know how long the baby will stay, so I just brought these clothes over for now. Before you came back, Conson and I took them out to disinfect and wash them. Anyway, it's not far from home, so we can go back and get anything we need."
Looking at the two suitcases full of clothes, Luo Jin said, "That should be enough. The baby won't stay in the hospital for too long."
After finishing her complementary food, Anuo picked up the bottle on the table and continued drinking. She hadn't eaten anything for almost a day, and even after finishing a bowl of complementary food, she still felt unsatisfied.
