Chapter Sixty-Seven: Release
Tang Ting was slightly taken aback when he saw her tearful eyes, and then reached out to hug her.
"Baby, it's okay to be angry with Mommy and Daddy, to be unhappy, or to hate things you don't like."
As Anno listened, she slowly hugged Tang Ting's neck and buried her face in his shoulder.
These days, Tang Ting has been taking care of her in every little detail, and whenever he has a spare moment, he goes to help her prepare her medication.
He was always busy, busy with her big and small affairs. If she coughed twice, he would give her a thorough medical check-up.
She had never met such a gentle elder.
“This isn’t right,” Anno said in a muffled voice.
She felt that she shouldn't vent these emotions on people who were good to her.
Upon hearing Anuo's words, Tang Ting and Luo Jin exchanged a glance, remaining silent, both feeling deeply sorry for her.
What has she gone through to have such thoughts at such a young age?
Tang Ting gently patted her back, "Baby, you don't need anything when you're with Mommy and Daddy, right? You can show all your emotions to Mommy and Daddy. We are the people who love you most in this world. Besides us, your older brother and sister will also love you. In the future, even more people will love you. You never have to be afraid."
Upon hearing this, Anuo wrapped her arms around Tang Ting's neck and hugged her even tighter.
She used to have some resistance towards her father, but that has all disappeared now.
"I'm scared."
After a long while, Anno finally uttered these words.
If she hadn't been reborn and met so many people who loved her, she wouldn't have been afraid or panicked. She had already gotten used to the life she had struggled through in the past. Although she had longed for something, she was also very clear-headed and knew what kind of era she was born in.
But things are different now. Her world is different, and the people she meets are different.
She received the love and family she had longed for in the past.
Their love softened her hardened armor, letting her know for the first time that she could be vulnerable.
"Baby, be good, don't be afraid."
Lokin kept stroking her head and gently coaxing her.
Anno slowly lifted her head from Tang Ting's shoulder and glanced at Luo Jin. Seeing her beautiful green eyes gazing at her with utmost tenderness, she buried her head back into Tang Ting's shoulder.
After a while, the two saw Anuo's shoulders tremble slightly, and she made a soft sobbing sound, as if she was trying her best to suppress her crying.
In a short while, the crying grew louder and louder. She buried her face in Tang Ting's shoulder, and the muffled sobs almost broke their hearts.
She hadn't cried like a real child in a long time.
In those hazy memories, she seemed to have cried out in the snow and ice, her figure so small, like a lone young animal separated from its flock in the vast white earth.
She felt she shouldn't have been born so lonely, with no one by her side, so she searched and searched for many years until she had adapted to this kind of life and forgotten what she was looking for.
But subconsciously she still searches, feeling that she shouldn't be alone.
Anno burst into tears, leaving her two parents, who had already raised six children, completely at a loss.
But seeing her finally burst into tears, I slowly breathed a sigh of relief.
They always felt that Nono was suppressing herself. From the time they brought her to Casa Star until now, apart from the initial resistance and opposition, she has always been well-behaved and quiet. Even if they occasionally saw that she didn't like a certain item or food, she would accept it.
They wanted to tell her that they were a real family, that she didn't need to carefully try to please them, that she didn't need to force herself to like things she didn't like, and that she didn't need to feel guilty or annoyed for getting angry at them.
She can have any of the emotions that a normal child should have.
They not only wanted to soften her thorns and soothe the wounds in her heart, but also to let her truly be herself again.
As a member of the Fire Seed, she already faced many more restrictions than the other two races. They didn't want a perfect child; they just wanted her to be happy and healthy.
Anuo cried for a long time, until she was exhausted from crying, and then she picked up the bottle and continued to drink her milk, sobbing.
She got out of Tang Ting's arms, not letting him and Luo Jin continue to hold her, and walked towards the living room rest area, her body trembling as she held the baby bottle.
She never liked to show her vulnerable side in front of others, and she was also very shy. After crying so hard, she felt embarrassed again.
The couple watched her sobbing as she clutched her bottle, her pitiful little face making them feel both heartbroken and a little amused.
Anunu is so cute.
The person who gave her this name must have cherished her dearly.
Aloo means the most precious offspring of the Zerg, their treasure.
Now that this precious child is in their hands, they will certainly take good care of her. Perhaps one day, they will be able to unlock the secrets within her.
But for now, they will keep this secret carefully. Right now, all they want is for her to be a happy and carefree baby. The adult world and all those complicated things are not for her to touch right now.
The two looked at Anuo with affection as she stood in front of the sofa, her back to them, drinking milk. As she drank, she leaned her upper body on the sofa and soon fell asleep.
Lokin gently walked over to her, squatted down, took the bottle from her hand, brushed away the hair that was wet and stuck to her cheeks from crying, and carried her to bed to sleep.
Anuo slept until the afternoon, when it started raining again. She sat by the French windows, hugging her doll, staring blankly at the rain outside.
She cried this morning, and her eyes are still red and swollen. Tuka and the others were going to play, but Lokin saw that Anno was in a bad mood, so he didn't let them come over.
Huo Yin, who had been with Anuo for the past few days, has been in a coma since yesterday. He often does this, and Tang Ting can't find anything wrong with him.
Anuo looked at the incessant rain and felt inexplicably restless. She wanted to see the sunshine and go outside.
She didn't play with her favorite toys today; she just stared blankly into space, unable to concentrate on anything.
She didn't even turn on her personal computer to study. This manic mood started in the morning, and after she had the idea of going out, this manic mood burned like a fire.
She looked down at the street through the drizzling rain and mist. The street was decorated with colorful flags and fluttering colorful spheres. The street was bustling with people, and even the air traffic was busier. All kinds of vehicles, whether flying in the sky or running on the ground, were decorated with beautiful ornaments.
It seemed much more lively than when I visited Baisha Lake a few days ago, and it was raining outside.
It's been raining for the past two days, and I've never seen so many people before. The music coming from outside makes it feel like we're celebrating some kind of festival.
