Chapter 246: Little Sitar
Sitar was unable to live with Anunu as he had hoped.
When Séville returned, she saw her darling embracing a handsome young man with rosy lips and white teeth, drinking together.
The boy sat upright on the sofa, and Anunu not only drank the wine herself, but also poured it into the boy's mouth.
He's drunk again.
However, the boy didn't indulge Anunu and would always take the wine away.
Anunu, however, insisted that Sitar drink the wine, saying, "Sitar, this tastes like grapes, it's sweet, try it and see if you like it?"
Sitar looked into Anunu's bright eyes and took a sip from her hand.
This wine has a high alcohol content, and even though it's sweet, it's still quite spicy.
Sital's five senses are very sensitive, and the first time he drinks, the taste will only make him feel strange.
Not only alcohol, but he also finds the taste of other solid foods strange. He follows the instinct to grow, pursuing a better and stronger way to grow and gain power.
For him, the only better option is ore containing pure energy.
This is an instinct driven by genes, but he is gradually trying to restrain this instinct and accept what Anunu gives him.
He loved her instinctively because of his genes, yet he also restrained his instinct to want to make her happy.
Anunu had wanted him to try other wines, but as soon as the bottle was brought to his lips, he sensed that he didn't like them.
He always had this cold expression, too calm. Although you couldn't tell what emotions he was feeling, it was as if he didn't like anything.
The joyful expression vanished instantly.
She pouted slightly and took the wine away.
Whenever Anno gets drunk, she acts like a child, always messing around with her family members, who obey her every word and do whatever she asks.
No matter what Anuo did for them, they were happy as long as they were by her side.
So when Anno starts causing trouble, they don't hold back and do whatever makes them happy, because her family members are also happy and like what she does. When she's drunk, she doesn't think too much about it.
The Zerg genes gave her an innate emotional bond as an Overlord, making her feelings for Sitar and her familiars different. However, she was used to the way she interacted with her familiars and couldn't immediately separate Sitar from her other familiars.
Driven by an instinctive liking to stay by his side, she wanted to share everything she loved with him.
But she also understood that he was a queen insect of the same rank as her.
His way of thinking is different from that of his family.
Even if she shares something with him that he doesn't like, he won't be happy.
With that thought, Anunu, who always caused a ruckus when drunk, quieted down.
He held the bottle of wine but didn't drink it; he just sat curled up on the sofa.
A beautiful, jade-like hand reached out to her, intending to take the wine she was holding.
Anunu turned to look at Sitar, then leaned to the side, clutching the bottle tightly, refusing to give it to him.
Sitar moved closer to her, and Anunu continued to move to the side. Sitar moved closer, and Anunu continued to move to the side until she sat on the very edge of the sofa, where there was nowhere left to move. She curled up into a small ball and ignored Sitar.
Sevier and Augsis leaned against the balcony, watching Anunu throw a tantrum with some surprise.
“Anunu…”
Just as Sitar was about to say something to her, Sevier stepped forward and said, "Sitar, come with me."
Sitar's gaze lingered on Anunu for a moment before he stood up and looked at Sevier.
Sevier extended her hand to him, and Sitar's eyes flickered. After a moment's hesitation, he placed his hand in hers.
“It’s too late, you and Anunu should both rest.” Sevier led him out of Anunu’s room, not letting him stay with Anunu, but letting him stay in the room next door instead.
He and Anunu are currently in their infancy, so the Queen's words are not commands to them, but rather the discipline of a guardian.
"Take these few days to get used to the new environment." Sevier put a new quantum computer on his wrist.
Sitar has only received the Zerg's inherited memories so far; there is still much for him to learn.
Because Sitar's appearance was so sudden, they were not fully prepared, so they temporarily assigned him two more familiars, and also had Anunu's two familiars follow him for the time being.
After Sevier settled Sitar in, she went into Anunu's room and saw Augsis holding her and comforting her.
When she went over, she saw that Anunu had fallen asleep with her head on Augsis's shoulder.
Sevier took Anunu from Augsis's arms, gently placed her on the bed, covered her with a blanket, patted her softly, and asked Augsis, "Have you retrieved the eggshell sample from Sitar?"
“It’s been retrieved and is already being tested,” Augsis said.
When Anunu brought Sitar back, he had already begun to send people to find his eggshell.
However, finding the place where he was born was quite difficult, but fortunately he could find it through Anunu's memories in the consciousness network.
Seeing the place where Sitar was born in the consciousness network greatly surprised him and Sevier, as it was the first time they had ever seen such a place in the abyss.
They didn't go to the Abyss very often. The space inside the Abyss was unpredictable, and it was only inhabited by some luminous creatures. It wasn't much different from other places on the Zerg planet, except that the energy was much more concentrated.
The Zerg have explored the Abyss many times before, but this place has never been the site of their discovery.
Otherwise, it would definitely be recorded in the inherited memories.
Both of them had examined Sitar's consciousness and his energy response, and apart from his size and age not matching that of a cub, everything else was fine.
Sevier took out a glass tube and waved it in front of Augsis. "Go check his bone age."
The glass tube contained blood that had just been taken from Sital's finger; it was a deep blue color.
Sitar's original form is similar to Sevier's, but their blood is different; Sevier's blood is golden.
They are not a branch.
Only when it appears as a humanoid shape will the blood be red.
Although Sitar is a newborn cub, his mind is not like that of a cub. The inherited memories have merged with his consciousness very quickly, and his ability to receive information is much stronger than that of a newborn cub.
Now, both Sevier and Augsis have a hypothesis, but it still needs to be confirmed.
Regardless of the circumstances, Sitar is undoubtedly the male insect king, but his insect eggs are definitely not something that appeared recently.
midnight.
Anno woke up from her sleep, rubbed her eyes and looked around, but did not see Sitar.
She checked the time; it was 3 a.m.
She was still drinking around 8 pm last night, and Sitar was with her. Wasn't he supposed to be sharing a room with her?
She used her senses to discover that Sitar had moved to the next room.
The mother left a message on the consciousness network, and now she won't let them live together.
She drank alcohol yesterday...
Soon, she recalled her memories of being drunk in her mind network.
She sat on the bed in silence for a while, then got off the bed, casually put on a coat, and walked out of the room.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Sitar come out of the next room. The two stood there, their eyes meeting.
Sitar walked up to her and opened his palm to her.
Anno looked down and saw a small statue carved from mineral in his palm.
In terms of appearance, it is exactly the same as Sitar.
Sitar took Anno's hand and placed the little figure in her palm, "Little Sitar."
Anno looked at the exquisite little statue in her hand in astonishment, "You made this yourself?"
Sital: "Hmm."
"I can't shrink. If you like a smaller version of me, I'll make another one for you."
Anno stroked the small statue, a warm feeling welling up inside him. It turned out that he had kept her words in mind all along.
"You didn't sleep all night?"
Anno glanced at him with his mind and knew that he spent his nights carving this small statue.
Sital: "I've slept too much, I'm not sleepy."
Anno: "That won't work. Newborn cubs need to get enough sleep."
Sitar did not consider himself a cub.
He watched as Anunu yawned several times in a row. After drinking, she would sleep for at least half a day and wouldn't wake up unless something happened.
The reason he couldn't sleep, besides making this small statue, was also because she wasn't by his side, and he couldn't sleep.
However, the Queen does not allow them to live together for the time being.
Seeing her sleepy look, he touched her cheek. "Then I'll go back to sleep, you go back to sleep too."
Anno yawned again, "Okay..."
Both of them turned and walked towards the room.
Anno entered the room, stopped at the door, bit her lower lip, and then turned to leave.
As soon as she came out, she saw Sitar standing at the door looking at her.
The two looked at each other for a while, then walked toward each other at the same time. After taking only a few steps, they heard several footsteps approaching them.
Anno stopped in her tracks; it was her mother and her family.
Her mother now forbids her from sharing a room with Sitar.
As the sound grew closer, Anno glanced at Sitar and whispered to him, "See you tomorrow," before returning to her room.
