Chapter 282: Call him Your Highness

Chapter 282: Call him Your Highness

This period is the rainy season on Claw Planet, and Anno can't go anywhere while staying indoors. She usually sleeps for a long time, spending half of her day sleeping, so she can stay put.

Sital, on the other hand, sleeps very little. He has slept enough over the years; three hours a day is more than enough for him.

Anunu gets incredibly sleepy before 10 a.m. every day. Once Anunu is sound asleep, he gets up to do his own thing.

When Anunu was about to wake up, he would go and sleep with her for a while.

All the intergalactic worlds are currently in the final stages of development, and Augsis has him follow Sevier, as this is a stage where he can learn a great deal.

Anunu is different from the previous Ohmu. Perhaps she has suffered too much, or perhaps her race is not suited for combat. She is quite special among the Ohmu. Augsis and Seville hope to lay a solid foundation for Anunu's future succession at this time.

What they wanted to give Anunu was a stable and powerful kingdom from now until the very last moment of her decline. They did not want her to suffer any more pain; this was their long-term plan.

Therefore, they had to be strict with Sitar, who would later become Anunu's consort and advisor. His job was to resolve all of his queen's worries.

In front of the fireplace in the living room, Anno, wrapped in a blanket, leaned against Bazel, reading a book in her hand.

A third of the year on Claw Planet is in the rainy season, with a humid climate. Anno lived there for more than a month and actually grew to like this season.

It was only a few degrees Celsius, so it was still a bit cold.

There were no cooling devices installed inside, and apart from the computer, there were basically no other technological instruments.

They didn't even install lights; they used lanterns made from Zerg lighting ore.

The light from the lanterns was sufficient, and with the burning fireplace, the room was bathed in a warm, yellow glow.

She still doesn't like overly bright, incandescent lighting, nor does she like white walls, as they make her feel a sense of emptiness and coldness.

So when they came to live on Claw Planet, they chose a wooden house.

The wooden house has been soaked by rain for a month and is already a bit damp.

Although dehumidifiers were placed in the house, they only kept the interior dry. The wood in the cabin couldn't withstand such continuous soaking, and there was still a damp smell.

Sitar and his family discussed it and decided to move Anunu to a different place and rebuild the house.

Knowing Anunu's living preferences, they didn't have time to build a new one when they arrived. Instead, they found an existing house. The wooden houses on Claws Star were mostly for the preferences of some travelers, and there weren't many of them. After all, the climate on Claws Star wasn't suitable for wooden houses. The owners had to tear down and rebuild the wooden houses every year because they would get too damp and rotten from being soaked in rainwater, and maintenance was too troublesome. Building a wooden house didn't cost much money.

Construction on the house will begin in the next couple of days. They need to choose a new location and select rain-resistant wood. They are currently searching the entire galaxy for better building materials. They want everything to be better and to suit Anno's preferences and habits.

When Sitar returned, Anunu was already asleep, leaning against Bazar.

The room wasn't big, and Bazel's beast form almost filled the entire living room. She actually liked Bazel's beast form; when Bazel was with her, he was mostly in his beast form.

During her time on Earth, the little warmth and security she received came from animals, so she developed a fondness for these furry beasts.

Xinghuo was sent away today. After finishing some political affairs with the Queen, he went to Xinghuo's new home to take a look and returned a little late.

Before Anno woke up in the morning, Sevier came over when she had some free time.

She was so busy this past month that she temporarily put aside the matter of Starfire. Originally, the matter of this little cub was not a big deal. During the two days that Starfire was with Anno, she repeatedly confirmed with Sitar and the family that Starfire had not caused Anno any trouble and that she was quite well-behaved and obedient. So she put the matter aside for the time being.

In any case, the child was going to be sent away and couldn't stay with Anuo for long. Anuo was soft-hearted and saw how attached the child was to her, so she let her stay. They all knew that Anunu wouldn't really treat her like a daughter.

The Zerg are an inherently xenophobic race, and only in recent years have they gradually become more willing to interact with other races. However, it is absolutely impossible for their Overlord to recognize an outsider as his daughter.

Sevier and the others knew that Anunu was soft-hearted, but not so soft-hearted as to want to raise a child. It was just that the core fragment was still inside Xinghuo's body, and the connection with the core made her feel a bit closer to the child.

Sitar was also waiting for this sensation to weaken before sending the spark away.

Xinghuo was quite afraid of Sevier, the Zerg Queen. When she first met Sevier at the front-line main base, she was intimidated by Sevier's imposing presence.

Her eyes, which had been brimming with tears, instantly welled up when she saw Sevier.

She was precocious and knew a lot, but she didn't dare call Séville "Grandma," instead obediently calling her "Queen."

Seeing the little baby, Sevier didn't feel much. Although he was Dennis's enhanced human, he was just a newborn cub. She didn't need to be wary of such a small child. However, she couldn't call Anunu "Mom".

On this point, Sevier was quite adamant.

So today, having some free time, she came to see her precious Anunu and took Xinghuo away.

When she arrived, Xinghuo was peeking into Anunu's room.

"Is Mom still not awake?"

She had barely finished asking the question when she felt a powerful aura coming from behind her.

She turned around and saw Sevier's tall figure standing behind her, looming over her like a mountain.

"Little one, what did you call my Anunu?"

Xinghuo shrank back, too frightened to speak.

She instinctively wanted to look at her mother's retinue, but with the Queen present, they could only stand obediently to the side.

They are usually nice to her because of Anno; taking care of a small cub is too easy for them.

Now that the Queen has arrived, how dare they do anything in front of her?

Sevier lifted Starfire up to her face with one hand, and Starfire froze in fright when they looked at each other at eye level.

"Little one, what did I say to you last time? What did you call my Anunu?"

Xinghuo had no choice but to obediently reply, "Call me Your Highness."

Sevier handed her to her retinue, saying, "That's more like it."

Her Anunu herself is still a baby, so why would she call her mother?

She can't even call her "sister," because she only has one precious daughter, Anunu. Everyone in the Lokin family knows to call her Princess Anunu.

Sevier saw that Anunu was still sleeping, kissed her little face, and then took Starfire away.

Xinghuo certainly didn't want to leave and tried to struggle, but one look from Sevier made her stop moving. She stammered, "Can I wait until Mom... until Her Highness wakes up before I leave? I want to say goodbye to her."

Sevier raised an eyebrow: "Farewell? You'll never see Anunu again?"

"Since you intend to never see Anunu again, then I will stay with you until Anunu wakes up, and you can say goodbye slowly."

Xinghuo immediately said, "No! I'm not saying goodbye!"

"Then let's go."

Sevier completely disregarded the little girl's cleverness; she was indeed smart, but not nearly as clever as Sevier.

And so, Starfire was taken away. Sevier gave her to the department in the Northern River system that was in charge of cub adoptions, and out of respect for Anno, she personally received the family.

This also lets Xinghuo know that this family was found by Sevier, so that she will behave herself and not bother Anunu when she grows up.

Sitar asked Bazel and learned that Anunu had just fallen asleep. Afraid of waking her, he went to the bathroom to take a shower first.

It was raining heavily outside, and he was covered in dampness.

When Bai Yan saw that Sitar had returned, he went into Anno's room and lit a kind of incense to remove the dampness, which would make Anno sleep more comfortably and prevent him from feeling uncomfortable after sleeping for a long time.

When Sital came out after taking a shower, Anno was already curled up in a ball, almost huddled under Bazel's belly.

He bent down, picked her up, and prepared to take her back to her room to sleep.

"You're back..."

As soon as Sitar picked Anno up, she woke up, glanced at him with half-open eyes, snuggled against him, and then closed her eyes again.

After placing Anno on the bed, Sitar picked up the pajamas that Baiyan had prepared for her and gently helped her change.

Anno wasn't fast asleep either. Sitar lay down beside her and pulled her into his arms. "I went to see Xinghuo. She was very well-behaved and didn't cry."

"Okay, that's good."

Xinghuo belongs to the Northern River system and deserves a family to help her grow up normally, just like Karina.
