Anno followed the inhuman aura as she weaved through the narrow alleys. Night had just fallen, and this area of the street was located in the city center, bustling and lively.

At the man's command, the whips in everyone's hands were replaced with sharp blades imbued with energy, and they pounced on the white wolf.
Anno could sense the energy emanating from them, an energy that was not possessed by ordinary non-humans. White Wolf would likely suffer if he were to confront them.
"White Wolf, run! Don't fight them!"
After the white wolf pounced on the two men who were attacking them, it turned around and fled quickly with Anno on its back.
Those people were no match for the enormous white wolf. After chasing it for a while, they watched as the wolf disappeared into the night.
Anno rode on the back of the white wolf, watching him leap and race through the streets with her. Neon lights flashed past her, like a flowing, colorful river behind her. His movements were light and agile, and she didn't feel the slightest bump.
Touching the thick, soft fur beneath her, Anno pressed her face against his back. "Thank you, White Wolf," she whispered.
The white wolf seemed to hear her voice and turned his head to look at her.
Half an hour later, the white wolf led her away from the city center and headed up the mountain along the winding mountain road north of the capital.
Anno glanced at her surroundings. She had been here twice before with her family. It was a mountain forest near the capital, with parks and villas.
The white wolf led her to the courtyard of a villa.
This villa is separated from the other villas by some distance, and is surrounded by trees on both sides.
The white wolf lay down and looked back at Anno.
Anno jumped off his back, looked around, and asked, "Is this where you live?"
The white wolf responded with a groan.
The courtyard in front of the door is paved with stone bricks, and a sycamore tree is planted against the wall. It is late autumn now, and many fallen leaves have drifted down into the yard. It seems that he lives here alone, and not often, because no one cleans the yard.

The first floor consists of a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The living room is covered with a thick carpet, and there are dolls and soft blankets placed everywhere. There is a fireplace in front of the sofa. The balcony on one side of the living room connects to the back yard, where dim yellow lights are shining, and the trees are rustling in the evening breeze.
The small villa nestled in the mountains looks very cozy and tranquil.
Anno wandered around the backyard and returned to the living room. She picked up a rabbit doll from the floor and sat down in front of the sofa, which was very soft and had a texture she liked.

As soon as she sat down, the electric fireplace in front of her turned on automatically. The season was starting to get cold, especially since this was in the mountains. She didn't answer her mother's and brother's calls several times.
"I... I'm at a friend's house," Anuo quickly came up with an excuse. "I'm asleep, Dad. I'll be going back first thing tomorrow morning."
Hearing that she was alright, Tang Ting was relieved. "Then Dad won't disturb your rest anymore. Do you want me to pick you up tomorrow?"
"No need, Dad, I can go back by myself."
"Okay, be careful."
After hanging up the phone, Anuo breathed a sigh of relief. She scratched her head, wondering how she had fallen asleep.
Suddenly, she smelled the aroma of food. Following the scent, she found the kitchen light was on.
