Chapter 132: The Key

Chapter 132: The Key

"If you want to see them, I can take you there."

Brightman followed closely behind her. Huo Yin grabbed his arm, trying to pull him away, but his movements suddenly stopped as soon as she touched him.

A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes, and he froze in place.

Brightman shook his hand off expressionlessly. "Don't touch me again."

Su Ya quickly pulled Huo Yin to her side. She knew Huo Yin's personality; he didn't like others getting close to Nuonuo, but he had never reacted so strongly before.

She didn't want Huo Yin to become enemies with Brightman. Although Brightman was a perfect heir, he always had a lifeless feeling about him, like a machine without emotions.

Now that Hailier has been taken away for investigation, she has to protect Huo Yin, their only child in all these years.

Even if the child has an eccentric personality and never gets close to them, he is the child they chose, and they love him no matter what he is like.

Huo Yin stared at Brightman's back, a certain consciousness controlling him, preventing him from stopping Brightman's actions.

He sensed something special about Brightman.

Anno looked at the boy standing in front of her and put on the jellyfish hat.

She asked, "Do you know where they are?"

Brightman nodded: "I know, I'll take you there."

Winnie walked over to Anno and picked her up. "Baby, let's not disturb Mommy and Daddy's work, okay?"

Brightman looked at Winnie, "Why didn't you tell her...?"

“Bryman”.

Dennis interrupted Brightman, walked up to him, and patted him on the shoulder. "We should go back."

Brightman looked at Anno, "Stay a little longer."

Dennis leaned down slightly and whispered in his ear, "There will be plenty of time later. We're not in a hurry. There are many other things waiting for you to do."

Brightman didn't say anything; he wanted to take her away right now.

But he doesn't yet have the right to simply snatch her away and bring her to his side.

Thinking of this, he said to Dennis, "Let's go back."

Go back and seize power as soon as possible, so that no one can stop him from doing what he wants or having whatever he desires.

Dennis patted his head. "That's right."

The sea near the floating island of Tianta.

Caesar stepped out of the portal and landed directly on the water. The water immediately froze, and the ice spread outwards. This was the ability of Tanvir, one of Anunu's seven great familiars.

Caesar and Tanville stood on the sea for a while, and then they saw Mingxiao and Secris flying towards them.

They landed on the sea, folded their wings, and walked up to Caesar.

Secris said, "There are no weapons or guards up there, but there are quite a few winged people. We've searched a lot over the past two days, but we haven't been able to sense His Highness's core."

Mingxiao said, "We also went to see the tower guarded by the winged people. The tower was empty; it was just a totem that the winged people worshipped. Those winged people are quite powerful and have big tempers, but we just need to avoid them."

Secris looked at Caesar and said, "Caesar, it's time to bring His Highness here."

After hearing this, Caesar said to them, "Your Highness is going to bring him along, but I have made a new discovery and need to bring one more person."

"who?"

“Bryman, the heir of the Northern River, possesses the core aura of His Highness.”

The group exchanged glances. How could an heir have been tainted by His Highness's core aura?

This isn't something that happens simply by touching it or staying with the core.

"He is the key."

Tanwell said, "The Northern River people possess advanced genetic technology. Mingxiao stole a heavily encrypted data report from their database, which concerns His Highness's core. They covered His Highness's core with the old core, which requires the genetic enhancement of another person. This person may be their successor."

This was data that Mingxiao had stolen before. He had just cracked it and was still thinking about how to find the key when Caesar happened to come across it.

Caesar said, "He's not very old, only fifteen or sixteen. Are you sure he's the one with the key? Could there be someone else?"

They must complete this task in one go. If anything goes wrong along the way and is discovered by the Beihe people, His Highness's core may face other unexpected events.

If the key belongs to someone else, he has to arrest that person.

Tanville said, "It's very simple. Just see if he has any attraction to His Highness. He shouldn't be the first key. There may have been other keys before him, but they are all dead. The fact that he has His Highness's core aura can confirm this."

Caesar nodded. "I understand. His Highness seemed very resistant to him today, as if he was deliberately distancing himself from him. Given His Highness's personality, I think it's him."

As a member of the prince's household, he was more sensitive than others to her every movement and expression, able to sense her emotions more keenly.

She seemed to be resisting Brightman, or rather, she was resisting something about him that attracted her.

Mingxiao said, "Lord Vanguard, His Highness's adoptive parents have been taken away by them, and they have already noticed."

"There are more and more ships and aircraft nearby," Secris said. "We need to speed up."

Caesar nodded: "You guys wait on the island, Obsidian and Nightfall are coming with me."

Cyrus said, "I'll go with you. Obsidian will stay behind. If anything happens, my abilities will be more useful."

Caesar glanced at Cyrus and said, "Okay."

Obsidian had originally intended to follow Caesar inside, but then retreated. Although he was eager to see His Highness, now was not the time for them to fight over these things; there would be plenty of opportunities in the future.

In the Federal Building, Brightman had just finished a meeting and was walking out of the elevator toward his room on the floor.

He saw the guards standing at the door, frowned, and waved them away.

He was constantly watched while on the floating island, and he didn't like being followed and monitored everywhere he went.

As soon as he entered the room, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him. He reacted quickly, drawing a sharp blade from his waist and attacking the person in front of him. Caesar blocked his attack and pulled him into the portal.

On the other side of the portal lies the courtyard where Anno currently resides in Amber Continent.

Caesar and Brightman fell out of the portal and exchanged several blows in the blink of an eye. Sparks flew as their blades clashed, illuminating the night.

Brightman pressed forward relentlessly with a cold expression. Caesar parried each of his attacks, but just as Brightman was about to launch his next attack, he was suddenly frozen in place, the blade stopping right in front of Caesar.

Caesar looked over and saw that Secris was holding Anno, who was still asleep. It was he who used his ability to freeze Brightman's movements.

Secris, carrying Anno, hurried toward Caesar: "Quick, His Highness's energy is acting strangely."

Caesar looked at Anno's face, which was flushed an abnormally, and touched it. Her face was burning hot, and the energy inside her was as ferocious as a vicious beast running rampant.

He immediately turned to look at Brightman, where a mark lit up on the side of Brightman's neck. That mark was the core mark of His Highness. When His Highness was still an egg, the core mark would appear on the eggshell, and all of his relatives recognized it.

He was the key, and after coming into contact with Her Highness, the core entity, he inadvertently activated her connection with the core.

There's no turning back now; we must find His Highness's core.

Caesar lashed out at Brightman with a soft whip, binding him, then opened a portal connecting to the sea and took him there.

Cyrus glanced down at Anno, suppressed his surging emotions, and entered the space.

As soon as he left, time, which had been frozen near Anno, immediately began to flow again. Winnie in the room immediately opened her eyes, turned her head, and saw that there was no one beside her.

Her pupils contracted—the baby was gone! She couldn't sense any of her energy around her either. She immediately ran to call for others, collapsing on the floor in her haste before quickly getting back up.

Caesar and his group stepped out of the portal, and Tanville and his group quickly surrounded them.

"It's His Highness!"
