Chapter 420: His Residence
After winding through the chaotic and crowded streets, Anno and the others were led by Lingjiu to a building.
From the outside, Anno saw that this part of the building area was on a high place, with houses stacked one on top of another. Those living on the upper floors could see the crowded and huge city below.
However, according to normal building principles, a large portion of the foundation below cannot support the building above.
Mingxiao told Anuo in the consciousness network that this house structure was due to the gravity of this area, plus the fact that there was a device placed under the house that could reduce the gravity of the earth's core. The house was equivalent to being suspended in the upper layer, with much less weight, so it could naturally be supported.
Anno's gaze swept across the scene. The houses were haphazardly assembled, their exteriors painted in various vibrant colors. These vivid and rich colors appeared strange and eerie in this gloomy world. Coupled with the enormous city floating in mid-air in front of them, this world resembled a bizarre and fantastical dream.
After carrying her into one of the houses, Lingjiu put her down.
Sitar and Mingxiao both huddled behind her, their eyes scanning Lingjiu's residence in unison.
The interior of the house reflects the unique style of the city, with a slightly low roof, arched doorways throughout, and a simple and clean layout.
As Anno and his companions guessed, there were no interstellar technological products in the room, no electrical appliances or networks, but some kind of energy stone.
She found the design of Zero Nine's spaceship very unique, including the spacecraft behind it and the various facilities she had just seen on the street, all of which were different from what they had seen when they lived on other planets.
Lingjiu lit the fireplace, which was fueled by a kind of stone. Various heat-generating energy stones were also placed in different corners of the room to dispel the chill and warm it up in no time.
The three of them watched him busily tidying up the house. Mingxiao went up to help him tidy up, while Lingjiu glanced at him but didn't say anything.
As Mingxiao tidied up, she checked out the various facilities in the house. The house was neither too big nor too small, with only one room that was open-plan, and the kitchen and living room were connected.
Fortunately, there was a restroom with a shower and water. He was worried that Lingjiu wouldn't need water, and the lack of a shower would be a problem.
The bathroom, however, seems to have been empty for a long time and is covered in dust.
Mingxiao noticed that Anuo was scratching herself from time to time. She hadn't been able to take a bath for the past few days, so she must be feeling unwell. She had also been caught in the rain and needed to take a proper shower.
After cleaning the bathroom and filling it with hot water, Mingxiao let the two young princes come in to take a bath.
Mingxiao noticed there were no toiletries available and asked Lingjiu how to buy them.
Ling Jiu watched intently as Ming Xiao busied himself taking care of An Nuo. When he heard that Ming Xiao wanted to buy something, she said, "What do you want to buy? I'll go buy it."
Mingxiao noticed that his room was very empty, and wondered how many years he had lived alone like this.
After thinking about it, I told him to go and buy some toiletries and a change of clothes for the time being, and that he and the young prince could go and buy the rest together.
Now he knows that Zero Nine wants to bring the little prince to his side. It's better that the Vanguard's true form isn't here, so he won't think about killing his own main body anymore.
His obsession in the past was to find the young prince, and now that he has found him, he doesn't even seem to care about Sitar. Perhaps because there is no core influence, this clone has no hostility towards Sitar.
For the foreseeable future, they will likely be living on Vala Star.
It wasn't just because Mingxiao couldn't connect to the outside world; when Mingxiao saw the room full of energy stones, he vaguely understood something.
Ling Jiu quickly bought back what Ming Xiao wanted. Anuo and the others hadn't taken a bath yet, and after all that fuss, she could finally relax comfortably in the hot water.
The two little ones were soaking in the bathtub. Ling Jiu had even bought them some small toys that could float on the water. Anno watched as Sitar sat obediently in the bathtub, occasionally poking at the floating toys in his hand. It seemed that he really liked these toys.
The bathtub was full of bubbles. She looked at the tiny Sitar in front of her and pinched his cheek. Sitar's deep blue eyes looked at her through the misty water, letting her pinch and touch him here and there.
"So cute!" Anno couldn't help but exclaim. Sure enough, little Sitar was more fun.
Sital's face was covered in foam from Anno's touch, and Anno smiled and wiped it all off for him.
Mingxiao was busy washing their hair by himself, washing one's hair and then the other's. Anuo, with the childlike nature of Anunu, picked up the water ladle that Mingxiao had placed in the bathtub, scooped up a basin of water, and splashed it at him.
Mingxiao's chest was soaked. He didn't expect Anuo to splash him, and he looked at Anuo in a daze.
Anno laughed and splashed him a few more times, then gave the ladle to Sitar. The two little cubs splashed him back and forth like this, soaking Mingxiao completely. Mingxiao didn't dodge; he was happy to see them having fun.
"Your Highness, let me wash your hair first, otherwise the foam will hurt if it gets in your eyes."
"Xiao Mingxiao, you should wash up too!"
"No, Your Highness, the bathtub is too small; I can't fit in."
"Silly girl, who told you to get in the bathtub and wash like that?"
