Chapter 323: Stand by Me

Chapter 323: Stand by Me

The melee lasted for a long time, and Anno and Bazel stood together watching, without stopping them.

The Zerg are warlike and have a volatile temperament; it's impossible for them not to fight.

She was just curious how they could have started fighting when they were just fine a moment ago.

She rarely used the consciousness network to explore the consciousness of her followers, including Sitar. She usually used the consciousness network to facilitate communication and learning.

Caesar just mentioned that he has a past grudge against Secris. Secris is the most composed among the Familia, and he was also the first to hatch. According to age, Secris is the oldest, and Caesar is the second oldest.

Secris was usually a man of few words, so she couldn't see anything about Secris targeting Caesar. He seemed to treat everyone the same way, and he spent the least amount of time with her, usually managing the Zerg army on the front lines.

He was also the family member his mother trusted most, and most of the affairs of the legion were entrusted to him.

Only when shifts changed would Secris return to her side and spend some time with her.

She looked at Secris, who was fighting Caesar. His black longsword reflected a sharp, cold light, and his momentum was overwhelming. Every strike was full of fierce attack and power. He was as steady as he was, yet he concealed his sharpness.

Caesar's fighting style was more unrestrained than his, showing no fear of exposing his vitals to their attacks, only wanting to strike more swiftly, regardless of the consequences.

This was the first time Anno had observed her familiars so closely. She had been back in the Zerg for less than two years, and the connection of the consciousness network allowed her to understand each of her familiars, but it was still far from enough.

The Zerg are no longer the same as they were at the beginning, with a completely different group mentality.

In the modern Zerg, under the vast collective consciousness, each member possesses their own unique soul and mindset.

Caesar and his men's battle had completely destroyed the crystal mine that had grown from the ground, and the flashing swords and clashing blades were about to sweep towards Anno.

Caesar and Tanvel's behavior enraged them all. In the past, they would tolerate her as much as possible, thinking of not causing her any trouble. But with Caesar stirring up trouble everywhere and Tanvel, who was more cunning than a beehive, how could the other members of the household possibly remain obedient and unmoved?

Moreover, now that they have Sitar, their chances of gaining His Highness's favor in the future are even fewer. If they don't fight for it now, when will they?

The fuse was Tanville, and it was Caesar who planted the explosive barrels, igniting all the resentment they had accumulated.

Caesar was being overwhelmed by the group, and the silvery-white insect patterns on his body were fully revealed, shimmering with a faint light. The sharp, black horns on his head were also covered with silvery-white patterns.

Although he was the strongest vanguard of the Zerg, his other familiars were not much weaker than him. In particular, Secris had been the strongest vanguard before him, and the controlled Mingxiao and Heiyao were also top-tier attackers. He gradually fell behind and began to get injured.

Even so, he did not fully transform into his original form, nor did he use his special abilities.

Caesar was sent flying by a heavy blow from Secris and landed in front of Anno. He quickly got up from the ground, knelt down, swung his long sword, and looked at them with a fierce gaze.

Sensing the gaze behind him, Caesar turned and glanced at Anno.

The next moment, he leaped forward and continued his attack on Secris and his men.

He can be injured, he can die, but he cannot lose.

"Are they really going to do it?" Nancy and the others had somehow ended up standing next to Anno. They saw that Caesar and the others were caught up in the frenzy and were in a violent mental state, so they were ready to stop them at any moment.

However, since the young prince has not yet spoken, they can only wait and see.

Anno watched as Caesar was grabbed by the shoulder by Mingxiao's incredibly fast figure and slammed into a small mine, where rocks rained down and buried them.

Anno couldn't help but take a step forward, his expression revealing worry.

Her consciousness circled within the consciousness network, and the irritable consciousness of several subordinates suppressed the other subordinates, who all remained watching.

She peered into Caesar's consciousness. At that moment, his mind was teetering on the edge of rage, yet he held on tightly to that taut line, controlling his mind to remain calm while being extremely excited.

In the pile of ore, Caesar grabbed Mingxiao's shoulder, and with a reverse press, slammed him to the ground, creating a large crater.

"Little Mingxiao!" Caesar hissed, "You have to be on my side!"

As he spoke, he punched Mingxiao repeatedly, slamming him to the ground and awakening his consciousness within the consciousness network.

"Even if you're controlled by Tanvel, you can't lay a hand on me! I'm the one who rescued you from the waste egg nest and gave you my energy share, otherwise you'd be a rotten egg right now!"

With a powerful punch, Mingxiao was almost embedded in the ground.

The golden halo in his eyes flickered for a moment before disappearing completely. He looked at Caesar with a dazed expression, Caesar's fist hovering above his cheek.

Caesar exhaled, released his grip on the man's collar, and slapped him on the face. "How can you be a vanguard like this, huh? You've been controlled by Tanvel so easily."

Mingxiao said somewhat aggrievedly, "Vanguard, we are not like you, with such strong mental resistance. That's Tanwell, I had no defense against him."

Caesar stood up and stretched out his hand to him: "Get up. I'll forgive you this time, but if you dare stand opposite me again, I'll throw you to another planet and you can forget about ever staying by His Highness's side again."

Upon hearing this, Mingxiao immediately straightened up, grabbed his hand, and stood up.

The two of them looked at the two groups of people standing in front of them.

Bai Yan and Hei Yao stood together. Hei Yao was still under control. Compared to Caesar, he had the most complaints about Tanville. So, including him, there were three people on Caesar's side.

"Little Mingxiao, if you want to become a vanguard, you must first defeat them. His Highness is watching."

Mingxiao drew his energy sword from his waist and said with a firm gaze, "Don't worry, Lord Caesar, I will always stand by your side."

Tanville raised his chin at them and said, "Again?"

Caesar: "You can back out, but without control, do you think you can withstand more than a few moves from me?"

Tanville shrugged and said, "This is my strength. I won't abandon my strength, and there's no need for me to fight you one-on-one."

After he finished speaking, he turned his gaze to Mingxiao, who glanced at Caesar and hid behind him.

Caesar grabbed him by the back of his collar and shoved him forward. "What are you afraid of? He can't control you right now."

Tanwell was able to control Mingxiao so easily only because he had access to Mingxiao's consciousness through the consciousness network. Now that Caesar's consciousness was blocking Mingxiao's way, Tanwell was able to control him so easily.

Mingxiao Dao held his sword horizontally forward: "Vanguard Lord, I'll go first!"
