Chapter 431: It's all true
Going anywhere is meaningless.
Anno sat on the snow, feeling that what he needed to see through was the illusion that trapped him.
She didn't dwell on why she was the only one trapped, or what the person behind it all was up to. She would only find out once she emerged from the illusion.
She closed her eyes, grabbed a handful of snow, and, following her earlier thought, told herself that what she was holding was not snow, but a stone.
A moment later, the snow in her hand turned into stone. After staring at the stone for a while, Anno closed her eyes again and turned the stone into the insectoid energy ore she was familiar with.
Upon seeing the shimmering, iridescent energy ore, her fingertips transformed into a semi-transparent form as she probed the ore's concentration.
Anno was surprised to find that the ore was real, and she could even absorb the energy from it.
The warm feeling of energy flowing into her body was exactly the same as the feeling she had when absorbing mineral energy.
If the eyes and touch can deceive, can the energy that is truly integrated into the body also deceive?
Anno pondered for a while, thinking of something she knew but had never seen.
That was what Caesar had told her before, discovered on a planet where one of his clones resided. It was a hybrid of animal and plant, soft and very elastic, with a semi-transparent shape. During the day, it looked like a water ball, displaying vibrant colors under the sunlight. At night, however, it shimmered silver, as if sprinkled with silver sequins. If you cut them in half, they would grow into two independent entities, and no matter how many times you cut them, they would all grow into a new one.
Because Caesar's avatar on that planet had died, Anno had only heard him describe it and had never actually seen such a creature. She didn't have a concrete image in her mind; she just imagined it based on what Caesar and she had described.
She wanted to verify one of her conjectures.
Two seconds later, a soft, slightly cool sphere appeared in her hand. It was daytime, and the sphere was just as Caesar had described—semi-transparent, shimmering with various colors under the refraction of light, making it quite beautiful.
She pulled out a knife and cut the ball in half, and the ball immediately became two pieces that rolled onto the snow.
Things that didn't exist in her mind were materialized according to her thoughts.
This was not her own illusion; someone was manipulating it and spying on her consciousness.
Anno's alarm bells rang loudly. Being spied on by someone other than the Zerg or some other creature was a very dangerous thing.
This is tantamount to exposing one's weaknesses to the enemy, especially one's most vulnerable spot.
She closed her eyes again, telling herself that none of this was real.
Her thoughts began to become chaotic. The sphere in her hand turned back into a stone, then quickly into an energy ore, and within two seconds into snow, sand, and even into a food that Anno liked to eat, emitting a delicious aroma.
Not only that, her surroundings were also constantly changing. Anno had her eyes closed, so she didn't notice that the illusion around her had turned into the cave and base where she used to live. The snow wolf and her friends from the base even appeared beside her.
Anno could vaguely sense it, but she kept telling herself that it wasn't real, that it was all an illusion created by someone spying on her consciousness.
It's not true, it's not true.
The more Anno thought about it, the less he could control his thoughts.
"These are all true." A voice echoed in her mind, and at the same time she felt something brush against her face, soft and gentle, like a feather.
"You can have anything you want, I'll give it to you." The voice sounded extremely rational, devoid of any emotional sentiment.
It's not about patiently persuading, but about earnestly telling you that He can do it.
Anno still didn't believe it. The voice was just a manifestation of consciousness; he couldn't tell if it was male or female, or what kind of creature it was.
He wasn't in a hurry to seduce her, but rather very calmly hovered around her consciousness, exploring and curious about her. In that extreme rationality, she could even feel a kind of joyful affection from Him. Although He was very restrained, she could still feel an eagerness in His consciousness, wanting her to accept something.
Anno cannot use her abilities and relies entirely on the instincts and reactions of her Zerg genes. This consciousness is very powerful; she even feels it is stronger than the consciousness of her father and mother. She cannot grasp it at all and can only observe it.
What exactly is this thing?
Anno tried to grasp His consciousness, but He teased her, making Anno feel like she was trying to catch a slippery fish.
Finally, Anuo became irritated and said, "You want me to believe you? You have to show up in front of me first before I believe you."
The consciousness asked, "In what form do you want me to appear?"
Anno sneered: "You will appear in whatever form you are."
"All right."
As soon as the consciousness finished speaking, a figure appeared in front of Anno. Anno looked up and saw Caesar.
Caesar's beautiful silver hair fluttered behind him as he bent down, smiling brightly at Anno.
Anno took a deep breath and said to the person in front of him, "I said, appear in your own form."
The voice in his mind said "Oh," and the Caesar in front of him immediately transformed into Sitar.
Anno couldn't help but curse, "Go to hell!"
